tart: reeq's strength of will. despite everything, he knows his duty and sees it done at all costs. he never gives up on what he wants to do even when everyone else gives up on him. tart finds this side of him admirable

reeq: tart's considerateness. she gives everyone the time of day, even while being the hero who must save the world. she cares a lot about so many people; she helps everyone however she can; she gives those who wrong her a second chance, always; she pays attention and sees you for who you truly are. there are many, many more things to admire about tart; reeq chooses the one she doesn't see

tart: she keeps a drawing of reeq in her journal (drawn by alphinaud) and looks at it every night :)

reeq: the sun, the moon, and every star on the night sky!!! tfw your gf restored the day/night cycle of the world so every sunrise and sunset remind you of her :'3 (the other hunters find him so insufferable, yes)

7. what is something they'd want to change about the other if they could?

tart: reeq doesn't give up on anything... except his relationships to others. he's quick to assume that one mistake burns the entire bridge at once and ends up severing friendships that could've been mended. tart wishes he'd see more value in himself and not think everyone wants to discard him when they see fit...

reeq: tart's considerateness very rarely extends to herself. she gives up far too much far too willingly and has no limits. having "selfish motives" does not matter if the thing it motivates you to do is sacrificing your life for the sake of the world!! it's still extremely selfless and insane and you shouldn't have done it!!! also you need to eat more, make time for meals before helping people!!!!!

tart: oh yeah she thinks of ms olvara and the virtue hunters as family. she's so fond of them and comes to visit everyone often. actually when reeq moved to the crystarium to join the hunters tart scolded him for leaving ms olvara alone but it was actually for the best bc reeq isn't good at keeping up w chores and is just adding to her housework... she loves him but just move out already son....

reeq: he finds the scions kinda.. intimidating... he doesn't wanna butt into tart's relationships and is content watching from afar

tart: uhh not really;;;; the scions overall don't rly know reeq and don't care to, lol. alphinaud is the only one who's gotten to know reeq and likes him. as for family... well they can't meet bc of the "living in different worlds" situation. but if they do... man i should ramble abt this in another post but the gist of it is that hubert adores reeq and would adopt him as a son. why? because this is the funniest outcome possible and i write lore based on comedy first and foremost

tart: yes, she had 3 partners before reeq. and is still casually seeing one of them (kurenai) after getting together w him

reeq: no, he's gone on dates and had sex w others but no one that can be called a romantic partner. before tart his relationships were pretty much all transactional (what about lanbyrd? well. i always call him reeq's ex but honestly i'm undecided. maybe his feelings were unrequited by reeq, and though lanbyrd thought of him as a romantic partner it didn't go both ways)

i just finished 5x04 and 5x05, yesterday, currently on 5x06, and if i'm being honest? the infamous Punch™️ incident rly surprised me because of how well done and complex it was. based on fandom reactions to that scene, i rly expected something more flimsy or done just for the sake of drama, but instead i found myself empathizing with both chimney and buck in that scene. kenneth choi's portrayal of chimney's slow spiral of despair was fantastic, and it seemed so believable that he would snap like that. i couldn't fault him at all, and i'm so glad that i got to watch that episode and draw my own conclusion about that storyline, just like you said.

i think you're right, and going forward i'm going to ignore most of what the fandom says (and what showrunners/actors say) bc the canon text of the show is so great and deserves so much more credit than people are willing to give it. i'm liking 5A a lot so far and i don't want to let outside opinions ruin something that i like so much.

as for the buddie of it all, i'd never want to reduce the show to just the two of them! i rly like all of the characters and relationships on 911 aside from eddieana and BT, especially bobby, athena, and bathena, and last time i only asked because i wanted to know if there was a shot at the relationship going canon given the increasingly non-platonic nature of their scenes. i didn't mean to imply that they were the only reason someone would want to watch the show, sorry if it came across that way 😅 i love the show for all that it is, and even if buddie never went canon i still would have that same love for it. i was just rly confused because it seemed like it was written as the type of relationship that was headed toward being canon.

hi! you're completely right about 5x04, the punch scene™ was very well done, but is unfortunately constantly blown out of proportion by Certain people who already hated chim and just took this as an excuse to turn him into this evil abuser—which he is definitely not. but their dynamic that entire episode was very good, and you could definitely see both sides, and there's plenty of nuance there that people simply refuse to see

i'm rly glad you're enjoying 5A! there's so much unnecessary hatred towards it, but it's actually a lot better than people give it credit for, especially with the added perspective of how 5B goes down. it also contains brawl in cell block 911 and defend in place which are frankly two of the best episodes on the show which get slept on a lot because ppl make hating 5A their entire personality 🤷🏽‍♀️ but i will always defend it till the day i die lol

it's nice to know that you like the rest of the characters! tbh, it's easier to see the importance and beauty of buck and eddie's relationship only when viewed in the bigger picture of the entire show and all it's dynamics, y'know? so i'm always of the opinion that people focusing entirely on them are completely missing out.

1. idk! my idea of being "into a fandom" is very loose. i still like descendants, i could get back into writing for it/drawing for it/finally making that video essay on jay's story arc for it at any time. ok an impulsive person. i can't stop thinking about the television show gotham (2014-2019) rn though so that's where im at. but i still reread my own fic often. just read it the other day actually.

2. ha! i actually never read the book w lonnie's brother li shang (rip his unfortunate name i can't take it seriously so i won't speak it). so ill be honest i completely made him up for so sweet, just based on the vibes i got from the vague description of that book. i only really accept the first isle book as canon supplemental materials for me, besides everyone's superfluous cousins, i just can't with that. who is cruella's evil sibling on the isle that had a kid? let's be real. but anyway i decided to add shang in as jay's minor love interest bc i wanted jay to have an experience w someone from aurais. who was really genuinely good, and i think i just pictured lonnie's older brother as someone who takes things really seriously, in contrast to her, which i wanted to reflect in how they spoke of each other, where with this dynamic where shang feels a responsibility to take pressure off of lonnie by living up to picturesque auradon ideals so that lonnie can just be herself, but lonnie sees this and feels somewhat guilty and wishes he wouldn't. if i ever got around to writing my jane/lonnie spin-off i would explore this dynamic. anyway. i know from ur blog that u like lil shang so im assuming this is what u were asking LOL

edit: that is to say i don't have a favorite character from the books bc i only read one and i can't rly remember anything notable ab any of them. harriet, i suppose! i think she just slays, i like the idea of harry and cj having a really reasonable and smart older sister while they're like really reckless and wild. i also haven't seen wicked world, so cj is also just an idea in my mind 😇

honestly i have had some really bad luck with friendships and i have often wondered if the problem is me or if i just let people take advantage of me and walk all over me too easily. have i really attracted that many shitty people who were willing to hurt me or am i actually toxic and deserved it? i don’t believe that i am. i’ve definitely made mistakes, but i’ve always tried to be careful about people’s feelings and i don’t think i’ve received much of the same respect in the last few years. the pandemic really showed people’s true colors, that’s for sure. communication is such a fickle thing sometimes and one small misunderstanding in someone’s intentions or tone can really blow up in your face. i know that better than anyone. as for jokes that don’t land, i think it’s important that someone knows where to draw the line with their words and if they know you’re sensitive about something that they do their best not to cross it. that’s happened to me as well. when it starts feeling like bullying instead of just lighthearted jabs at your expense, that’s when a potentially uncomfortable conversation needs to be had. have a backbone! stand up for yourself! it’s not a weakness.

i get what you mean about gifts, i sometimes put so much pressure on myself to come up with something good but at the end of the day i know the thought counts more than anything and if someone doesn’t appreciate what you gift them then that’s something they should probably reflect on within themselves. i’m grateful for every little thing i’ve been gifted no matter how big, small, expensive, or cheap.

1) When I saw a manga panel of them and an artist’s drawing of Gojo touching Uta’s scar. I still remember it vividly until today, and now look where I am. :) 

2.) According to Gege, no. But according to me, he knows but does not awknowledged it. Gojo afterall grew up for himself as the strongest, so it might be hard for him to empathize in some stuff like Yuji does. 3.) I imagine she can summon contracted shaman spirits when she preforms miko ceremonies with her singing. There’s a lot of theory in this, but I would like to think she’s good in sealing techniques. She uses performs ceremonies to trap curses and finish them off with her voice. It’s a mixture of Toge’s CT and shaman ceremonies for exorcism.  4.) The ones who drinks tries to get themselve drunk because of Gojo. Gojo would probably do that with a parfait in hand. Lucky paintbrush.  5.) He’s in love and tries to keep that goofy smile of his but fails. 6.) Utahime would probably pretend that she doesn’t know him. She’s mature, so maybe she’ll not judge him, its his life. But it doesn’t stop fanfictions of her getting slightly hurt and jealous, heheheh.  7.) Utahime is mom, Gojo is brat 1, and the kids are angels. As much as Gojo tries to become a ‘father’ he ends up as the real baby. Tsumiki is close to both of them and finds Gojo funny, while Megumi favors Utahime more. I love this family trope.  8.) Utahime would wing everything about Gojo being annoying. However, she’ll also be suprised from time to time with new information of Gojo. It shows that he’s also still human despite his ‘god-like facade’ and she appreciates that. He’s still a jerk tho.  9.) Why do you think Kusakabe was in the Tokyo School in the first place? OK so call me delusional but ever since the chapter with Skull Knight's memories came out, I've always wondered if the woman was meant to parallel both Casca and Griffith. I don't think it's too farfetched since Griffith has heavy parallels with both Void and Gaiseric/SK in this current iteration of the causality "spiral" that Flora talked about. The way I came to this conclusion was after reading a thread on twitter with some really solid evidence that the woman in the armor's memories (1/5)

(the cherry blossom priestess who Flora was said to have worked for) was actually Dannan. The story kind of alludes to this when Dannan gifts Farnese her old castoff cherry blossom mage robes. Anyway, when 362 was released there were countless comments about how they legit thought SK was holding Griffith lol. And it isn't that hard to see why, bc in that first panel she certainly had a look evocative of Griffith with her fair curly hair and her chiton's white cape resembling his. (2/5)

Upon further observation, it seems that her hair from the back view was purposefully flattened, bc it has a significantly more rounded silhouette from the front (when her face is revealed). Which kinda makes me think the psych-out was intentional? Furthermore, that makes the similarities between Dannan and Griffith potentially more significant. Both are powerful rulers of a near-utopian kingdom that features a giant spirit tree as its center (one a haven for elves, the other for humans) (3/5)

And if Dannan's body is buried under the triskele stone in the giant tree, it probably means she went through some kind of transformation or rebirth that allowed her spirit to survive beyond her corporeal body - possibly what the "phase of the moon" motif on her jewelry hints at. Which is a motif also heavily associated with Griff, who also went through a few reincarnations of his own. (This could also be connected to the taboo Flora violated if she was also close to Dannan)(4/5)

I think Dannan being the woman would've still tied in nicely with your Berserk endgame theory since she would be doing this out of revenge for Void/GH and to protect Elfhelm from Griffith. She was/still is an augur, right? Perhaps she had some idea of Griffith's ultimate plans. ANYWAY, we'll probably never know now but I'm almost certain that Miura was planning on mirroring the image of SK catching the woman and future Guts catching NeoGriffith. (5/5) 

That’s really interesting, and tbh this sounds pretty plausible to me. I would love for the Griffith lookalike thing in that panel to be intentional - well honestly, even if it’s meaningless I still think it’s intentional in that Miura wanted to draw a giant Berserk-armoured hand holding a figure with long curly blond hair and a cape lol - but it would be cool if it was the first half of a future parallel.

And I’d never considered drawing parallels between Danann and NeoGriff wrt their positions as rulers of magical kingdoms but that’s a rly good point.

1) I THINK flow is very important, and to think of the body as a whole rather than a bunch of parts? I’ve found that it helps me a lot when drawing say AN ARM, to think about how the hand is connected to the forearm and how the forearm is connected to the arm and how that connects to the shoulder + torso, rather than just the arm itself. Always think about things in relation to other things, and that not only helps with remembering how they fit, but also with proportions! It also helps to try and think of it as a 3 dimensional form, rather than a flat picture in order to figure out how it might look in different angles. My personal approach to anatomy is basically to think about how things work i.e. OBSERVE PEOPLE/PICTURES and find common curves and bony points and then figure out what muscles/ bones form them. FOR EXAMPLE THE SHOULDER:

If you look at examples, you’ll see that there’s a muscle that forms the curve down to the arm called the deltoid, and that attaches to the collarbone AND THERE YOU HAVE YOUR LANDMARKS to start off on:

Heals Me. i think it’s strange how underappreciated jooheon is in this fandom especially bc he’s usually the one who catches ur eye first bc he’s so hyped by starship as being a one-in-a-million talented rapper u know? and he rly shines in mvs and no.mercy but............. y does he have the least fansites jkfhdg ?? you’re v right abt the reversal charm thing but i feel like sometimes it’s very overdone like... on lots of shows he’s asked to do aegyo when rly he should be asked to... idk... rap or dance or something?? i actually think jooheon is the most serious member of monsta x sometimes bc he seems to have a sense that he’s.. the pillar of mx if that makes sense? and that’s why he’s always pushing himself and working tirelessly like he feels very Responsible for this group, more than anyone else. idk if that makes sense!!! i love him and i want him to... unwind a bit bc sometimes he looks so stressed and tired but he still feels the need to pretend to be energetic like my heart rly hurts for him :/ this got so emo im sry i do rly love to hear that u respect him sm i love jooheon stans :(

i can see what u mean about jooheon being 1 of the most masculine.
