𝟐-𝟓 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐒 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐌𝐔𝐒𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐘 𝐁𝐄 𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐃 𝐁𝐘
𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒 .
I. Blue — At the risk of sounding cliché, her eyes are like staring into the deepest, bluest reaches of the sea. Her attire, too, encompasses a wide range of blues, most often dark navy or cerulean.
II. Black — The shape of her silhouette as a hole in the world. The imperceptible voidspace lurking behind her head.
III. Tarnished Silver — Buckles, clasps, rivets, and any other metallic accent. Lustre lost with the passage of time and lack of care, much like herself.
IV. Dark Red — Thick rivulets of blood trickling down from her nose and bisected throat. Hands stained and dripping with pomegranate juice.
𝐒𝐂𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 .
I. Blood. Faint to most unless you linger near her throat (why are you so close?), but those who are tantalized by the scent can smell her from a mile away.
II. The soap she currently uses for her hair & body smells like honey infused with chai spices, date sugar, tonka bean, and red musk. Sweet, slightly spicy, warm, and rich.
III. The ocean's salty breath clings to her hair and her clothes when she washes ashore.
𝐅𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐎𝐍 .
I. Scarves, chokers, bandages—oh my! She's always got something covering her neck.
II. Thighboots never go out of style.
III. Sweaters a few sizes too big to swallow her frame. Chunky knits or cute animal prints—as long as she's cozy and you can't see her shape, she's happy.
𝐎𝐁𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐒 .
I. Pomegranates. Usually two, sometimes three, always somehow at the ideal level of ripeness and striking the perfect balance between tart and sweet.
II. Several pages of sheet music that have begun to yellow with age—all duets, notably. Slightly crumpled from lining the bottom of her bird-bag, every corner bent one way or the other, the edges frayed and curling inwards.
III. Mystery mint tin. Contains mysteries in the form of pills, mints, hard candies, and sugar cubes. Eat a handful, see what happens.
IV. A thick stack of kami in a rainbow of colors. Wrapped in a plain white kerchief and secured with a length of twine.
V. Kalimba! The first instrument she's touched in over a decade. Thirty-four shiny steel tines arranged over a smooth slab of dark-stained rosewood.
𝐁𝐎𝐃𝐘 𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐀𝐆𝐄 .
I. Sitting with her legs drawn and arms folded across the tops of her knees, staring off into nothing.
II. Hands quaking as her fists and her jaw clench tight, biting back a decade's worth of molten rage; her eyes blaze with all the unspoken furies she dare not unleash.
III. Crossed arms pulled tight against her breast; the pressure of her nails digging in breaks the skin as she tries to still the trembling of her hands.
IV. Rarely—a fleeting, ragged smile tinged with melancholy.
𝐀𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐒 .
I. The ebb and flow of the midnight sea on a cloudless night. The swash lapping up against the shore scintillates a bright blue from bioluminescent life.
II. An insatiable void born of stellar collapse, a hole in the universe itself, devouring all traces of light caught in its indomitable gravitational pull.
III. A tiny round songbird with an injured wing nestled safely in your palm.
IV. Pressed forget-me-nots slipping from between the pages of a dusty book.
𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐒 .
I. "Oceans" - Saint Mesa
II. "Everywhere and Nowhere" - FFXIV
III. "Saturn" - Sleeping at Last (Instrumental Version 👀)
IV. "Gravity" - Vienna Teng
V. "Lay Me Down" - In This Moment

oh i’m glad you found a perfume you like! it’s never been my thing but i’ve enjoyed reading your posts about them 👍🏽
I'm glad I haven't been too annoying about it 😅 Admittedly I've got several I like! It's been a challenge primarily choosing which major perfume to invest in first, because they're so expensive. Ganymede is probably the most expensive of the bunch, but it's also my favorite by quite a wide margin.
Other pricier perfumes I know for a fact I want, because now I wanna gush about and share my favorites:
Beyond Romance
La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu
Grey Vetiver
L'Interdit
Eau de Soleil Blanc
And pretty much like, all of Jimmy Choo's femme fragrances.
So the challenge isn't so much finding what I like, it's figuring out what I like most so I can decide which purchase to make next. 😆
