It seems like Jon would’ve had his hands pretty full when he was running around in the tunnels with a flashlight in one hand and a tape recorder in the other, I think it would’ve been fun if he just got some light up sketchers so they could just light his way as he walked so he wouldn’t even need a flashlight.
This dose pose two major challenges though, number one, Tim is not gonna leave Jon alone about them lol (as is his right), and number two (my personal favourite) at the end of season two when Jon is trying to out run the NotSasha! It would be pretty hard for him to hide if the NotThem! Could just follow the flashing light coming from his shoes. I think that it would be hilarious, just picture that deranged sweaty little guy sprinting away from a monster, trying to outrun it through these confusing tunnels but the monster knows where he’s going because his sketchers keep lighting up, so then Jon’s trying to outrun the creature and take his shoes off at the same time, hopping down the tunnels on one foot as he tries to pull the shoe off, once it’s off he immediately chucks it at the NotThem! To try and slow them down. It amazes me how easily this horror podcast could have been a comedy, they were really walking that thin thin line.

Tim and Sasha for the monster au. Tim is fire but safe fire, he can’t burn stuff unless he like puts in that effort. But Jon makes him wear gloves anyway just in case.

Listening to the Magnus Archives doodle part 2.
Just finished Season 2. Got started on Season 3. Had fun doodling while listening to the Ambience of Jon having a panic attack and sobbing.
Was genuinely heartbroken when he relistened to Sasha's old voice. Slowly made my heart sink with dread.
This show is amazing.

I'm losing my mind thinking about Jon terrified out of his mind in the tunnels where his predecessor got fucking murdered, being chased by a fucking monster that he accidentally unleashed, with only a tape recorder and a fucking metal pipe. My bro is in need of buckets of therapy

I've figured it out.
I've figured it out.
I'VE FIGURED IT OUT.
The magnus protocol. The redacted names. In another universe. Without the fears. The fears had such an impact on the tma universe that things like NAMES would be different. And of course we'd still have all of our characters we know and love. Just without the impact of the fears. And most likely different names. Because they all have last names of horror authors. Stoker. Sims. Blackwood etc. Without the fears would they have anything like that to write about? No. And so they'd have different names. And jonny saying two things proves this.
Tumblr media
Familiar voices you say?
Tumblr media
Being confused if we know the voices of tma you say?
That's because we have our characters we've had five whole seasons of, both without the trauma of the entities and without their names. Without each other even.
The Bouchard name proves this by the way. The fact that elias' name is their proves that elias' family (also could be his wife or even him just his deadname) lived on because jonah magnus did not become elias.
The redacted names for Jonny and Alex's characters are because they play more than one, totally different versions of their characters.
And with the other redacted name maybe it's someone who was claimed by the not-them without anyone realising, and this was the real them.
Also if this proves to be true and they give us Original sasha in the new universe i will sob. I need tim and sasha and gerry and and and ohmy god
Also i do really want a new distortion to manifest in the magnus protocol. I have theories which i am keeping to myself for now in case i am wildly wrong.
Anyway
I need your opinions on this

This is going to be fun! We finally got our hands on some really good skin, we do have to skin him beforehand though!
I did promise I would wear him one day didn't I? Time is so short, we need to use it wisely!

The Magnus Archives AU: The Magnus HR Department
Because the Distortion is kinda sorta Michael, it's still under the contract for Elias that Michael signed. Distortion Michael finds its plans derailed by having to still work at the Institute. With nothing else for the Spiral agent to really do, Elias makes him head of HR, tasking him with feeding anyone who complains too much to the hallways. Archive staff is exempt because Elias still needs them so Michael has to settle for being an unbearable coworker to Jon instead of killing him as planned.
Jon only discovers this when he takes Not-Sasha to the HR office to help fix her computer for the fiftieth time and sees Michael sitting there with bags under his eyes and a cup of glowing coffee. Not-Sasha has an existential crisis when Michael explains the situation, realizing that they might be stuck under Elias's contract too. This being Season 2 Jon, this breakdown only further convinces him that Sasha is trustworthy and everyone else isn't. How else would you react to finding out the eldritch abomination stalking you was now your co-worker?
Not-Sasha tries to quit, but Elias makes it clear he knows exactly what they are and reassigns them to HR to keep them from trying to kill his employees. Elias is hoping this'll provoke the Stranger cult to attack the Institute so Jon can get marked by them, but Nikola thinks this situation is hilarious and leaves them be so she can hear about all the juicy Magnus office drama instead.
The Archive Staff try to be sympathetic to "Sasha" being stuck working with her stalker and Tim even threatens Michael not to lay a hand on her. Jon stops by to offer his support to Sasha and Michael is flabbergasted to see a Head Archivist who actually cares about his employees. Not-Sasha is just annoyed.
Everyone outside the Archive staff thinks that Michael is just a myth, until one day he walks out into the break room, nabs some random guy, and drags him back to the HR Office so Michael can "hear his complaint". After three minutes of screaming, the guy is never heard from again. Everyone tries to resign in mass after that, but Elias tells them to take it up with HR. No one does.
Martin thinks he's protecting the staff by satiating Michael with tea. Michael plays into this because he thinks its funny. And the tea is really good.
Not-Them uses Michael's hallways as an uber to report back to the Circus about their ritual plans. And to gossip with Nikola about the burgeoning Jon Martin love drama.
Not Sasha's new responsibilities keeps them from trying to kill anyone and Sasha's absence keeps Jon from investigating her and discovering the truth, so they survive undercover past Season Two. Instead, Jon happens across Jurgen while investigating the tunnels and the rest plays out as in canon from there.
When the Unknowing is foiled, Not Sasha gets their revenge by being maliciously compliant, become a very helpful HR Rep who improves the workplace in ways that help employees but inconvenience Elias/Peter. Michael helps because Peter keeps sending bad employees to the Lonely instead of letting him eat them, so he's pissed too.
While annoying Jon in his office one day, Michael notices Jon about to burn Gerry's page and swipes it from him. When Michael reads Gerry's page, he explains that if the contract can keeo Michael on staff now that he's the Distortion, then Gerry probably still works here too now that he's a book. The HR Department now spends all of Season 4 complaining about Gertrude and passive aggressively annoying Peter, with Gerry as an unofficial member (no one can find Peter to ask him what Gerry's job should be now).
Finally, the Season ends with the HR Team preventing the apocalypse by realizing that Elias technically isn't protected by the contracts while in prison, so Michael just stops by jail and yeets him into the hallways. Jon kills Peter to save Martin and Martin is now head of the Institute, working to undo the damage Elias and Peter did while trying to keep the HR Team in line. They can't hurt anyone else while working for him, after all.... mostly.

After the whole Not!Sasha, everyone in the Archives Wing agreed to take multiple polaroid pictures
Everyone has copies and they did the same as new people joined/got trapped
No matter how angry Tim was at Jon, he still kept an eye on his polaroid to curb his worries

Tma fans, I have something to admit.
I did not notice when Sasha was taken and replaced. I did not realize anything even when her voice actor was drastically changed. I’m telling you, I listened through the season 1 finale and a few episodes in season 2 back to back and I did not notice anything amiss.
Which tells us that me and that plumber who didn’t notice the skinned humans or flesh in the drain and general Stranger shenanigans would get along great

Good evening gents, I have been going through the Magnus timeline to try and figure out what may have changed in this scenario of The fire in 1999 killing everyone in it/destroying the institute and it’s very interesting to me so here is some things I’d like to share with y’all.(please share your opinions on these things as well)
•Michael Shelly was sacrificed to the spiral around 2009-2011 and he was most likely hired around the 1980s or 90s (this is a educated guess) which suggests he was most likely one of the casualties taken in the fire, it’s sad because he would’ve been so young but kinda happy he probably wasn’t sacrificed lol
•this also means Michael was never distorted and also probably Helen never was either, there is evidence of a spiral creature similar to them though in MAG 8 so I’m curious to how The Spiral as a Entity will exist in the Magnus protocol
•in 2006 Abelard Dekker wrote a letter to Gertrude about his theory of an emerging 15th entity (the Extinction) and that is also how a lot of other main characters learn about it so I’m curious as well about how/if the Extinction will exist in the mag protocol without that letter being written or sent
•In 2007 Gertrude buys “The key of Solomon” off Leitner and in 2015 they destroyed it, not a lot of information was given on the book but makes me wonder where it would have ended up/if we will see more/new Leitners
•Brutal pipe murder probably never happened, what the fuck happened to Jurgen Leitner, if he pops up in Mag protocol I’ll punch a hole in my wall
•what happens with the NotThem!/the web table if Jon never destroyed it with a axe?
•decent amount of statements not given to the institute/artefacts not delivered, did they just go to the Incident Assessment and Response or if not what happened to them? Was anything different?
•Eric Delano is another character that has a very up in the air timeline lol so it’s possible he also died in the fire but if he quite before that then he was never summoned by Gertrude in 2008 so either way I have the question of, dose anyone know they can get out of the eye by taking out there own eyes?
•Mary Keay was destroyed by Gertrude in 2013, of that never happened what happens to Mary? And more importantly what happens to Gerard Keay, and would he still have burned all those Leitners without Gertrude. At the very least hope to all hope that without Gertrude he would have gotten to just die and not be bound to to the book but with his mom still about who knows
•even More importantly without Gertrude would he still almost beat Jurgen Leitner to death lol
•Tim’s brother was killed in 2013, if Tim hadn’t joined the Magnus institute what would he have done instead
•Is monster pig still out there if Gertrude hadn’t suggested encasing it in cement
•in the years between 1999-2015 Gertrude stopped quite a few rituals, it’s most likely without her they still would have failed but how exactly would servants of these entities react, would they sooner realize on there own why it doesn’t work or what would happen exactly with that?
I will most probably be adding onto this later but here you go, please tell me if you have any theories about any of these things <3
