hey, how'd you learn how to do your makeup? i'm kind of a novice over here
Hey!! So I learned via a lot of methods - tips from friends, videos, googling. It's hard for me to remember a lot of my sources over the years. That being said, I'm going to try to link the ones I know help the most.
The Pretty Fix - this channel hasn't updated in a while but has a lot of tutorials designed to be trans-inclusive and beginner friendly. It's a great resource for just starting out and for understanding a lot of basic techniques and things to keep in mind without it being overwhelming or throwing too many product types at you.
How to Apply Eyeshadow PERFECTLY (beginner friendly hacks) by AlexandrasGirlyTalk - This video is short and simple and yet probably the most effective one I've seen when it comes to breaking down eyeshadow. I still haven't fully 100% mastered doing eyeshadow, but I feel a lot more confident with it after watching this a few times.
Dude, eyeliner changes your whole face by Alexandra Anele - Another good technique and theory video that helps a lot when trying to figure out eyeliner, which IMO is the hardest part of trying to do eye make up and something I'm only starting to feel good with as of this year
NEW Updated 2021 E-Girl Makeup Tutorial! by hannah owo - This one might seem silly at first glance because, y'know, E-girl, but honestly this is one of the most helpful makeup tutorials I've found and has drastically affected how I've done my makeup. What makes this one so good and helpful IMO is that unlike a lot of other makeup tutorials you can find, this one uses a lot of drugstore and bargain brands (at one point it recommends using a Crayola marker to create freckles) and shows the ways one can make a super elaborate look using a surprisingly small amount of products.
FACE BASICS: Hide Facial Hair (using Makeup!) Part 2: Makeup by David K Davey - I don't really do a lot of this anymore (I used to go way overboard on covering that area early in transition lol) but for those worried about beard shadow or discoloration in that area, this helps teach how to be cover that up and the colour theory behind it. Mastering this can be a godsend.
Those are the main links I can think of right now! For someone still getting in, my best advice is to get the basic tools you'll need - primer, concealer, foundation, eyeliner, mascara, blush - as well as a sponge or brush kit and play around with them, using tutorials and googling every time you think you come into an issue. Then you can start looking at more advanced things like contours and eye shadows, and the good thing about eye shadows is that most palettes have a bunch of videos online of people doing various looks and tutorials with them, meaning if you find yourself stuck, you're almost always guaranteed to find something you can use as a reference.
Makeup is hard and I still don't feel like I have a perfect understanding of it, but it can be quite fun once you find a set up you like and start getting comfortable enough to experiment with new looks and products! I hope this could help at all and I wish you the best of luck going forward!

Neon Makeup Looks: How to Recreate This Trend as seen on ‘Bridgerton’ Star Nicola Coughlan

Nicola Coughlan surprised fans with her “Bridgerton” inspired outfit at the Golden Globes 2021.
The Irish actress, whose claim to fame is her role as Penelope Featherington in the hit Netflix period drama series, appeared on a virtual red carpet donning a gorgeous pastel-yellow tulle gown by British designer Molly Goddard.
Goddard’s “Savannah” dress debuted in her spring/summer 2021 collection, featuring an empire-cut waistline that resembles Coughlan’s outfits in Bridgerton.
She then paired it with a black cropped cardigan by Ply-Knits while capping off the look with De Beers’ diamond jewelry.
Aside from her stunning ball gown, the 34-year-old actress opted for a trendier makeup courtesy of celebrity makeup artist Neil Young.

How to Achieve Nicola Coughlan’s Golden Globe Makeup
Over his Instagram, Young shared the products used for the actress’ modern neon makeup.
As we all know, the ’80s aesthetic is coming back in a full circle alongside the neon eye makeup trend.
Kryolan Aquacolor Liquid UV Color

The celebrity makeup artist, whose famous clients include Sharon Osbourne and supermodel Meghan Roche, revealed that he used Kryolan’s Aquacolor Liquid UV Color that only retails for $12 (£8.90).
“To create Nicola’s eye look, I started with Kryolan Aqua Colour paint in UV Pink (£8.90) as a base all over the lid from lash line to the crease of the eye, blending away any hard edges towards the brow bone. This is to give the eyeshadow more kick and intensity,” he mentioned as obtained by Glamor UK.
To make the eyeshadow last longer, he advised using an eye shadow primer or concealer to prep the lids.
MAC Neon Pink Pigment
Tumblr media

Young topped it off with MAC Neon Pink Pigment to intensify the bold neon shade to create a dimension.
“I love MAC Neon Pink Pigment (£17.50) as it builds opacity quickly, but any bright pink shadow will create the same effect.”
In addition to this, the celebrity makeup artist recommends applying the product to the upper lids to make it look modern and instead of the ’80s neon makeup.
Givenchy Beauty Volume Disturbia Mascara
Tumblr media
(Photo : Sephora.com)
After mixing the eyeshadow, he followed it with several coats of Volume Disturbia Mascara from Givenchy Beauty to create a dramatic look.
It has a smooth-gliding texture and buildable, clump-free formula that can last up to 24-hours. He applied it along the lash line to redefine the lashes.
Givenchy Beauty Le Rose Perfecto Liquid Balm in 001 Perfect Pink

As for her lips, he made sure that Nicola Coughlan’s makeup look is balanced; hence he chose a subtle lipstick shade.
Young opted for Givenchy Beauty’s Le Rose Perfecto Liquid Balm in 001 Perfect Pink with a slight hint of pink shade with a high-shine finish.
Cle De Peau Beaute Fluid Foundation
Tumblr media
(Photo : Cle De Peau Beaute website)
The makeup artist preferred Cle De Peau Beaute’s Fluid Foundation to create a flawless canvass for the base.
It is formulated with an illuminating complex that promotes radiance and glowy skin.
Becca Cosmetics’ Skin Love Glow Glaze Stick

Speaking of glowy, he also added Becca Cosmetics’ Skin Love Glow Glaze Stick to highlight the features of her face.

Read the article now: Fall For Foundations This Season
Fall, also known as autumn in Europe, brings an array of exciting new products to revitalise your life. We all know the importance and cruciality of bracing yourself in the finest way possible for the season ahead.
Whether it comes down to new additions to your wardrobe or better makeup options, there will definitely be a shift in your regimen. As we make our way through fall, our choice of foundation lays the basis of our makeup routine. I want to take you through the best foundations that are the talk of the town right now.
Maybelline
First up is the Maybelline New York Dream Radiant Liquid Hydrating Foundation. The aforesaid has been in the spotlight for quite a while now and continues to be the top priority of all cosmetic lovers. The lightweight density of the foundation renders a 12-hour hydrating coverage.
MAC
Next, we take on the fall season with MAC. The Mac Studio Fix Fluid is known for its luscious effect and skin-friendly matte look. Along with blending well with other applications, it circumcises the skin with SPF15 protection and has medium to full coverage. It is an apt choice to make for those of you who are worried about excessive oil and flaky skin.
Essence
Essence, Pretty Natural Hydrating Foundation, is next on our list and is recommended by many beauty lovers! It gives a photo-friendly look and moisturising effect, perfect for dull skin.
This inherent effortlessness is born of the composition of glycerin and sodium hyaluronate. It plumps your skin and gives it a natural and healthy glow.
L'Oréal
L’oreal True Match Foundation is another dermatologist-approved liquid foundation that can be used as a moisturiser or a cream. Consisting of Pro-vitamin B5 and vitamin E, it promises flawless coverage. It nourishes your skin with a breathable, blendable crust without making it look cakey. A girl’s favourite dream.
Revlon
Revlon Colorstay Makeup is a well-claimed highlight in the drugstore makeup world. It’s cost-effective, it grants a stay-true colour and is available in a wide range of shades. Its non-streaky touch to one’s skin is ideal for combination and oily skin.
Along with being a feather-light fluid, it stays put for long hours and can be used as a concealer for pores.
Rimmel London
We cannot talk about foundations and not discuss Rimmel London’s Stay Matte Pressed Powder. It is a unique powder in shades that delivers a soft, dewy look to your face. One of the rare powder mixes that do not give off a cakey appearance but blend smoothly.
Black Radiance
Last but not least, the Black Radiance Colour Perfect Foundation Stick is the best choice for dark complexions and skin tones. This caters to issues like dry and flaky skin, dark spots and pores and also provides a velvety charm.
Foundations are responsible for being the backbone of the cosmetic universe, and they play an integral role in making a mark. We all have our favourites but don’t forget that the weather gets colder in the fall. You need foundations that contain a level of moisturiser, so don’t be afraid to give our list a go.

Selena Gomez and Alexa Demie: The Power of Celebrity Endorsements in Makeup Advertising
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly changed the advertising industry, including makeup ads. According to a report from McKinsey & Company, the COVID-19 crisis has dramatically impacted the global beauty industry, which includes skin care, color cosmetics, hair care, fragrances, and personal care. The report indicates a decline in industry revenue of 20 to 30 percent in 2020.
The report goes on to explain that although brick-and-mortar drugstores and mass-market and grocery stores were able to remain open in the early stages of the pandemic, their customer traffic and revenues declined significantly.
Peter B. Lee, CEO and co-founder of Orora Skin Science, Inc., expressed that the sudden loss of offline sales was unavoidable despite increased online traffic. Even the most optimistic individuals could predict the industry's downturn (Vogel, 2021).
People started working from home and avoiding social gatherings, so the demand for makeup products decreased. Makeup companies had to change their marketing strategies to cater to the changing needs of their customers.
Celebrity endorsements have been a prevalent aspect of makeup advertising for a considerable period. Despite the pandemic, some celebrities continue to endorse makeup products, while others have shifted their focus to other areas.
Rare Beauty, Selena Gomez's makeup brand, has caused a stir in the market by promoting individualism and confidence in one's own skin. The brand targets makeup enthusiasts and beauty gurus, emphasizing uniqueness, authenticity, and rarity.
The brand benefits from celebrity endorsement because Selena Gomez, an American singer known for her hit songs, is the founder and CEO. Selena is also an advocate for mental health. She announced that a percentage of every sale would be donated to the Rare Impact Fund, a charitable organization that focuses on expanding mental health services within educational institutions. Through its sales, the Rare Beauty website also notes that the brand supports various philanthropic foundations, individuals, corporate partners, and the Rare Beauty community.
As noted by Sakellariou (2022), Selena has been vocal in her support for mental health over the years, frequently sharing her personal experiences. Therefore, it is appropriate that her beauty brand is partnering with a charity that shares her commitment to promoting mental well-being.
MAC Cosmetics has partnered with actress Alexa Demie to release a line of eye makeup called "More Than Meets the Eye," which features a new product formulation (Pitcher, 2020). The ad campaign targets makeup aficionados, encouraging them to step out of their comfort zones and experiment with bold and fun eye looks.
The ad benefits from celebrity endorsement because it prominently features Alexa Demie, who gained fame for her role as Maddy Perez in the TV series Euphoria. Maddy's style is glamorous, bold, sultry, and unique, and the ad campaign successfully captures her style while showcasing Alexa's individualism. The product line emphasizes Alexa's distinctive eye makeup and includes a range of eyeshadows and brow gels.
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about new challenges for the advertising industry, particularly in the makeup sector. Media manipulation has been used to promote products, especially celebrity endorsements. It is crucial for makeup companies to be responsible in their advertising during these uncertain times in order to build trust with their consumers and contribute to a more positive industry overall.

Happy New Year ❤️
Hi guys!!
I’m not gonna lie to anyone 2020 was probably the most anxious year of my life like I’m sure many can agree. It kinda felt like everything just went from zero to hundred real quick. I also couldn’t of imagined that the end of the year I would be a tier 4 lockdown getting ready to work from home for the first time.
While last year was utter madness I wanna take a moment to appreciate the good moments the year gave me. I mean the biggest one that comes to mind is now over 60,000 people follow this blog!!! That is actually insane to the point where I can’t begin to wrap my head around it. I think the best thing to come out of 2020 is the confidence blogging has given me. I mean I now post makeup videos and that was something I was so terrified to do and now I do it all the time for fun, I write blog posts people actually read and comment to! So much of this year has been unsure but one thing for certain is I’m so grateful for the confidence blogging has given me.
This blog has been the perfect distraction for me when I needed something to keep me busy and I have enjoyed it so much. So this year I want to keep it going and I’ll continue to do daily blog posts about makeup and anything else I think of in between. But one thing I’m not doing this year is making a resolution because honestly who needs that kinda pressure in their life at a time like this. As long as I’m happy this time next year then I’ll know I did 2021 right.
I truly hope this year gives you everything you want and more.
Lots of love

🌱 Summer 2021 🌱
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
NB: These are products that I have used on my skin. Products results may vary based off your skin type.
Tumblr media
Cleansers
There are two methods of cleansing. You have the normal method of either using one type of cleanser or the method of using (2) two different type of cleansers one in the morning and one in the night for cleansing. This is similar to the double cleansing method which is the method of using two different type of cleansers, oil + a normal liquid based to cleanse your skin. This method is normally recommended if you’re someone who wears HEAVY makeup or wears makeup every day. I do not wear makeup consistently therefore the method that I use is the method of using (2) two different type of cleansers one for the morning and one for the night. I have dry to combination skin therefore I make sure to include hydrating cleansers within my routine.
Cerave hydrating cleanser is one of my favorite drugstore cleansers that gets the job done. It’s very gentle on my skin and after cleansing I feel extremely hydrated. The Cerave Renewing SA cleanser is also extremely good for those who suffer with dry skin as it is an exfoliant cleanser that gentles exfoliate without stripping the skin. Instead it helps with evening out the texture of your skin and deals with acne. However bare in mind this is an exfoliant type of cleanser, results from using this type of cleanser may vary based on your skin type. It is also very easy to over-exfoliate the skin if you’re using this as your only cleanser for morning and night routines. I would recommend combining this with another cleanser, probably the hydrating cleanser if you have dry skin like me. The Ordinary Squalane cleanser is a good combination based off MY experience to pair with this cleanser.
Paula’s Choice Optimal results, as I’ve mentioned a few times my routine consists of at least (1) one hydrating cleanser due to the fact that I have dry skin especially with it coming onto summertime my skin can get extremely dry rather than oily. This cleanser is still fairly new in my list however it does leave my skin feeling hydrated which is my main goal when selecting a hydrating cleanser. Skin-fix barrier oil foaming cleanser, as I’ve mentioned when doing the double cleanse method it’s important to have an oil cleanser. This is actually a cleanser I saw a few of my mutuals on other social media using and decided to give a try to see what it was about. I was extremely pleased. It’s great for dry and sensitive skin types and just like the Cerave Renewing SA cleanser it is an exfoliant cleanser. Therefore I follow the same method as I mentioned underneath the Cerave Renewing SA cleanser. Compared to the price of the other two products these two are a bit more on pricey side? but I like them a lot. I cleanse for 60 seconds using my hands. Make sure that you wash your hands before starting your skin care routine.
Tumblr media
Toners
Paula’s Choice Advanced replenishing Toner, this toner pairs amazing with the Paula’s Choice Optimal Cleanser. This is a hydrating cleanser & perfect for dry and sensitive skin types.
Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner, this is a great toner for combination skin. I have hyperpigmentation therefore I find this toner perfect for dealing with my dark spots. I used to use The Ordinary Niacinamide to help with dark spots however I didn’t like it and I found it easier using a toner that had it combined.
Paula’s Choice Advanced Toner is a hydrating Toner therefore I ensure that I apply it directly to my face after cleansing. It’s best to apply your toner to damp, or wet skin. I use either my hands or a cotton pad to apply it directly to my face. Everyone’s routine should include a hydrating toner especially if you’re layering your face with different exfoliants and serums which can end up damaging your skin barrier and causing it to feel extremely dry. A lot of these hydrating toners & cleansers contain hyaluronic acid which is key for hydration. I also tone twice within my routine which will be explained.
Mask
Tumblr media
This step of the routine is not completely necessary depending on the type of mask you’re using in my own opinion. Hydrating and Sulfur mask are the only types I would recommend because they actually do something for the skin compared to others.
Youth to the People Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask, this is a hydrating mask that I love and recommend. It not only smells amazing but it’s nourishes the skin seeing that it’s a hydrating mask.
Peter Thomas Roth Sulfur mask, is IT. Anytime you’re suffering from a break out this is the mask that will gather it all back together it’s also good for anyone who suffers from ingrown hairs seeing that it has antibacterial properties which assist the area if you’re shaving it.
Normally, I leave my mask on for 10-15 minutes afterwards I wash it off and tone again with my hydrating toner. Therefore in my routine I tone twice, before the mask & afterwards. I use the Good Molecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner as the first toner and afterwards I used the Paula’s Choice Advanced Replenishing Toner which provides hydration to seal in moisture into my skin after using my mask. There is also the option of using the hydrating toner twice, again it’s up to how you want to set up the usage of your products. I also follow this method as well but I like the other too.
Serum
Tumblr media
Topicals Faded serum, this is extremely good for anyone who suffers with hyperpigmentation. This is normally applied before the moisturizer and I normally use a finger tip sized amount or use a Q-tip to apply it to the area as a spot treatment. I do NOT layer it on as a mask. It’s used as a spot treatment so you’ll apply it to the areas of your hyperpigmentation/ dark spots.
Glow Recipe Plum Plum, hydration and moisture are keys in my routine. I’ve rotated through a lot of different hydrating serums and this is the one that has been working well with my skin so far. It contains hyaluronic acid and not only hydrates the outer layer of the skin but improves the texture and appearance.
Moisturizer
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Belif moisturizer, this one is amazing. I listed two options because normally one can be used for summer time and one when it’s closer to winter. The true cream Aqua bomb is the one that I would recommend for the Winter or if you have extremely dry skin. It can be used for the summer however I realized that because it’s so hydrating it can cause your skin to get a bit oily in this hot weather. This is where the True cream version comes in. It gives a similar level of moisture without being over-excessive. Both are amazing and 10/10 for moisture in my opinion.
The Ordinary Natural Moisturizer Factors + HA, this is another of my favorites and compared to the previous moisturizer is cheaper. In my opinion The Ordinary products are either a hit or miss in some cases when it comes to the skin, the cheap price is alluring but often times they don’t get the job done. However I found this moisturizer to be worth it, it’s extremely hydrating, has an amazing smell and leaves my skin feeling extremely soft. It’s one of my favorite from their line product.
The last step of skincare is sunscreen. I did not include any sunscreen in this post because the sunscreen I had been previously using was not it for me so I’m in the process of finding one without cast and can get the job done. I’ve also skipped the exfoliant process because I use a lot of cleansers and toners with exfoliants and my main aim at the moment is to hydrate. I’m still in the process of figuring out the exfoliation stage and that is why I decided to skip that section completely until I’ve figure it out.
Note briefly again, these are methods, products I’ve used on my skin and what works for me might not work for the other person. Before buying skin care determine your skin type and then research on what’s best for your type of skin I have dry skin so a lot of the products mentioned are heavily rooted in hydration. If you liked this post and would like me to post more blog post like this let me know.

FLPM’S 2021 Facial Skincare Routine
It’s been a moment since I made a personal beauty post! I just finished doing my nighttime skincare routine and I am enjoying how cleansed, moisturized, and rejuvenated my face feels. I thought to myself how much some of you would appreciate to know my personal skincare for my face and maybe even need some recommendations. Take note, I have dry sensitive skin which can get even drier during the colder months.
I always apply my skincare products in this following order: cleanser, toner, serums, and moisturizer. You do not have to use the most expensive products to get great results, I achieved and maintained flawless glowing skin with both drugstore and luxury skincare products. It’s all about testing out products, doing your research, and figuring out with products and methods work great for your needs. Personally, I mix both low and high end products and my skin loves it. Here are the list of products I am currently using:
Cleanser: Kojic Acid Soap
Yes I know, why would I use kojic acid soap, a soap that is known to be very drying, on my already dry skin. Well here are my reasons. It all started last year when I was researching products to get rid of my hyper-pigmentation on my elbows, knuckles, knees, and chest. I had a really bad eczema outbreak that left my chest area much darker then the rest of my body. I was looking on Youtube and I came across a video of a black woman trying kojic soap and it worked amazingly on her hyper-pigmentation. I watched a few more videos of other people of different skin colors and ethnicities try kojic soap and I decided to take a risk and buy it. Mind you, you have to make sure you buy authentic kojic soap (yes people do sell fakes 😒). I buy mine on this website. This soap does not lighten your skin despite what some people believe, it simply brightens your natural skin tone and gets rid of dark spots and hyper-pigmentation. Needless to say, the soap has helped with not only the aftermath of my eczema outbreak, but the other dark spots I had on my body. This soap is very drying, which is why when I use it on my body, I follow with turmeric oil. With my face I immediately follow with my next products.
Toner: Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner
I love Mario Badescu, even though I only used the toner and facial spray interchangeably. I discovered the brand about 3 years ago and I have been in love since. It always moisturizes my skin and gives me a nice glow. I even occasionally use the facial spray as a setting spray for makeup application. I spray the facial spray or toner (depends on my mood) immediately on my face after cleansing. I spray 3 or 4 times on my face and neck (do not neglect the neck).
Serums: Vitamin C Serum + Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Sérum
I apply the vitamin C serum first. I use the dropper to squeeze 2-3 into my palm of my hand, rub it together to warm it up, then I apply it onto my face and neck. I learned the hand rub trick from a Korean beauty youtuber, her skin is so glowing and flawless and her explanation of the technique made sense so I do it too. To me it feels like the serum is penetrated into my skin better and the warmness feels great on my skin. I buy my vitamin C serum from Etsy, Amazon, or my local organic stores and markets. Just read the ingredient list and make sure it’s natural.
Now I stop right here and I do a new step before I apply my second serum. I use a jade roller to penetrate the products, massage my skin, and promote blood circulation to my face and neck. You can purchase a jade roller from anywhere at any price point, just make sure it is the real stone. I actually use my jade roller both at night and day, it helps with blood circulation and depuffing my under eyes and face. I do this for about 2 minutes before I continue with my next serum.
My Chanel serum is the most expensive skin product I have, yet it is very worth it. Splurge on this if you can! I only apply this serum at night, but you can use it for day and night. I use 2 pumps to massage it all over my face and neck until it’s fully absorbed. I swear when I use this serum it feels like I just got a filler or a mini facelift. It’s like I just put the foundation of youth on my skin and it’s a huge plus that it leaves my skin soft and moisturized all night. I consider this as my moisturizer at night, but in the daytime I use a different product.
Moisturizer: Eucerin Daily Protection Face Lotion
I swear by this lotion that doubles as a sunscreen, especially for people with darker complexions. This is one of the very few sunscreens I used that does not cause the ashy white cast look on my skin and it blends perfectly. I apply sunscreen every single day, I have been doing this since I was 17. It lasts all day and it is waterproof, I hate having to reapply sunscreen throughout the day especially when I plan to wear makeup. I don’t use sunscreen at night of course so I apply it during the day.

Read the article now: Primers You May Want to Keep on Your Watchlist
If one thing is considered underrated in cosmetics, it is primers. Why people believe primers are, a mere layer beneath the foundation is beyond me. On the contrary, its functions are many-fold.
Along with being the first step in some makeup routines, they create a barrier between your skin and foundation. This is most helpful with the prevention of rashes and acne. Primers highlight any product applied on top and are also beneficial in maintaining all applications in place.
A good quality primer certainly goes a long way. Whether it is about smoothing out wrinkles or helping to oil-control, they last all day and ensure crack-free looks. Primers are an absolute prerequisite to any good makeup routine. They work wonders for your dark circles and acne and are a substitute for the foundation during your down-to-earth days. This article will be a helping hand for the next time you decide to hit the market.
Top Primers
The prime choice among all primers for me is the Hydro Grip Primer by milk makeup. A vegan and skin-friendly mixture, it lacks any chemicals and supports one’s natural cell renewal. Additionally, it is an amalgamation of hemp-derived cannabis seed, blue agave, and aloe.
Tarte brings the Poreless mattifying primer, which promises the perfect antidote to irritable and erratic skin. Constituting a synthesis of avocado and hydrating safflower seed keeps your skin fresh for longer durations.
Budget-friendly Mentions
Next, I will proceed to another primer recommended by dermatologists; the Blemish Rescue Anti-redness Mattifying Primer by bareMinerals. As the name suggests, its main property is a mattifying effect that is thin in density. Its anti-redness functions find their origin in phytosphingosine. Phytosphingosine is highly sought-after for its incredible epidermal impact. BareMinerals is among the most affordable and user-friendly brands. It is a worthy addition to your makeup kit.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills lip primer is a unique product and a beauty favourite. Unlike its competitors, It helps retain lip moisture and ensures total avoidance of cracks and cuts.
This lip primer is excellent when applying lip tints and lipsticks regularly. While we are headed in this direction, let’s discuss nail primers too.
The Deborah Lippman two-second nail primer is an incredible product. However, a quiet product on the market is preferable due to its strengthening features. The two-second primer nourishes the nails and appears to be a secure base for nail paint. It is a decent investment and will prove to be pragmatic in the future too.
The Glass Skin Primer by Makeup Revolution is a drugstore product, but the finest at that. It maintains the dewy glow and plumps it up too! Don’t forget to grab one of these babies at low prices on your next makeup haul!

Favourite Foundations 2021
Hey everyone,
Welcome back to my 2021 Favourites series. If you didn't know from the 26th I have been doing daily countdowns of my favourite products from 2021. Today we will be chatting about my Favourite Foundations from 2021. This year I have tried a lot of new Foundation products because last year all I used was matte formulas and this year I can appreciate more a glow. So sit back and enjoy my 2021 Foundation countdown.
1. Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation 1 Neutral , £34.00. This foundation is my yearly favourites countdown for maybe 2 years now. This is my favourite high end full coverage foundation because it gives your skin a beautiful demi-matte, full coverage finish without being heavy on the skin. It feels amazing on the skin and and makes my skin look like I have a airbrushed insta filter on. Highly recommend.
2. Morphe Filter Effect Soft-Focus Foundation, Flighter Light 6, £18.00. Next up we have a few favourite I wanted to add in last minute because this foundation is a gorgeous medium coverage with again a demi matte finish. Unlike the Tilbury foundation if you like a demi-matte finish but don't want full coverage then this is great option for you. It's also sweat resistant and waterproof so if you want a slightly more affordable option then this is a great option!
3. Maybelline Superstay Long-Lasting Foundation 05 Light Beige, £10.99. This foundation is my drugstore holy grail!! It is by far the best full coverage drugstore foundation I have probably ever gotten. This foundation is the definition of long lasting, crazy pigmented and I tested this foundation in any situation my makeup would normally fade and every time it's a winner. While I love my high end foundations I always like to try out drugstore ones so I have an affordable option. This foundation is the definition of full coverage matte foundation. If you love a full coverage foundation like myself and want an affordable option then head to your nearest Maybelline counter ASAP!
4. Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation SPF 10, 1W1 Bone , £35.00. This foundation is a real game changer for me this year. This foundation is a medium to full coverage glowy finish formula and I'm honestly how surprised how much I like it. I have oily skin so glow finish foundations were never my thing but this one gave my skin a night subtle glow even when I powder. This foundation is long lasting on the skin and looks amazing almost natural considering it's a medium to full coverage formula. Highly recommend if you want something more glowy.
5. Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint , Shade 2 , £25.00. Lastly we have the biggest game changer out of all my picks. This blurring skintint is a sheer/light finish so it is by far the most natural out of all choices. This skintint gives your skin a beautiful natural radiant finish and I love using this on days when I don't really want to wear makeup. This light as air formula blurs my skin giving it the perfect smooth filter finish. For anyone who isn't a massive makeup fan or just prefers a no makeup makeup look this product is worth checking out.
Hope you enjoyed today's 2021 favourites countdown and I'll see you tomorrow!
Lots of love
