I'd like to share this submission form for the return of Lee Point to the care of the Larrakia people. Defence Housing Australia and the NT Government wish to destroy the land to build housing for the military and to sell to overseas buyers. The government has proposed a national park in response to the movement to save Lee Point, but this park does not include the land they wish to destroy. The form asks where you may be from but I believe you can submit even if you're not a resident of the NT but wish to support this movement — I'd specifically urge any Australians who see this to support this return of land to traditional owners.
The deadline is 9am April 21st — I believe that is local time (GMT + 9.5) at the time of making this post there have been 220 submissions.
If you wish to learn more about this, I'd suggest checking out Laniyuk on Instagram who has made many videos and posts about Lee Point.
