"Brennpunkt Insektensterben". komme grad von einem sehr interessanten Vortrag mit dem Schmetterlingsforscher Dr. Andreas Segerer. Im Regensburger Naturkundemuseum Ostbayern gabs fast 2 Stunden lang anschauliche Infos über das vielfältige Insektensterben. Drei erstaunliche Tatsachen nehme ich mit: 1. Regensburg und Umgebung war und ist eines der bedeutensten Schmetterlingsforschungsgebiete Deutschlands. 2. Verantwortlich für das Insektensterben in Deutschland sind an erster Stelle die negativen Veränderung der Kulturlandschaft und die intensive Landwirtschaft. Dünger und Pestizide dringen überall hin, auch in Magerwiesen und in Naturschutzgebiete. 3. Insekten können nicht durch Einfangen ausgerottet werden. Einen Schmetterling einfangen würde zwar (irrsinnigerweise) als Ordnungswidrigkeit geahndet werden, aber Insekten sind Futtertiere für viele andere Tiere, und sie reproduzieren sich daher milliardenfach. Ausgerottet werden können sie nicht durch Wegfangen aus der Natur, oder durch gefressen werden, sondern durch die Zerstörung ihrer Biotope. Ein sinnloses Fangverbot, das manchen Biologieunterricht und manche Forschungsarbeit verhindern kann. 1.) How did you become the director?

I became the director of the project after the previous director was let go for reasons I will not disclose. It is not my place to say anything. Hope you all can understand.

2.) How has your journey as the director affected your life? The journey has been quite the rollercoaster since taking over last October, but after almost a year of work, I would say we are in a good spot. Certainly has made my life a lot more interesting.

3.) How did you motivate everyone helping the project to continue work?

I've been trying to make sure due dates are adhered to, but never forcing people out for missing them. People seem to enjoy the freedom of the project, but also understand there is a timeline for most things.

4.) What do you do to stay calm when production doesn't go as planned? I just think about all the progress that has been done in just a year and think about all the progress that was not happening before hand. Helps me stay calm knowing the project is in such good hands now.

5.) I would personally like to give a special shout out to my best friend from college! @cboffshore Without you I wouldn't have learned about this amazing project! You are an amazing friend and hope we can hang out again soon! KEEP ON SPINNING!

Estoy satisfecha con la persona en la que me he convertido en los últimos meses.
