Another Doctor Who fan design: The Red Doctor and their companions
I mentioned Red in Village/Marigold's post, but they're a Doctor living in an alternate timeline where the British Empire kept going, expanding to the stars by the 22nd Century, with the assistance of supremacist aliens married into the Royal Family and House of Lords. The inspirations here are Jerry Cornelius (particularly A Cure For Cancer) and...well basically the entire genre of sci-fi characters inspired by Cornelius (Luther Arkwright, King Mob, "Lewis Carnelian" from Airtight Garage), They're the Doctor pushed past War's warrior persona and into a full on psychedelic rebel, unmoored from the need to even appear fully human with a bald head, grey petrified appearance, bright red clothes, the stark white "war paint" over their eyes...The Doctor at their most aggressive and alien, basically. No longer just dubious of establishments of power but fully committed to their destruction in the light of alt!British Empire's atrocities (fueled further by an America that never broke from British control after their ruling elite were similarly placated with alien technologies).
Also, something I didn't get into with Marigold: Companions. Red's coterie is made up of Octobriana, "Reggie DeMaurier", and a young Belgian journalist (not pictured). They're all existing characters modified slightly for the universe, with Octobriana being the primary Companion traveling with Red. Reggie is pretty transparently meant to be Harry DuBois, both as a shoutout to Disco Elysium and an indication of the sort of world Red inhabits. Tintin (who still needs a design) is included because of the famous Anarchist bootleg comic he appeared in, as well as a piece of fanart I saw years ago that reimagined Tintin was a cyberpunk, Akira-Blade Runner type character that's always stuck with me.
tl;dr what if The Doctor was a sexy violent genius idiot fighting a guerilla war against Sliding Albion.

Jim Rugg is the other half of Cartoonist Kayfabeand also a creator of comics. And zines. He created several titles such as Street Angel, the P.L.A.I.N. Janes with Cecil Castellucci and True Crime Funnies.
Also created a Blacklight Comic which Dave is reading here, Octobriana 1976. Octobriana is a Russian character created in 1971 by Petr Sadecký. She's not copyrighted so anyone can use her. Bryan Talbot's used her in things, she popped up in a Nikolai Dante comic in 2000AD and at one point David Bowie of all people, was going to produce a live acrion film!

Octobriana was created as a character representing the values of leftism, and was released into the public domain by her creator. However, much of her original artwork from the 1970s was plagiarized.

What does "Octobriana is the Nobilis Power of Communism" mean?
(in reference to this post here)
Hokay, so ... I'm going to preface this by saying that was very much a shitpost, you understand.
Octobriana is a public domain character who was created in the 1970s; she's found a place in the Jenny Everywhere fandom, given that Octobriana was one of the original inspirations for Jenny's concept as "a character which anyone can use". Octobriana is an embodiment of Communist ideals, supposedly "the spirit of the October Revolution", and she's a scantily-clad amazonian woman with a red star tattooed onto her forehead who's a good thousand years old. She's an immortal warrior who fights tyranny whilst traveling through time and space in a device called the Wonder Machine.
(She has kind of … shady origins, insofar as her creator Petr Sadecký apparently stole the artwork for the comic which initially featured her. As in, he commissioned Czech artists Bohumil Konečný and Zdeněk Burian to make comics about a politically-neutral character called "Amazonia" and then literally stole it without paying, and fled across the Iron Curtian and published it with this elaborate hoax describing a publication history by Soviet dissidents dating to the 1950s. Konečný and Zdeněk eventually successfully filed a lawsuit in West Germany. Nevertheless, given the widespread belief in Sadecký's hoax, the character herself is de facto in the public domain, and has had various appearances which Konečný and Burian apparently haven't raised a fuss over. You can read all about it on Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia that anyway.)
Nobilis is a tabletop RPG which delves into meta shenanigans. The premise is that Earth is just one of many realities hanging from the bough of the World Ash, and that Creation is being invaded by a horde of ambiguously-queer fascist mall goths from the void called Excrucians. To combat the Excrucians, the disparate forces of Creation have banded together and designated Imperators, which can be anything from traditional angels and demons to eldritch monstrosities to serpents the size of a solar system, who then uplift mortals -- usually humans -- into their service. These are the player characters.
A thus-Ennobled being is called a Power, and has an Estate consisting of some aspect of reality, such as Dreams, or Legumes, or Hamsters. A basic entry-level player character of Nobilis is functionally omnipotent with respect to their Estate; if you are the Power of Fire, you are capable of wreaking miracles which effect the entire universe, as long as fire is involved. Or death, or kittens, or oscillations. The Powers need to be that powerful, because the Excrucians have that much level of power.
So, uh ... extremely a shitpost.

Riko Sorova, aka Red Panic, the Great Red Ruby of Russia, once heir-apparent to lead the People’s Heroes before her father’s attempt to rescue her from Soviet scientists necessitated an even deeper level of secrecy
The child of an Ainu-Japanese mother and the Soviet Union’s Red Lantern, Ruby was raised in obscurity, separated from her father as her government attempted to forge her into a new ultimate weapon. Instead, as Ruby grew and began to think for herself, her power proved too much and she rebelled. Inspired by underground art and music, and those see saw true communists like Octobriana and Red Lantern (whose identity as her father would remain unknown to her until they finally reunited years later), Ruby embraced her bright red skin and the flames and searing heat that emanated from her body, adopting the trapping of a demoness unaccepted by East and West both, and this way...truly free.
Her brother Sardonyx, on the other hand...
