These are my heroes. I personally don't think that Elfilis, Morpho, nor Galaxia are Heroes of Yore, but I do think the theories for each of them do have evidence for them.

Akume she/they. I made her name a mash up of akumu and yume, which means nightmare and dream in Japanese respectively. She used to be one of the only creatures that could dream, the ancients proposed the Fountain of Dreams to her and she took them up on that offer. She would be able to finally spread the amazement of dreams to everyone. Akume doesn't have feeling in her arm-like-ribbons. She has a seemingly infinite amount of them. If cut and put under someone's pillow they will be able to dream. So they use their ribbons to make the star rod that gets placed in the center of the Fountain of Dreams. She can enter people's dreams or even cause people to dream, but she must stay in their dream world to keep them dreaming (before the Fountain was built). She can cause nightmares for people too, but she doesn't like doing that. She can pull people into her own dream world. She can use dreams to find out what's been on someone's mind since they will dream about it. She feels like that's a huge invasion of privacy though. She did that once with Galacta because he's always distant and kinda cold. She never told him, but it helped her understand him more. She's the closest to Galacta. Akume didn't know Galacta was sealed away. She would have killed the ancients if she knew. To Akume, Galacta just left and Noke and Lueray were probably dead. With all her friends gone, she decided to "seal" herself into the Star Rod to take an eternal sleep, but she can leave at any time. She had tried many times to reach Galacta in his dreams, but he was either not asleep or was using magic so she could never check on him. It was hundreds of years later when she finally found out through other's dreams what happened to Galacta. Her shock, anger, guilt caused her to accidentally mess with the power in the Star Rod which let Nightmare take over the fountain. When the Star Rod was broken she wasn't able to leave it, but it might've been for the best since it also prevented her from destroying something. Things got worse when the Morpho Knight thing happened and she found out… Akume also has some water magic and can turn water into clouds which is her preferred way of controlling water.

Noke he/him. Noke is a powerful mage and specializes in protection magic. He is great at making shields that let the one being protected able to still attack. He’s pretty good with adding buffs to the team’s attacks too. He definitely can fight, but he is much better at defense. Lueray and Noke are dating and even have pet names for each other like Nokey and Lulu. Noke early on being one of the heroes got corrupted by dark matter/a piece of a Jamba Heart. He was still in control, but it was slowly getting worse. He used the, then empty, Master Crown to help control the dark matter. The gem was the main thing that had the magic to slow down the corruption. The corruption started to physically change him. His mouth got kind of melty which he was very self conscious about it, which led to Galacta suggesting they all wear masks as the Heroes. Splotches eventually appeared on his horns too which Lueray crocheted covers for. Lueray knew about the corruption first, but Noke later told the other two. After Void was sealed away, the corruption was getting too hard for Noke to bear. The Heroes had to make the awful decision to seal Noke into the Master Crown in the hope that it would stop the corruption and they would break the seal once they found out how to undo the corruption. This was a better choice than having to kill Noke when he finally lost control. Lueray was the one to take the Master Crown to Landia to guard in Halcandra. The Heroes were never able to return for him. Noke is actually still alive, but in a deep sleep. When Magolor gets possessed by the Master Crown, he is possessed by the dark matter part, not Noke. Noke is aware about the possession of Magolor though. I have the headcanon that some of the pieces of the Master Crown are still embedded in Magolor’s head. Noke is now aware about what’s going on around him, but he is too weak to communicate with Magolor. Magolor has no clue that one of the Heroes of Yore was sealed in the crown, it was never documented.

Lueray she/her. She’s kind of motherly, protective, kind, very outward about showing her love and care about her friends. She is a Halcaldran and was a mechanic before being recruited as one of the Heroes. She is one of the best dimensional mages out there. She was the lead mechanic in the building of the Lor Starcutter. Her dimensional magic was crucial to getting it to open up rifts to travel through. Lueray is the one who makes battle plans for the Heroes and she knows how to utilize everyone’s powers to the fullest. She was the first to fall in love with Noke and was the one to confess. She cares deeply for him. This made Noke’s corruption hurt her so much more. After she took the Master Crown and gave it to Landia to protect. She couldn’t bring herself to leave. She just could leave him. The Lor Starcutter was nearby and she decided to seal her consciousness in it (probably via her dimensional magic). This was a decision made during intense grief, but it could be undone. She couldn’t control the ship at the time, so she was kind of stuck. This is what started the rumor that the Lor can talk to you. When the people stopped using the Lor she lost consciousness only regaining after Magolor repaired it hundreds of years later. She knew about Magolor’s plan to take the Master Crown, but she didn’t stop him. In truth, she wanted to see if Noke was somehow still alive. When Magolor got possessed by the crown, she took that as Noke must be long dead. She felt bad that she let Magolor go through all of this when she knew what could happen. She decided to try and protect him. A few years after the events of Return to Dream Land she finally decided to talk to Magolor. She called herself “Lor” and never told him that she was anything more than A.I. They get along well and it was nice to finally have someone to talk to after all these years (she never talked to the other Halcaldrans when in the Lor out of fear of being recognized). It’s a plus that he’s so invested in ancient history including the Heroes of Yore. It was so nice to her about her old friends, even though she would never see them again. Although hearing what happened to Galacta really pained her. After a while Lueray ends up thinking of Magolor like a son and finding out he is now one of, if not the, last Halcaldran left has just added to it. 

Something quick: Galacta Knight. Galacta was raised to be nothing more than a weapon. This is while he comes off as distant. He truly loves the other heroes, he sees them like family. He has a hard time with this though since he was raised to be emotionless and just do what he was told. Akume at some point teaches Gala some dream magic that lets him mainly magic that lets him invoke a dream onto someone including onto himself. This is the magic in the above mention that prevented Akume from reaching him. He didn’t know she was reaching out. Galacta was conscious the whole time while sealed in the crystal. He did his best to sleep most of the time and the dream magic he knows helped with that, but he can only sleep so much before he gets too much energy to fall back asleep. He suffered like this for hundreds of years. Hundreds! Until he got captured by Morpho. 

Note: All four of them are still alive. Even Galacta Knight. They just kind of assume the others are dead though. Except for Noke who realized that the “Lor A.I.” is actually Lueray, but has no way to communicate with her
