The TV, My mom and Grey´s Anatomy

Years ago when television was bigger than the internet (at least in Mexico) and I was in my earliest chilhood. My mother and I watched a lot of tv shows. One of our favorites at the time was Grey´s anatomy.  I have to admit that when I saw the series, I did not understand many things, I was not old enough to see it and definitely I was not the target audience but I loved it. 

I loved the drama and the strange medical cases but most of all I loved spending time with my mother.  I remember the last episode we saw together. It was the last we saw on TV, because the schedules changed so much (on the mexican TV) and finally it was impossible for us to catch up. It was that episode in which Owen (My actually most hated character) arrived and Cristina was stabbed with ice.  When the internet and obiously Netflix appeared, I resumed the series and invited my mother to see it whit me. She was not interested.  Maybe it was nostalgia but to this day it´s one of those programs that´s impossible for me to abandon, even when i tried.  Actually  watching the show angers me more than it makes me happy, but when I think about stopping seeing it (this time forever), I also think about the time I have invested.  In the characters that I still love, in which despite being new they have won my heart, as was De Luca (Before the power of the script and the need for have audience killed him) or Levi, who I feel like only deserves good things and in the company of Nico gave me my favorite couple (also destroyed by the script), in a while. I think about the things that I experienced and felt when I watch the series, and my desire to leave it disappear. Because if I have followed it 17 seasons, a few more will not make a difference. Of course, sometimes... I wish I had left the show just when my mother did. Maybe in that way I wouldn't get so mad watching a TV show.  Sorry if my syntax is bad, I am a Spanish speaker in the process of learning English.

La televisión, mi madre y Grey´s anatomy

Hace años cuando la televisión era el medio reinante y yo me encontraba en la más tierna infancia. Mi madre y yo veíamos aquellas series que transmitía la cadena de televisión mexicana TV azteca.  Mi madre nunca fue fan de las novelas pero era fan de las series (gusto que al final terminé adquiriendo), y una de nuestras favoritas en esos tiempos era la ya bastante longeva Grey´s anatomy.  Admito que cuando veía los capítulos, muchos de los temas tratados escapan de mi comprensión completa, lo cierto es que no tenía edad para ver la serie, no era el publico para el que estaba destinada. Pero la amaba, me gustaba el drama y los casos que parecían irreales y por supuesto amaba pasar tiempo con mi madre.  Recuerdo el último capítulo que vi en su compañía, fue el último que logramos captar en televisión, por que cambiaban tanto los horarios en los que pasaban la serie que finalmente le perdimos el rastro. Fue aquel en que llego Owen Hunt, mi actual personaje más odiado.  Lo recuerdo con extrema claridad por que Cristina, mi personaje favorito, resultaba herida; y a pesar de eso coqueteaba con el soldado recién llegado.  Cuando el internet y obvio netflix apareció, retome la serie e invite a mi madre a verla conmigo, ya no le interesaba nada. Pero yo por nostalgia la seguí viendo, hasta el día de hoy es de esos programas que no abandono.  Actualmente el sentarme a ver el show me trae más corajes que alegría, pero al pensar en dejarlo, también pienso en el tiempo que he invertido. En los personajes que aún aprecio, en aquellos que a pesar de ser nuevos se han ganado mi corazón, como lo era De Luca (hasta el más reciente capitulo) o Levi, quien siento que solo merece cosas buenas y que en compañía de Nico me regaló lo que era mi pareja favorita (misma que fue destruida por la incongruencia de los guionistas) .  Pienso en las cosas que vivido y sentido al ver la serie y mis deseos de abandonarla desaparecen. Por que si la he seguido 17 temporadas, unas cuantas más no harán diferencia. Aunque claro en ocasiones... me hubiese gustado bajarme del tren justo cuando mi madre lo hizo. Tal vez así no me enojaría tanto viendo un programa de televisión.
