Arizona State medallion This medallion was made for a Native American woman who chose to pursue a business degree. As she worked on her associates in business administration she was consistently told she could not and would not make it in the world of business. She was told to steer in another direction. It was not until she took her first accounting course that she found her passion for accountancy. That was the moment when she realized that she would pursue her path in an unknown and underrepresented program for Native Americans. Now on her way to push back the boundaries for Native Americans, women, and mothers. She will soon see herself as a CPA. I personally didn't see Native American's represented in my degree path but it never deterred me from pursuing my own passion/work.
