Martyn is enthusiastic about it, more than Joel expected. It actually gave Joel a lot more confidence in exploring this new side of fashion. Whereas, for Martyn, this is the best news he's heard in ages. He finally has a reason to use his sewing skills!
The pair spend a lot of time sitting together, designing dresses and choosing out fabric. And Joel is always happy to show Martyn the final result.

i said earlier in the wips about how i like the trope where stoic characters have the same facial expression for everything- I just think it's funny that for Ben his sole expression is ^_^
joel saying "great to have you back home" is referring to ben being on the east coast / in his element, i'm not conflating NL with the Maritimes I promise.
that said I think they know him well enough that they can tell when he's PISSED lol. I feel like Ben tends to mask his anger a lot (which is why I showed his anger in a reflection rather than on his face in part 6 above there.
but yeah the point of this page is kind of. "ben isnt an idiot and he was genuinely mad and everyone knew it". well. everyone except bertie obviously.

Sparrow Things!! (New Life SMP)

Finally posting something instead of just reblogging to talk about Sparrow, who is such a cool little fella!!! I stumbled across the New Life series via Owen so it’s unsurprising he’s my favorite character so far. I really missed watching Owen do lore, and I always enjoyed how much he always got into a character!!
Speaking of that, I’m like. 100% terrified and excited for Sparrow to meet Joel because that man is ALLERGIC to lore (/lh). Their interactions are probably going to be so fun to watch when they meet.
Scar and Sparrow would be such a fun pair to watch interact, considering they’re both pilots/aviators. They’d probably be a very endearing friendship, and I look forward to it so much!!!
I’m really interested to see what Owen does with Sparrow’s ‘locked(?)’ ability(s). I mean, we know that after each death in New Life, that player gets a new origin, and Sparrow is trying to evolve into a hybrid by talking to other hybrids. So, I wonder if Owen is able to choose a specific origin for lore purposes or if it’s totally random!! Sparrow gives a lot of, y’know, Elytrian/Avian vibes considering his name and flying, but I also don’t know the full list of origins. Also, I think it’d be funny if it was the opposite of a bird-like origin, like some kind of underground/cave-based origin.
I really hope Sparrow visits NL!Scott and NL!Gem again!! Their interactions were so cute and fun to watch and I absolutely love Sparrow’s cringefail loserboy swag energy when it comes to meeting the hybrids around.
Love you Sparrow 🫶 I hope your documentation goes well!!

Falken Motorsports win inaugural Nürburgring 12-hour race
The Nürburgring Endurance Series used a new, XXL distance format for the latest round of the NLS series. Featuring over 12 hours of racing at the world famous motorsport icon, although the racing action was divided into two parts. Saturday's six hours were characterised by the almost traditional continually changing weather conditions Sunday's racing was held in completely dry conditions round the "Green Hell".
The Falken Motorsports Team of Joel Eriksson, Sven Müller, Jaxon Evans and Alessio Picariello in the #3 Falken Porsche 911 GT3 R mastered the cllassic Nürburgring conditions and claimed a half-time victory by finishing Saturday as leaders. The quartet finished the first half of the race with a lead of just under a minute.
On a dry Nürburgring-Nordschleife on Sunday Falken's number 3 Porsche 911 GT3 R managed to maintain its lead overall and after 12 hours racing took top step on the podium having completed 79 laps or 1925 kilometres.
This victory added to Falken Motorsports win in the 6-hour NLS in July marked a very success year so far in endurance racing for the team.

lovely world: c!stampy, in the sense that yes, stampy pov is the only primary pov, but he is the closest character to being stuck in my head all series (sorry helpers and villains)
dsmp: c!quackity, but i am also fairly knowledgable about c!wilbur and formerly c!tommy (the finale sucked and you heard it from me)
empires s1: e1!seablings + e1!scott. i admit i am not up to date on my povs. i might watch another pov or more in the future when i get the time and motivation
empires s2: I WATCHED EVERY SINGLE POV at the start my dude. but i dropped out on joey after the crossover (due to time limitations) and i am not quite sure about the hermit side of things, so i think only know maybe half the story for e2!false and e2!gem
evo smp: i am only about halfway through grian pov rn but just you wait, i have so many povs to get through
3rd life: i did not watch 3rd life when it first came out but i have watched 3l!flower husbands and 3l!martyn, 3l!desert duo is still on the table
last life: i have only watched ll!lizzie and i am rusty… i swear i will keep watching when i have the time and motivation
