Soy why soy? Soy wax is made from environmentally friendly, renewable resources; whereas classic paraffin wax is made from petroleum and is non-renewable. A lot of larger brands use paraffin wax to cut down on cost, but it can be harmful to your health. Not only are there environmentally friendly advantages to choosing soy wax over a different type of candle wax, but soy wax also burns slower than paraffin wax, meaning you get a candle that lasts longer. Alongside zero toxins, carcinogens or pollutants mean that soy candles are less likely to trigger allergies. Soy wax is much healthier for us and the environment. This planet-friendly substance doesn't emit any nasties into our atmosphere. When it comes to candles soy wax is an excellent fragrance carrier that does not require chemical amplifiers. The result is a well-balanced true to scent candle. To sum it al up, 1. Soy wax is a natural, renewable resource made from soybeans. 2. Soy wax is biodegradable and cleans up with plain old soap and water. 3. Soy wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax and because of this, soy candles will burn slower or longer than paraffin candles. 4. Soy wax burns with zero petro soot, creating petro soot free candles. Unlike paraffin candles that a lot of the big brands use. 5.
