My apologies for the absence! I feel like a broken record saying this, but I keep entering different phases of 'settling into life' (went through a massive change in my personal life last year), and then every time I get to 'Ah, all is calm now', something else happens. But I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, as one huge weight has now finally been lifted off my shoulders. Phew. /munches on my camembert and baguette.

oscar piastri being obsessed with his girlfriend: a compilation

Oscar Piastri was known as the introvert and reserved driver on the grid.

While other drivers basked in the spotlight and didn't shy away from sharing details about their personal life, Oscar often preferred to keep his privacy.

However, when it came to his girlfriend, it was a different story altogether.

Oscar was what people called "a total simp" when it came to his girlfriend, always bringing her up in interviews, promo videos and casual conversations, and fans couldn't miss the opportunity to make several compilation videos and tiktoks about it.

The most popular one was called "Oscar Piastri being obsessed with his girlfriend: a compilation" and the 15-minute long video was filled with moments that made fans both awe and laugh.

It started with the clip of the first time he publicly talked about her during a podcast interview, rumors about him not being single were spreading around but nothing was confirmed.

"I do have a girlfriend, yeah," Oscar said, a small smile playing on his face.

"You're not very public, aren't you?" the interviewer asked.

“We keep it to ourselves and try to be out of the spotlight and just live normal lives,” he replied, “We have been dating for over four years now, she has been there for me since the start of my career and I couldn't imagine my life without her. She's my biggest supporter and keeps me grounded.”

The next video showed Oscar and Lando sitting next to each other wearing their McLaren shirts, filming a game called "Green flag or Red flag."

"Picky eaters," the interviewer asked and Lando immediately waved the green flag.

"He's a very picky eater that's why," Oscar said, making Lando laugh, "But, what if they eat fish, cause you hate fish."

Lando dramatically raised the red flag, making everybody laugh again.

"You wouldn't date a pescatarian then," the interviewer said.

"No," Lando shook his head, "They shouldn't be here."

"My girlfriend's a pescatarian, actually," Oscar said, looking at his teammate with a raised eyebrow, "I'll pass that on to her.”

"Noooo mate!" Lando immediately shook his head, waving his hands in mock horror, "Don't tell her I said that, I don't want to be in trouble with your missus! She's a lovely girl."

"She is indeed, but I don't think she'll like you very much after this."

The next segment was from his "Day in the Life" video with Quad Lock, where Oscar gave fans a glimpse into his daily routine. In one particular clip, he was in the kitchen making breakfast.

"So, this is where the magic happens," Oscar said with a cheeky grin as he poured pancake batter onto a hot griddle, "My girlfriend loves pancakes, so I make them every Sunday. It's become sort of a tradition for us."

The camera then panned to a candid shot of his girlfriend, who was sitting at the kitchen island, sipping coffee and smiling fondly at Oscar. She blew him a kiss, which Oscar caught with a playful wink.

"There she is, sitting pretty while I play housewife."

The next clip in the compilation was from a press conference, where a journalist asked him how he manages to stay focused with such a demanding schedule.

"Having a supportive partner really helps," Oscar said earnestly, "She understands the pressures and the demands of the job. She’s my rock and makes everything a lot easier."

"Does it get hard for her when your schedule is too busy for your relationship?"

"My schedule is never too busy for my girlfriend, I always make sure to make time for her. That's why we've been going strong for four years now."

Another McLaren game with Lando was included, this time they were playing Finish the Lyric with Taylor Swift songs.

"Do you feel confident about this game, Oscar?" Lando asked his teammate.

"I do, actually," Oscar nodded confidently, "My girlfriend is a huge Taylor Swift fan so I know a lot of her songs."

"We should get your girl to come and play then," Lando teased.

"She'd probably beat us both, hands down. But I'm not giving up just yet." Oscar chuckled, shaking his head.

The compilation video then transitioned to a moment in the McLaren garage before the first quali of the Hungary Grand Prix. Oscar was off to the side, chatting with his girlfriend, who had joined him for the event.

They seemed to be in their own little bubble, Oscar's attention completely focused on her and his smile wide as he listened to her talk. The camera captured a sweet moment where he gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead. It was a simple gesture, but it spoke volumes about their relationship and fans absolutely melted at the interaction.

The next clip showed Oscar at a fan event in Australia, hundreds of fans gathered to meet the drivers and see them up close, Oscar was answering questions from the interviewers when he suddenly addressed one of the fans in the front row.

"I've got a girlfriend, thank you," he said into the microphone, making everyone laugh but look confused at the same time, "For everyone wondering, she just asked what my number was," the crowd laughed again even louder, "But I'm a happily taken man. You're nice but I'm not interested."

In that same event, he got asked what did he miss the most from the UK when he was back in Australia.

"My girlfriend," he immediately said, "Other than that the food is better here, the weather is better here. So my girlfriend, that's it."

The following video was also a fan interaction, this time it was a fan recorded video while he was signing stuff for those waiting for him as he arrived to the paddock for the Austin Grand Prix.

Oscar was signing autographs and taking pictures, when a fan handed him a photo of him and his girlfriend from a race weekend.

"Oh, this is a great picture," Oscar said, grinning as he looked at the photo. "This was taken at Silverstone, right? It was her first time at a race with me. She loved it."

"What's her favorite part about the races?" The fan smiled and asked.

"Probably the adrenaline and seeing me in action," Oscar chuckled, "But she also loves hanging out in the paddock. She gets along really well with everyone here."

The next clip showcased Oscar during a Twitch stream, where he was playing a racing simulator. His girlfriend walked into the room, and the chat exploded with excitement.

"Hey, love," Oscar greeted her, pausing the game.

"Am I interrupting you?" she softly asked.

"Nope, come here," he encouraged to come closer, "Everyone, this is my girlfriend," she waved at the camera, and Oscar wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her into the frame. "She's the reason I'm still sane," he joked, earning a kiss on the cheek from her.

The video included one of everyone's favorite interactions between the couple, captured by McLaren's instagram team.

Oscar had just finished a quiali, earning a P2 position, the camera caught as he reunited with his girlfriend who threw her arms around his neck as soon as she saw him.

"Hiii," he shyly said, a hint of a blush on his cheeks.

"You did such a great job, baby," she said, still wrapped around his arms, planting a kiss on his cheek.

"I couldn’t have done it without you cheering me on," he replied, his voice soft and genuine.

The final clip was from the FIA Prize Giving ceremony, Oscar stood on the stage, dressed in a sharp suit, the Rookie of the Year trophy shining in his hands.

"First of all, I want to thank my team, McLaren, for believing in me and giving me the opportunity," Oscar began, his voice steady but emotional, "But most importantly, I want to thank my girlfriend. She's been my rock through it all, supporting me every step of the way. This award is as much hers as it is mine."

The camera panned to his girlfriend, sitting in the audience with tears in her eyes, smiling proudly. The fans watching the livestream couldn't help but gush over the touching moment.

As the compilation ended, the screen faded to black with the text, "Oscar Piastri: The Ultimate Simp, and Proud of It."

So I may have become a little obsessed lately with comparing the stuff that made it into the drama vs what was cut - a lot of things in dramas get censored out but sometimes they will still get released or leaked either via promo materials or fan photography.

The footage above is a reuters of the scene where DFS confronts LLH immediately after being cleared of Asura grass and llh tries to run off. Below are images of the expressions that do make it into the drama which are fascinatingly... different? And far less animated. These expressions are what you get because they chose to have CY be far more frozen appearing vs what was in the reuters, where he's still able to move his head a bit. I just particularly like this clip because it's one of the only examples I've seen behind the scenes of the 'over affectionate eyes' that I heard the director kept telling them to dial back on. Also just where are you looking, llh?

Below is promo photo from Xiao Shunyao Studios' weibo that is also seen used by iQiyi. It's DSF tortured and in the hot bath and he's talking to LLH.

This loving expression does not make it into the drama at all. LMAO

I can't even guess where it would fit into it with the lines we're given -- was dialog cut? I have no idea. The closest is his sort of mixed-emotion, exhausted expression he has when saying "You're saving me unconditionally" but the vibe there is not the same as the one above.

And this last bit with the snow and rose petals during one of the bts videos - Cheng Yi narrates, saying something about how A'Fei "is also good at setting a romantic atmosphere!"

Except this is the deleted footage of DFS searching for LLH during the 3 months of the special episode. Reportedly not included due to his eyes/gaze being, again, too... something.

As if the snow wasn't romantic enough (Something something that old saying about white snow representing growing old together with your loved one), there's also pink rose petals. Both would be a lot already when taken individually - but they have BOTH flying across the screen. While the bereaved widow dfs wanders the street mournfully in search.

(Now I have to see if there are similar things happening with other characters as I rewatch lmao)

headcanons: TJD’s secret weapon aesthetic

request (anonymous): Idk why but I love the idea of judgement days secret weapon having the complete opposite aesthetic as the rest of them, super pink and hyper femme vibes

A/N: i was immediately obsessed and knew i needed to write some headcanons for this pls forgive me

the judgement day’s secret weapon was the perfect fit for the group while also sticking out like a sore thumb

when everyone else was in black and leather, accessorizing with chains and spikes...she was adding pink and anything feminine

finn is often the one to speak out about it the most, wanting her to match the group so they look more like a cohesive unit

“come on, baby, just wear the black outfit this one time? i promise you can change after we’re done!”

she’s got damian and rhea wrapped around her fingers though and they always defend her

“she can wear whatever she wants, balor.”

dominik was usually the one who she’d drag with her to go shopping for clothes because he was always going to tell her she looked good in everything

“should i get this? or this? or this?”

“all of it.”

while rhea was always doing her makeup super dark and kept her looks fairly simple, Y/N was the complete opposite

she loved glitter on her eyes, cute clips or accessories in her hair, and usually paired a black TJD t-shirt with pink or purple shorts and jackets

her favorite accessory? heart shaped, cherry flavored lollipops; she always had one during promos or at ringside and damian was prone to keeping extra in his pockets (he loved watching her suck them just as much)

other superstars would take the piss out on Y/N for how much she stuck out from the rest of the group and her partners would immediately stand up for her

one thing about their secret weapon though? she knew how to defend herself. she may look sweet and innocent but she was just as harsh as her partners in the ring

why did they call her their secret weapon? her sweet, innocent, feminine appearance always served as the perfect distraction against their opponents

it was easy to say that finn ate his words about Y/N not matching the group every time she came in clutch at a match

this is a long overdue post related to a popular cpn among us and a shared interest for zz and wyb. it’s interesting that both of them have picked up this sport in a span of time that’s mostly close to each other. while you can argue that it’s a popular sport and anyone can pick it up, when it comes to them, it adds to the pattern of them liking something at the same time. why is it always them? 😂😂😂😂

i wanna say that there is really no “big evidence” out there that we know of yet, but i think it’s still an important one. maybe one day a piece will come up and we can revisit.

GG and Tennis

between them, gg picked it up first, or publicly showed off his love for it. As early as 9/2022 during the Loreal Pro live, he shared some recent stuff he’s been enjoying which were badminton, billiards and tennis.

11/2022 he became more partial of tennis when XZS shared photos and videos of him playing the sport. as soon as he did, even the china open weibo account invited him to come on over and play. tho ZZ is not known to be the most sporty person out there, it ties up with his desire to be more fit. during that time, we have seen ZZ who was working out often. so playing tennis seems to be a rational step, tho at the time, we didn’t know how it could contribute to CPN. he also had said in other interviews that he wants to try and do more things, which is so similar to how wyb approaches his life and why i believe they work so well together. 🤍

then in the next events that he attended and interviews, you can see him saying tennis more often.

WYB and Tennis

what got me questioning the timeline of us saying that XZ started the whole tennis mania was yibo saying recently that he is playing tennis again. tho what i can only find is a 2015 video of him showing how he is playing tennis — which looks more like he was acting and doing it as a joke compared to now where he is obsessed with it. tho their hobbies should always be out there and spoken in public, knowing how quickly he picks things up, i don’t doubt he played the sport at one point before his other interests took over.

fast forward to now, starting the whole tennis story during chanel shenzhen where he was photographed playing and even the instructor posted about it. to being decked out in lacoste tennis gear. it was a quick switch cause we knew he has in his golf phase and then the love for tennis seemed to come from nowhere. we knew that the golf love was fueled by his co star from chang feng po lang. so who is the influence this time?

the evidence we see of him being in love with tennis started with bystander promos and then the recent post of ybo. i don’t know if we are gonna get more bits, unless he finds another hobby.

AND NOW IT’S CPN TIME. 🤍

the clowning immediately started as soon as wyb showed interest in the sport and we connected it to xz. which is usual for us cause we are cpfs! the speculation being, wyb played tennis before them dropped it. xz became a fan of the sport and most likely talked to wyb about it, hoping he would play with him. maybe they did play together at some point then wyb was lured into it lol. and now, it’s his new his favorite. i would honestly cackle if xzs somehow releases a clip of him playing tennis again. so/os are saying wyb is leeching or something but they don’t know it’s what boyfriends do! share each other’s likes!

recently, there were talks about a mystery photo of WYB going around that some are thinking is a time that they played together and that’s why WYB was cropped out. @rainbowsky talked about that here. but personally, i think this him with some friends or maybe an instructor + casual players. whoever posted that just wanted to share wyb’s photo. i’m not sure about the comments, but some are saying this place is close to where weibo night took place — an event they attended together. which makes people feel more 👀 about it.

their rackets are different but that doesn’t say much. they could use whatever they want. it’s weird tho that the recent ybo video posted had the brand of the racket blurred out when it wasn’t in the previous video. so why now?

ultimately, what attracts us to this cpn is the possibility that they play tennis together. also how they influence each other. whatever it is, i just hope they continue to go for the things they love and we will be here to support them. 💛

i definitely want a vtuber au as a means to explore genderfuckery but i think objectively the funniest option is corpo vtuber agency sisheng peak

chu wanning is a rescue, he used to be employed under rufeng productions but suddenly graduated. after his graduation it slowly came to light that rufeng is extremely exploitative and neglectful with it's livers.

he's the first liver in sisheng peak -- honestly, sisheng peak wasn't even supposed to be an agency at the start, xue zhengyong just noticed his specialest princess was feeling down now that he couldn't stream anymore and decided to lend a hand

tanlang elder/xie fengya becomes cwn's manager, they have a very endearing bickering relationship.

xfy nags him in chat to end stream and sleep/eat/etc.

xzy is affectionately called tianshi-laoban by fans, as he is also anonymous for the most part and is extremely beloved.

in rufeng cwn had the persona of a scholarly, tortured (musical) idol with extremely deep lore, he was adored for his guqin streams as well as asmr.

im sorry to say this but the funniest option for cwn's new vtuber persona is xia sini. extremely deep-voiced child saying "mods, ban him". he is obviously immediately nicknamed the boss baby.

the guqin streams return, the asmr streams do not. it is heavily theorized he was being forced to do the asmr.

cwn, partly due to his previous renown and the drama tied to rufeng, is a massive success

there's more than enough to profit coming in to fund any projects cwn wants to carry out (mostly some extremely ambitious charity streams) and xzy can't think of anything better to do with all this anime boyfriend cash than support more up-and-coming creatives and make more anime boyfriends.

thus enters their conservative second wave! the promos are angel-and-devil themed, which briefly makes people very excited that maybe tianshi-laoban is debuting but alas, that is not the case

shi mei and taxian-jun drop and some people are sad there's no ceo

most of them are just excited about the femboy and the daddy dom

shi mei (irl: hua binan) is the most sickeningly sweet powerfully pink femboy you have ever seen in your life. he opens every stream with a charmingly cringe "hi honeys! <3"

he does a cutesy voice and plays up a sweet adorable character during his debut but his first non-debut stream is "getting over it" and that image is shattered very quickly and he gets a reputation for being surprisingly foul-mouthed. probably for the better, he was liable to kill someone with an icepick if he had to keep doing that voice.

he plays a lot of horror games with a heart rate monitor and gets clipped for the fact that his heartrate never spikes.

taxian-jun (irl: mo ran) is the sort of obnoxious sultry daddy dom you expect him to be. he's the only one who really bothers with a lore video. a demon emperor who died lonely, nobody willing to love him due to his out of control temperament, only to be reborn and shown his first scraps of kindness by tianshi-laoban and xia sini.

he does so much asmr. a nauseating amount of boyfriend experience asmr

his model has tiddy jiggle, a massive amount of cleavage, a shirtless toggle, and has toggles to hold a cat-o-nine, handcuffs, and a blurred out sounding rod. he calls his fans his "kittens"

the only reason he doesn't get into controversy every other week is because he's indebted to xzy, and also doesn't want to disappoint shi mei or his shixiong.

collabs with all three members are kind of a nightmare.

it quickly becomes clear that both shi mei and taxian-jun are a little bit obsessed with xia sini and are competing for their shixiong's attention

Part 2 theories

So like everyone I have been brain rotting over part one and the trailer for part 2! I am firmly in the living for the season camp, although would never so no to more Polin lol.

As an anxious girlie (who is equal parts dreading and excited for the LW fallout) that preview gave me heart palpitation's 🫡. So I have been scouring all four corners of the web for spoilers and I have a theory for part 2, leave now to not be spoiled!

I don’t think this clip from the promo is the mirror scene and they are faking us out…. Shocking I know.

So we also see this dress here:

Which some internet sources report is from episode 5 when Colin has a major bust up with Portia and then he takes Pen to see their new house. At which Pen is very emotional because nobody has ever stood up for her before and they ahem… finish what they started in the carriage. 😱😱

Also before anyone says I know the hair is different, however you show me anyone who’s hair stays perfectly in place after having their shit rocked by their sexy pirate fiancé who just ripped ya mum a new one.

This is all supposedly before their wedding and before Colin discovers LW and I don’t think the mirror scene will happen before this point. Which would also make sense as the most anticipated scene I don’t think Netflix would want to spoil it in the trailers, baring maybe the carriage scene which was also noticeably absent from all P1 promo (maybe even more anticipated seeing as it doesn’t happen in the book and is only referenced as boob man Colin’s fantasy (can you blame him)). As well as the connotations of what the mirror scene represents, it doesn’t make narrative sense to put it before she reveals every part of herself to him and he reaffirms that he adores every part of her. At the very least I am manifesting this because I’ll cry if it is before 🙃.

So that being said I think this is a fake out showing their first time in their new home in ep 5 that ISNT the mirror scene which would come in maybe ep 7 or 8 following LW Fallout.

So thanks for coming to my ted talk or better described as a theorising ramble so I don’t loose my actual marbles over the next 4 weeks (I’m at a big old age of 8 and twenty and I can’t be doing with this stress hun okay I have a full time job and responsibilities, I can’t be obsessing like I’m 16 again).

the past month or so has been really strange for me in terms of my current fixation/interest/idk the word for with toby stephens

In 2010 I studied jane eyre as part of my english class and my teacher made us watch the 2006 bbc adaptation with him and ruth wilson in it, and although I didn’t read the book cover to cover, I really loved the adaptation

In 2013 I went to see him perform in private lives in london. at the time I was really into the tv show the hour, and seeing anna chancellor being cast really made me want to see the show, and recognising toby from the promo material made me even more excited about going

after the show my friend at the time and I waited at stage door to try and meet anna, and we were lucky enough to meet the entire cast as it was literally just me and my friend waiting there. all of them were really great but toby in particular went out of his way to interact with us and was really sweet I’ll never forget it. the show itself was so funny and was definitely a highlight of the theatre trips I’d been on that year, and I’d even got clippings of interviews and other promo bits that anna and toby had done during that time too

and then in 2014, I’d always been obsessed with period dramas but I’d managed to watch north and south (2004) for the first time, which honestly changed my life it’s still one of my favourite things ever. and as a collector I’d obviously wanted to have it on dvd, so I opened up amazon and added it to my basket and I’m not sure why, maybe it was offered as a recommendation? or having watched a period drama it made me think of others I’d enjoyed? but I bought the dvd for jane eyre as well.

and since then, even through the many times I’d culled my dvd collection I always managed to keep those two even though I didn’t watch them, because I knew how much I’d enjoyed them in the past I couldn’t part with them

since around 2021 I’ve watched north and south maybe once a year maybe twice but I was still reluctant to rewatch jane eyre in case it wasn’t as good as I remember but finally in 2024, after a little period drama resurgence I rewatched it. and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for weeks. I wanted to rewatch it immediately, I’d completely forgotten how good it was all those years ago and I was so glad I’d chosen to watch it again

about a month ago now, I’d seen a edit on my twitter of toby for black sails, I didn’t even know the show existed I had no idea of the context or anything but I saw it and was so intrigued by it that I went out the same day and bought the entire boxset, I had no job and I really didn’t have the money to purchase it but I just had a good feeling about it. (for context: I don’t have wifi at my place so I buy dvds to watch things) but after a couple of episodes I was so happy that I got them and I knew it would be my new favourite show ever and I was obviously obsessed with flint

since finishing black sails I bought a few more dvds of toby’s work and I’m having such a good time and I genuinely don’t know why I didn’t do this after seeing private lives because that’s my usual pattern after seeing things that I really enjoyed. I really admire his craft and there’s just something about him I can’t really describe but I’m just a little fascinated at the moment

it’s just been a strange but interesting time for me having loved an actor’s work for such a long time, having met him such a long time ago and only now really exploring his work properly. I’m obviously having the best time but it feels so.. bittersweet? illogical? like I’ve missed out on a lot? life is strange…

but anyway I watched the tenant of wildfell hall today and baby toby holding a puppy healed me

What are your impressions about the documentary?

Thanks for asking, anon! Going on press, clips, and talk from other fans, but there is a lot out there, so.

I wonder would it lead a person who isn’t a fan to Spotify / iTunes / Ticketmaster? Worth noting other artists time their documentaries around a new album or single release. Will it convince them he’s a good artist or just that he’s popular with a limited demographic? But even if it has the potential to make people interested in his music… who will watch besides fans? Let's see when and where it streams, and if it's promoted at all. The one interview to introduce the project was the last thing that would inspire someone to watch. All this talk about setting the story straight—the same story he has been telling since 2017 but OK—and defying expectations, but LTHQ is the one who has continually served him up to be belittled as an artist and exposed in his personal life?

Then, look at this review: 'Do you have to be a fan of his music? Not at all. Can you still admire the way his personhood is portrayed? Of course. And this film captures that in abundance.' Equally someone who sees him on Lorraine or DM might like him and wish him the best while still not believing in him as an artist and having no interest in his music. The documentary obviously isn’t personhood detached from the music as promo has frequently been over the years, but I get the impression it could have been more effective showcasing Louis the artist and the music.

Related to this, there has forever been this element of tying Louis deserving success or being a fan of him to his personal life. As though he couldn’t sell music and be recognized as an artist without an inspirational story. For me being a good son, brother, father, friend... is separate from the fact that he is a good singer, songwriter, performer. In any case, while going from ‘And then there’s me…’ to ‘I feel worthy now’ is a good underdog tale in theory, actually he’s been stuck in a position of having to prove he’s deserving of success, or rather a minimum of respect as an artist for seven years. Because his team repeated the questioning part again and again, perpetuating doubts planted since 1D in people’s minds about his talent, his ‘worthiness’ as a successful artist, but never paired it with the answer: the resounding yes it deserved, and the proof of it. His team continues to not push his music, and what Charlie said is true, that Louis is at a point a lot of artists never get to, but also… success isn’t one and done, and you can’t take a fanbase for granted. And regardless of numbers, what artist doesn’t want his music heard?

Finally, all documentaries call themselves raw and unvarnished, show an artist balancing superstardom with normal life, etc. There is a formula. Once again, for all that Charlie claims it’s not a ‘promotional piece’ it is presenting an edited version of reality. It can be honest but it is a movie, and I don’t like how it encourages fans in their obsession over his personal life and people around him. I’ve seen fanvids of Freddie already. And I will wonder at someone who values his common people upbringing and has a complicated relationship with fame not ensuring his son's childhood is private. Hallmark fatherhood of kites in the sunset and matching trainers won’t stop me from wondering why he moved to UK with his dog and girlfriend in 2017 instead of living full time in LA when he didn’t tour until 2020/22. And these are things one can question while believing it’s real. But anyway. His isolation from his peers also seems glaring in the documentary? He seems to exist in as much of a bubble as his career. But, it is what it is. Looking forward to tour :’)

Zayn is so weird. He had such a gift, and by that I mean they all did, coming out of a boy band phenomenon like 1D. He had X number of followers who wanted great music featuring Zayn and his quiet but cheeky, arty, long-lashed self.

It's not like there's some sort of sacred formula for pop stardom only available to the initiated. Sing well, look great, collaborate with grace and enthusiasm, tour so people can breath your rare air, don't abuse women, in fact big women up whenever you can because they're your audience, and don't be self-pitying. Work bloody hard, stay seen, have a plan for that. Generate content that people will share. It isn't easy to get a start and build an audience, that's a fact, but he had already done that! That's what I don't understand!

When you look at what Harry has thrown at the job, I'm amazed he's still standing. And he's done it alongside the very difficult task of protecting his private life from people who are obsessed with learning his every thought. I am one! (He's never wavered from that and I sense lately with this Hrought that people really are getting the message that he's not available for anything but the job.) He dialled it down for HsH but he'd earned that after HS1 and FL releases. I got in around the FL period and he did a solid five months of promo before stopping because of covid. Otherwise he'd have had a month and a half which would have been tour rehearsals, then a world tour. Look at how often the photos, clips, interviews from that era are shared still.

People are sort of shocked that Zayn's doing so badly but he doesn't make any effort to share his work self with people in a way that they can get behind. He went from: I'm on my farm, to a couple of lives and Youtube segments, to a couple of songs where he's not really giving much in terms of performance. It's emphatically not enough. Such a low-effort release, really. Maybe there's a strategy to come but it's all so lacklustre, and I have the feeling that's just who he is?

This is so much more promo than he's done since 2016.
