hot take: the water temple isn't actually that hard and y'all are a bunch of babies

#THIS IS A JOKE FOR OBVIOUS REASONS #do not get mad at me #but fr fr i did not get the hype #the water temple was like. middle difficulty i think #i DID get stuck twice but #first one i was standing in the wrong place so my zelda's lullaby wasn't registering (which is just a bug)#and second i was a bit dumb dumb and completely forgot abt one of the suspicious bombing spots so i had to backtrack #but overall? fire temple and forest temple were harder i think #oh and i'm playing the og n64 version via nintendo switch online if that matters #rambles #loz #oot

girl scout cookies are like a weapon of mass destruction when it comes to marketing. cheap delicious cookies sold by cute little girls in adorable matching uniforms that you'll feel like a monster for saying no to, has ties with dozens of charities, brand recognition off the charts, girl scout cookie season is such a widely anticipated for drop. they have vegan and gluten free options. they even have card readers on their phone now so you cant even say "oh sorry i dont have cash on me". its PEAK americana. can you imagine the damage they could do if their funding went to like weapons development or something.

So I was watching Scott the Woz rant about his collection of Arcade1Up cabinets and how they're expensive for the little that you get and all I could think of was, "I think I could make that, but better!" And all I started kinda figuring it out, but I don't have all the tools for it, but like, you can make your own Nintendo Switch powered arcade cabinet!

All the complicated tech bits are off the shelf components that require no wiring or soldering or any of that. You've got 8BitDo's arcade controller plugged into a Switch dock where the coin mechanisms would be and then all that goes to a mini flat screen. You can plug those into a power strip mounted inside the cabinet near the back, and then the entire arcade cabinet runs on just one cable plugged into a wall.

I don't have the budget for the hardware or the tools required to fabricate the cabinet itself, but like, if you have the time and the tools, I'm pretty sure this could be built in a week especially with something like a laser cutter or a CNC machine.

Someone please build this!

I hated the Switch so fucking much, I gave mine away so I didn't have to have it around, anymore.

That said, very excited for the people who intend to play that new pokemon, when it comes out.

I got colors live yesterday, and saw that on the box there was Steven universe fan ocs, and then also found out that in promotional imagery and video on the switch store, there is fanart of pearl and the pink pearl.

I’m so curious how that happened, if it was because of a supporter on kick starter (I think it was kick starter they used?) , if it was a competition, if someone on the dev team just really liked Steven universe , or if they just paid people to draw art and someone slipped in their Steven universe fan art lol.
