ive been disillusioned with a lot of the left for a while, it's nice to at least see that other ppl see it now, though the reason why kinda fucking sucks.

#theres a special kind of agony in tryinf to find an apartment in an college town with a housing shortage #everythings expensive as fuck and im sure its frustrating for everyone but i feel like its especially frustrating for me #bc it takes me so much fucking time to understand the information right in front of me and then i doubt myself so i have to check and check #and double check and triple check that im on the right website. that im inputting the right info #and its like. what if theres a better place i could b looking? like i found a management place to apply to thats expensive but less #expensive than another place but the building looks like its kinda on the edge of town like 15min drive from school #which i hate bc im an anxious freak and its gonna b worse than driving here bc itll get icey as fuck there #like proper inches of snow all winter. negative negative cold. so its like. do i take a nice apartment thats kinda far away #or a slightly more expensive apartment thats like 10min from school and more in town #and then theres the application stuff. and i cant fill anything out without having a full on like sobbing breakdown #but im that way abt everything. i do that all the time when i have to buy plane tickets #its exhausting. and i cant plan my exit until i know when i can move into a place. whatever. it doesnt help that my hormones r fucked rn #or i hope its the hormones. ive been so tired. so so tired. like sleeping 9hrs and still tired when usually im wired after only 7hrs sleep #i hate it. and super brain foggy. and this week i have to finish taking measurements for the last time #so i gotta decide if im gonna go in tomorrow or Monday to start it. its gonna suck so bad bc im gonna try to do it in 6 days. which will b #agony. but after that ill never have to do it ever again. ugh. im just so tired and i dont wanna limp my way into a new project feeling #like damaged goods. which is exactly what it feels like now. ive just done a very good job of making my job difficult #cant go into the lab without feeling physically ill. drained away all my joy. now theres only a sad distant recognition of how far ive #allowed myself to fall. i kno ill feel better once i have a place to stay and i can quit my job just getting there is taking an eternity #unrelated

Two Door Cinema Club is coming in February and I'm going if it costs me my life

#ive only seen them once in 2013(?) and my best friend literally passed out in the middle of the crowd and i had to carry her out #the venue was very hot and way overbooked and it was the dead of winter so everyone was in sweaters and stuff. including my friend #and she was on her period. the combo of anemia + heat + her untreated ED caught up with her and she just fucking dropped to the floor #she was very tall and lanky and im very small but strong and i literally had to toss her over my shoukder fireman style #and drag her out of the crowd to the fresh air with her toes scraping the ground behind us #laid her down on the downtown atlanta sidewalk and waited for her mom to come get us while i listened to the rest of the show lol #i didnt mean to tell the whole story but it was one of the wildest moments of my life lol.#she was fine btw! i wont name her bc she's successfully pursuing fame in LA now #anyyyywaaayssssss i am gonna see them in person forrealsies and in full at any cost #heavily considering getting my sibling a ticket to the show and bringing her with us instead of the holiday present she asked for #she really wanted to go but my mom cant stand for the whole show to chaperone #cam talks

the way i was talking with my manager today and he casually dropped that if i wanted to, i could go to new york in a couple weeks to do some in office planning with another team member…

like i had basically come to terms with the fact i probably wasn’t gonna get to see the final sondheim show but if work is literally paying for my flight and hotel and meals…… how could i not……. and if i wanted to get REALLY crazy with it i could see all three sondheim shows that will be on broadway. although the merrily prices are so ridiculous even then i don’t know if i could bring myself to pay them. especially once you do the usd to cad conversion. but STILL

#ive had the vaguest plans of wanting to put together a sondheim trip for SO LONG #but it was gonna be soooooo expensive #now everything just got so much more real #ive got the sign off from my manager so i just need the other guy on my team to not be like oh thats stupid #which i dont think he will #im gonna bring it up on thursday #and then send my manager a message either thursday or friday getting him to confirm its ok #AND THEN I CAN BOOK FLIGHTS AND HOTELS #im thinking fly up on wed fly back on sat #which would give me three show slots for sure #four if i book a late sat flight and go to a matinee #though honestly idk what else i should see #lsoh maybe #maybe just see what cheap rush tickets i can get day of #lol the way i have already planned this whole thing if it falls through for some reason im gonna be so sad

I really relate to Canadian in this point, cuz like a lot of people say "oh at least people go to Brazil" but they make one show in São Paulo (maybe one in Rio de Janeiro if we're lucky) and call it a day and we're the 5th largest country in the planet? One show is not enough? And it's a 9 hour drive for me to get to São Paulo so it's a whole event trying to go to a show and i feel like it's like that with Canada too, because Canada is what? 2th largest country? And sure, there's shows, but it's one show in Toronto and Vancouver if you're lucky? And there's no way in hell everyone that wants to see them can make it to these two places. Honestly makes me want to cry.
