Thinking about a modern Dracula remake except no one knows it’s a modern Dracula remake
No one has the same names
It’s the same exact plot and story beats and such, just in a modern setting
But all the names are changed
So no one knows the creepy old rich billionaire gaslighting the humble lawyer is supposed to be modern Dracula
And then the guy calls himself Dracula in the third act and everyone is like “OH MY GOD WE’RE IN A DRACULA REMAKE”
And the Texan in the corner starts sweating bullets

just some 5am ramblies
last night I posted chapter 45. the nights I post (usually Sunday nights) I tend not to sleep very much, which is great until I have to go to work at 6am. heheheheheheeeee
so now that I'm in a slightly loopy state of mind due to lack of sleep, I felt like saying HELLO!
I'm glad people have been enjoying the new chapter! it was VERY emotional to write. and very exciting! and of course... yes. the yes
I saw some people commenting that they were afraid it was all a dream. I assure you, it was not. the thing happened. the next chapter Has Been Written since before the beginning was written. I just gotta. get it edited and squinch it into shape (make sure it fits the rest of the fic) and then get brave enough to post it
also I know I haven't responded to the comments on ch 44 yet. sorry about that. sometimes it gets really daunting and I feel like I'm repeating myself over and over. and maybe it's somewhat moot to reply now, as another ch has already come out. but uh, I'll try my best
also I do see people here and there wondering if it's too late to get into the story. it's never too late! I just hope you haven't been spoiled. there's a lotta stuff in the story. if you like long stories, I think there's probably something in there you will enjoy. I hope so
as we get closer to the last adventure, I'll gently prod people into reading the comics. there's Resources now for doing so, yar har, and if you're able to read the comics, the ending of the fic will make more sense/have a greater emotional impact. failing that, at least read the wiki's plot summations xD
anyway. have a good day, all! getting through work today will be a slog, but I'll have your comments to look forward to and sneakily read on my phone =D
