there's something slightly gender bender about venom giving themselves a 10 pack with eddie, then suddenly gaining boobs when with annie. although the reading i initially got from this was your typical ooh alien is non-binary, im sorta leaning to the idea that venom is just conforming to whatever eddie needs, but exaggerated. when eddie needs to get strong he gets stronger. when eddie needs to stop being scared he calls him a pussy. however when there's no eddie, he doesn't do the same thing with anne. i highly doubt any part of anne at this point, conscious or unconscious, actually wants massive breasts or to kiss eddie. so when he's without eddie, it could be said he's thinking about what he wants to do. he's codependent as fuck, but that also applies to his gender expression is what i'm getting at.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

Lae'zel's character and her entire situation at the beginning of the game becomes so much more funny when you find out she's 22. It makes so much sense. Imagine you're 22 and you're exposed to this dangerous toxin or chemical or something - but not to worry, you learnt that this can be easily fixed, you just need to dial 911 real quick. Common knowledge. Everyone knows that. You learnt that in kindergarten, it's up there with fire alarm drills.

But the people you're stuck with have no concept of modern medicine and when you say "let's go to the hospital" they will say shit like "i think they kill people at the hospital" and "we should ask this swamp lady" or "this guy over there told me about this homoeopathic healer kind of guy but he got abducted" or "this random bard wants to help" and "I'm not going to dial 911 because I don't want the government to know my home address" or "maybe we should consider a deal with Satan". And then a bunch of them KEEP consuming the chemical because it makes them "stronger". One guy might explode for unrelated reasons. You have a few days before this situation is getting critical and suddenly they're solving crime and doing general charity for the community.

And FOR SOME REASON you still try to help these idiots and you STILL want to help them get the cure even though they all keep insisting the "doctors" at the "hospital" might try to "kill them" and they don't have insurance. And you keep telling them to just. go. to. the. hospital. before the time runs out and you all die very horribly of a very treatable condition.

And also you're 22 in a foreign country and you're responsible for shepherding this gaggle of idiots who are all ranging anywhere from 24 to 240 years old.

I think what I find really disturbing about the trend 'I'm just a girl' is that this trend rest on a song that very much criticize this idea of 'just being a girl'.

Entire song is a critic about men's infantilizing and stealing women's bodily autonomy away from them in every single way; and they butchered the song to keep on only that "I'm just a girl".

Taking away all the irony of the sentence. And making it very much some "ahah i'm so silly and dreamy, all pretty and petite uwu"

They generally use the one from the bridge too, which is immediately followed up by "that's all that you'll ever let me be". When No Doubt, when Gwen Stefani write that, being just a girl isn't dreamy or soft, it's constraining.

Same goes for Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, which is also very used – this is a critic about how people want to lead girls lives for themselves. Like please don't fall into the trap of infantilizing and silly-fying yourself because that's literally how they want you to act. That's what they want you to be to place themselves as superior and pass off the idea that you cannot be independant and live without them.

these books unbanned cards (unless otherwise stated) get you access to each library's complete libby/cloud library collection, no hoopla/kanopy/physical copies included.

ebook collections are expensive to maintain (many american libraries have annual fees for non-residents because of this) but because of an uptick in book banning (particularly brutal in mississippi last summer) larger libraries have opened their doors more, which is very kind of them!

i've used my seattle card for the last several months and their libby collection has about three times the books that my local library does, which is wonderful for accessing more niche titles or skipping a waiting list. would love to hear of similar ebook initiatives internationally!

i use library extension (firefox/chrome/edge compatible) to check all my collections (+ the internet archive) at once, works for several different countries highly recommend it.

spotify seems to be offering 15hrs/month of audiobook listening to premium subscribers and while that does seem useful if you're already paying and are after a new release with a long library waitlist, libraries are better for everything else.

maybe they could even underline every username!

oh and they should also add vertical lines for every reblog, i think it would look cool

and if there's a ton of reblogged additions they should make the first few ones all squished and stuff to the point where every letter has it's own line and you're just reading words vertically
