Neil deffo stamps his feet when he gets excited about something and Todd just lets him rant about whatever he is interested in because he loves seeing Neil happy.
(In the scene where Neil write a letter from his Father if you listen to it Neil stamps his feet)
just remembered neil and todd are not canonically gay that is SO funny. like they prob intended us to look at them and go "oh yeah two normal straight dudes in the 50s!" and made them the gayest little guys in a queer-coded story LMAOOOOO
idk what ending everybody’s talking about cause everyone knows that dead poets society ended with Neil and Todd having an un-official wedding ceremony after graduation and Neil becoming a well established actor, Todd becoming a well established writer and even writing some of the plays that Neil starred in
Okay I know it’s not a popular headcanon but I think Neil would have a very hard time coming to terms with being gay. Like Todd would also but I think that because he doesn't have that much pressure from his family he is free to realize himself. I think Neil being in love with Todd would have a constant battle with his own thoughts and homophobia.
And not in the cute way like full on hating himself and Todd and hand on bible while kissing style.
todd works as a tutor for some cash and neil works as a todd simp full time so he hires todd and pretends to be doing bad in english class, despite having good grades overall and todd's like "well what do you have the most trouble with"
and neil may be an actor but he's not much of liar so he panics and says "everything"
