Hello! How are you ? Just one question! who do you think will die in the upcoming chapters of blue exorcist ? do you think anyone will die at all?
Hello anon! You're lucky because I'm having a nice easy week so I get to respond to you on the same day! (how rare)
Thank you for the question. I have seen this one come up recently within the fandom, especially with the manga ramping up for what seems to be a climax arc, but I never really had a solid answer for it. Kazue Kato is a master at misdirection and subverting expectations. She'd raise a death flag on purpose just for the lolz -u-"""
Personally, I don't see any of the main crew getting picked off, but then again, I didn't think Demon King! Rin was actually going to show up in his sweat pants so like... I'm just as scared as everyone else is.
I do think there will be some deaths though! And I'm hoping to see a few revives as well.
Spoiler warning for latest chapters under the cut
So from theories I've seen going around:
Renzou Shima has had major death flags on him for a while. This is probably just Kato trolling us though. I don't see any benefit coming out of his death anyways (snore) just kidding I love Renzou please don't die
Shiemi has said things that raised major death flags in the latest chapters, however, she's also under the protection of the Protagonist's Favored One's Halo, so unless Kato is a true masochist, I don't see her staying dead if worst comes to worst
Bon, probably also Kato's troll. Konekomaru is protected by the Cat Name Haver's Halo.
Izumo is in too much of a dire need for a glow-up to die.
Yukio is... cursed by the Protagonist's Favored One's Halo. Or at least he was but Rin feels a bit distracted lately. He'll live, but at What Cost? Couldn't say (probably a lot).
The Adults: Neuhaus is probably going to die. Shura might come close, but she'll hang in there so she can attend Rin's graduation. Lucy Yang might die. Lewin is favored by the author so I hope that means he's safe. Angel is not favored by the author so I really don't want to think about what's going to happen to him. Osceola better not die bc I need Rin to become his apprentice. Shiemi's mom is close to dying but I really hope she doesn't.
The Demons: I don't care either way so I never really thought about it (sorry demon lovers). If anything, it's more likely that we'll see demons that have crystalized, revive (Azazel, Armumahael, Shemihaza, Satan).
Also on a similar note, the demon eaters plot point was never fully resolved. Todou "died" off screen so unless Kato totally forgot about him, he's due for a comeback.
It's also interesting that Paku and Godaiin were focused on in the glimpse into the future. Nemu Takara also stayed back and is presumably still alive in that future, and those 3 from the kid's table still need to come back into the story. I doubt any of them will die ;w; that'd be too sad.
Jeremiah might die.
Dragulescu (??? idk how to spell his name) better die.
Other Illuminati: uhhh maybe the Lundstroms? I like Homare and I think she'll have something to do with Lucifer changing his mind about things. Lucifer isn't the main villain anyways so he's probably safe.
Rin... I don't think he'll be the same at the end of the manga, so to me, that counts as dying. Rin and Demon!Rin still haven't resolved their differences. Rin will have to choose a side, or face being forever unstable. But choosing will change him. Right now, he's living as 2 alter-egos/split personality. We've never seen him truly whole, and from the glimpses we have seen, he's kind of scary.
tl;dr Might die: Neuhaus, Shima, Lucy, Jeremiah, Dragulescu, Todou round 2, Rin (kinda)

--
“Are you nervous about it?”
Ryuuji’s shoulders tensed at the question. He glanced towards Konekomaru who met his gaze all too knowingly, then his eyes unwillingly flickered towards the heavy wooden door, behind which his future lay.
“Why would I be?” he answered back, stubbornly correcting his line of sight and looking forward, back to overseeing the large ship full of guards and navy men performing their duties. “It’s just a book,” Ryuuji said firmly.
Konekomaru gave Ryuuji a sympathetic look.
“It’s a book that will show the world the bright future you’ll lead us toward,” he corrected gently. “Your father's prophecy foretold as much. And we all know that you're up for the task. Shouldn't you be more excited about finally being able to hear it with your own ears?"
Ryuuji sighed, his gaze falling slightly under his friend’s gentle encouragement. “Of course I’m excited,” he muttered as his brow furrowed and his jaw set firmly. He knew that Konekomaru could see how truly nervous he was, and so he couldn’t bring up the courage to say it out loud. “I’ll be what everyone needs me to be, and what the Book of Prophecies tells us will be more of what we already know.” Ryuuji shook his head and straightened up, more determined than ever. “So I’m not nervous! You don’t need to worry about me.”
Konekomaru laughed quietly. “Let me worry a little, while it’s just the two of us. Somebody’s got to watch out for you,” he added teasingly.
“I’m the prince, soon to be king. I’m the one that’s supposed to be watching out for all of you,” Ryuuji pointed out.
“Even a king needs his guards. You don’t need to do it all by yourself. But I suppose I won’t have to worry about that either soon, will I, Your Majesty?”
The look Konekomaru gave him now was even more teasing than the last. Ryuuji flushed, but as he opened his mouth to reply, they felt the ship lurch violently. Konekomaru staggered into him and Ryuuji clutched onto his shoulder and the railing, keeping both of them on their feet. A few of the crewmen weren’t so lucky, some of them flipping head over heels from the force of the of the large, two mast ship scraping into the side of theirs. Hooks and blades gripped to the side of their vessel, latching on firmly.
Chaos broke out. Men and women both rushed onto the ship with swords out and excited battle cries. Ryuuji’s eyes widened as he and Konekomaru pulled out their swords.
They were being boarded by pirates.
Ryuuji and Konekomarau quickly found themselves standing back to back as they fended off their attackers. It wasn't the first time either of them had seen combat, so they were able to hold their ground with some ease, but as Ryuuji peered over to look at how the rest of the crew was handling things, he grimaced.
There was a busty woman showing far too much skin dancing circles around Ryuuji’s crew members with unmitigated glee and calculated violence. A pair of blond, bulky twins brothers were making quick work of several others with little difficulty, and—
Is that a dog?
Ryuuji almost let the grip on his sword falter as he stared, incredulously, as the large Mastiff mix lunged forward with purpose and closed its teeth around one of the guard's unprotected backside.
The ensuing yowl of the man made Ryuuji wince in sympathy—and drew a hearty snicker from a man with the brightest shade of pink hair Ryuuji had ever seen, who darted forward with an acrobatic twist in the air and kicked the injured man right out into the sea before landing next to the dog.
"Atta boy, Sinbad!" the man cooed in a voice that rang familiar.
And when he turned to beat back another incoming attack, Ryuuji was stunned to see a pair of brown eyes that really were unmistakably familiar. The structure of his face had aged with time, no longer the teenager he remembered, but Ryuuji knew without a doubt who it was that stood before him.
He was stunned by his presence, and the pink-haired man seemed to be equally as stunned when his gaze slid over to meet Ryuuji’s.
"Renz-"
But Ryuuji hardly had a chance to wrap his lips around the name that he hadn’t uttered in years when he received a blow against his back that brought him to his knees.
"Your Majesty!" Konekomaru gasped, but that distraction cost him as well, and they both found themselves pinned in place by the blond twins whose grip was unrelentingly tight.
Those few seconds of distraction seemed to be all the time needed for the pirate captain that had boarded Ryuuji's ship to recover his wits.
"Well, well. Heya, Ryuuji. Long time no see. You're looking well."
Renzou, his longtime childhood friend, approached him with an amused smirk stretching across his lips.
“Renzou!” Ryuuji shoved at the bulky blond holding him down. He didn’t know whether to be shocked, betrayed, or happy to see him again despite the situation. The mix of the three emotions just left him feeling on edge. “You can’t just act like this is some get together! What’s going on here? And get off!” Ryuuji barked at the twins who only smirked back at him in response, giving Renzou a knowing look.
Renzou waved a hand carelessly, using the same motion to both dismiss Ryuuji’s words, and signal for him to be released from his captor’s grip. Konekomaru received the same courtesy, but Renzou didn’t spare either of them a glance once they were on their feet. Instead, he waltzed right up to the door his old friends had been previously guarding and broke its lock with a quick twist of the knife that had been hanging from his waist.
“Really, I’d love to catch up, but I’m kinda in the middle of something, yanno? Got things to do, places to go, stuff to steal… No hard feelings, yeah?”
"Hey, wait a damn second!" Ryuuji snapped, lunging forward to grab Renzou's arm, a grasp that he easily dodged with a twist as he disappeared past the door with a mischievous look. Ryuuji wasted no time in following him into the improvised vault they'd made on the royal navy ship.
There, in the center, was an old, heavy looking tome. The leather was aged, yet showed no sign of wear and tear. The mysterious magic that enabled its prophecies also kept it from truly falling victim to the weathering of time.
Renzou was reaching for it and Ryuuji rushed in, pushing himself between his old friend and the book.
"After all these years, you're just going to walk in and steal from me?!" Ryuuji looked into his familiar eyes.
Or tried to anyway. Renzou’s gaze avoided him, focused as he was on his prize.
“Yanno, when you put it that way, I do feel kinda bad. I wish I had boarded some other sucker’s boat instead. But hey, I’m sure this won’t be more than a slap on the wrist given that it’s you. How’s old man Tatsuma doing anyway?”
Ryuuji sighed heavily, his expression leaning towards a grimace at Renzou's candid tone. Yet he couldn't ignore the warmth in his chest at the sound of it, like a pavlovian response he still hadn't forgotten.
"He's fine," Ryuuji grumbled. "But would you keep on topic?! You can't take this. You have to know what it means for our country! This isn't some random pirate treasure you can sell in whatever black market you frequent!"
Renzou spared him a glance this time, his lips curved with amusement. “Oh, come on. Have a little more faith in me. I’m going to give it back to its rightful owners—for the right price.” He winked. “Wouldn’t want to deprive the people of the sweet comfort of a known, controlled future. Whatever would they do without it?” he said, rolling his eyes.
“Are you serious?!” Ryuuji hissed, leaning forward. “This book is supposed to make it back to the castle under my protection and you’re still going to take it and ransom it off?! I thought you were my friend!”
Renzou pushed Ryuuji off to the side, his touch more gentle than the exasperated expression coloring his face. “Ryuuji, listen. The time we spent together as kids were good memories. I treasure them, really—just as I’ll treasure this lovely little trinket until I get properly compensated for its safe return. So don’t give me such a hard time. A guy’s gotta earn his living, yanno,” he said as he reached for the book.
Ryuuji sputtered in shock, but recovered quickly. He grabbed Renzou’s wrist, pulling his hand away and using the same movement to drag Renzou back towards him so they could look at each other face to face.
“Are you really just gonna dismiss it all, just like that?!” His fist shook at his side as he clenched it, trying not to crush Renzou’s arm within his fingers. Even though he felt like he should.
“You’re my best friend and you just disappeared for years and now you’re going to just steal the Book of Prophecies and run away again?! You can’t—”
The ship lurched again and, this time, the sounds of panic were from voices they both recognized. The two of them didn’t hesitate and rushed to the door to aid their crews. But what they encountered was hardly anything they were prepared for.
The ship tipped towards the bow as the heavy weight of a tentacled Kraken gripped the mast and deck, trying to pull itself up.
They were being boarded by a sea monster.
“Dammit!” Ryuuji snarled, taking out his sword again.
“Captain, we gotta go!” the busty woman from before shouted from the edge of the ship.
“You can’t just leave!” Ryuuji turned on Renzou at once, whose eyes had narrowed in a way that Ryuuji was all too familiar with. That calculating expression made his heart surge, made him think of the countless times they faced a seemingly impossible threat together and won—but the warmth that nostalgic sight filled him with was just as quickly sucked out of him when Renzou’s gaze darted to his crew, his face taking a decisive turn.
“Seems like you’ve got your hands full, so I guess we’ll have to catch up another time. Best of luck!” Renzou delivered those words with a wink before rushing off towards his crew who hadn't hesitated to jump back to the safety of their own ship.
“RENZOU!” Ryuuji shouted after him, but was much too slow to grab the back of his shirt. He couldn’t afford to chase after him now. His ship, his people were in danger and if Renzou wanted to run from that, then Ryuuji would be the one to keep his priorities straight.
He began barking orders to his crew, directing them into a defensive formation. If they didn’t protect the ship, they would all drown. There was no running away for him.
It was a fact that the Kraken seemed well aware of as it pulled itself up in an almost relaxed fashion, making itself at home on the bow of the ship and batting away any crewmen who came at it with their blades out.
Then, it began to feed. A thinner, more dextrous tentacle shot out and wrapped around a nearby crewman before pulling him unceremoniously into the monster’s mouth. The crew, spooked, momentarily paused their defensive assault and it was enough for the Kraken to claim another.
“Ryuuji!” Konekomaru gasped out his name in panic as the lightning fast tentacle wrapped around his middle.
“No!” Ryuuji rushed forward, arm outstretched to try and grab Konekomaru’s wrist, but his fingers barely grazed his friend’s skin before he was jerked away by the sea monster. “NO!! KONEKOMARU!”
“Oh, for the love of—“
Ryuuji hardly registered the muttered swear that the wind carried over the rush of panic thumping at his ears, but his head snapped up as Renzou’s voice rose to utter a snap command.
“Heads up!”

Dearest Tea:
Many times you've expressed fascination with the monstrously large fic himi and I are writing (made more monstrous in concept since she's writing in her second language.)
I saw your tag under a post asking for more weird asks, so I figured I would tell you about our silly little fic, here are a few highlights, and some out of context general facts.
For starters the word count on The Fic is but a scratch on the surface. There's thousands and thousands more words of world building, including alternate scenes we couldn't make up our mind on.
Without further ado:
Shura jumps out a multi story window. Her cockiness knows no bounds. This does not go well for her.
The ending involves somewhat secretive world domination. I also execute angel in great detail in front of a crowd.
We have many thousands of words intricately detailing a vampire biology that is joyfully and needlessly complex, to the point that I'll most likely write a guide that goes with the fic in lieu of figuring out how to work it all into the story. No other piece of vamp media EVER has as much detail as we do. Nothing else holds a candle to it in concept, there are a few similar fics, but none so long and detailed.
Toudou Saburota has 12 teeth pulled out in great detail, it is a scene I happen to be particularly proud of, and one of the first ones I wrote. Without further elaboration, Lucifer is the one who undertakes this task.
Renzou is still a conniving and backstabbing little shit. It bites him in the ass extremely thoroughly and he comes to regret his choices beyond comprehension (again, Lucifer adjacent statement).
Don't do drugs kids, or do, these guys certainly are. (Vampire blood is psychoactive in certain situations.)
Yuri's death is still fucked up, but Different, and death is never truly the end.
Running from apex predators is never a good idea. No one ever seems to learn this.
Egyn, Azazel, Beelzebub and Iblis are all OCs of himi's from before we knew what they were like in canon.
Blood. So much of it. Everywhere. (Obviously ✨).
Wish shiro lived? This is the fic for you!
Frustrated with Yukio and wish he had consequences for his actions? This is also the fic for you. I cannot express how much this applies, we took Get His Ass very seriously.
The genre could best be described as soft horror, or dark fluff. No idea what you know about the agere fic community, especially the non-con side of it. Know this part's kind of a bomb shell since we (said community) don't tend to surface in popular fandom very often or at all for obvious reasons, but figured I'd put it out there so you could back out before you get too invested if that's something you don't want to go near.
I can't think of anything else currently. Do with this information what you will, I like to share things and you expressed interest. I hope you enjoyed, or are at least more psyched to see what we're up to.
Sincerely and with friendship,
EyeballsToEntrails
To my friend EyeballsToEntrails, Thank you so much for the ask! It came at a time where I needed something interesting to read and you really delivered.
I have no idea what most of this means if I'm going to be honest, but as you already know, I'm not one to read tags or even read things in order, so as long as your fic stays as entertaining as these little snippets seem, I will still be looking forward to when you eventually finish and post. Thousands and thousands of words...damn
Sincerely,
Brightorangetea

not sure if you're taking requests, but 💖🐑 if yes pls? :)
This is the very first writing request I've ever made and I feel kinda honored that it's coming from you... I went with YukiShima, I hope you like it :)
💖 enstablished relationship
🐑 fluff
(Some very light angst sneak in sorry, I couldn't help that)
Also, I decided to write the original version too since I really like some phrases but I couldn't translate them because I don't know English that well (sorry for grammatical mistakes).
They were now at the end of their hangout at Mepphyland which Shiemi had forced invited them to.
A break will do us good, no secrets, no demons. Just us and lots of fun!
Yukio tried to slip out with some weak excuses, but Rin had none of that shit and, grabbing his lil bro on his shoulder, took him with force with them.
After too much rides for their energy, they were walking lazily through the stalls. Yukio was behind the group, slowly walking hand in hand with Renzou. The silence between them was comfortable, like all of their silcences. Casually Yukio's sight was attracted to a prize stall, specially to one of the prizes. The most fluffy stuffed penguin he had ever seen. It was so cute. He didn't notice he has stopped, his gaze enraptured by the peluche.
Renzou, who spent all the time admiring his beautiful boyfriend, didn't miss the sudden stop. He just watched while the adoring look on Yukio's face was been replaced with a frown.
When Yukio turned his head with the intention to continue the walk ignoring his desire to hold the stuffed animal like his life depends on that, he found himself in front of a very familiar pair of curious honey eyes. He hold the sight while he felt his cheeks warming up. He knew he has been caught, but in case Renzou asked he would denied everything.
"Do you want to tell me what that poor stall do to you?", asked Renzou smiling delighted.
Bastard.
"Nothing"
The frown came back but the blush ruined the intimidating look. Renzou found it adorable.
"Whatever you say..."
Renzou rolled the eyes and everything in him screamed "I'm not believing you, not a bit", then his eyes returned on Yukio and his gaze became naughty. Yukio knew what was going to happen so he just waited the words.
"Shall we play?" said Renzou while he was making his way towards the prize stall.
"We don't have enough time", Yukio tried to refute without a real effort. It was just an useless stuffed animal and he was too old for this kind of things. He wouldn't need it. But that penguin looked amazing and that day he was feeling selfish. He wanted that penguin so bad. Not that he'd ever say it out loud.
"Just a quick round, come on! Come ooooooooon"
Yukio said to himself that he accepted just for not earing Renzou's petty tones anymore.
The game was pretty easy: several rubber ducks of various colours and sizes associated with points were floating in a circular little pool. The only thing you had to do was fishing with a hooked staff the highest score in five rounds. The penguin required 45 points. With his luck, Yukio had to have his left eye damaged after Satan's possession months ago. This means that his depth perception was compromised and he only reached a whole rotten 10 points-duck. He won a chibi version of his head master and half-brother charm that Yukio was sure it was mocking him. It didn't matter, that peluche wasn't even that good. (It was, Mephisto made sure to have the best in everything and damn, why did he do that? The soft and puffy fluff of the penguin was begging him to caress it, it had even chubby wings! Rin have often told him to do more thing for himself, to allow himself more freedom, well now was one of the rare moments in which he really listen to his brother. Rin would be so proud.)
To avoid the inevitable autodestruction of the charm due to Yukio's piercing gaze, Renzou happily bopped the other's nose, bringing the attention of his majestic, stubborn, intelligent boyfriend back to him. Renzou blinked his eye and turned to the stall to begin his first round. After five smooth and confident drawns Yukio envied, Renzou had collected 60 points. He asked for another charm and the penguin.
"For you", said calmly while he drag away an amazed Yukio.
The stuffed penguin felt even flufflier than it seemed when Yukio hold it. He didn't think that Renzou would really do that for him but, honestly, he had it coming, this was one of the sappy things Renzou would enjoy doing with him. For him. His heart was making strange flips in his chest. He may need to check his medicine textbooks for heart deseases. Renzou chose that moment to wrap Yukio's shoulders in a lateral hug and now his heart was doing parkour for the amount of emotions.
Following those sensations, Yukio hugged his boyfriend tightly and Renzou didn't wait a second longer to return the hug. Both were smiling wildly and even if they couldn't see each other, they felt them.
"Thank you", Yukio breathed in Renzou's neck, who thightened the hug for another moment and then released it to let Yukio stepping away. Yukio's hot cheecks were making his eyes teary so he decided to watch the street instead, while he was hugging his penguin shyly.
Renzou thought he was in Heaven, that paradisiac sight in front of him shouldn't be allowed on Earth. A man's heart can held so much...
Lingering for another moment, Yukio scanned the surroundings and then returned his gaze on Renzou. In a brave moment Yukio kissed the other's cheek softly and now Renzou was sure he was in Heaven. He was euphoric, his cheecks were turning pink as his hair and his heart was pounding wildly and he never allowed something or someone to ruin this perfect moment. Therefore Renzou quickly took his cheeks in a cup and firmly kissed him.
Yukio kissed back but he stepped back too early for Renzou's taste, so the pinkette held on and put many adoring butterflies kisses on all the brunette's red face, who simply laughed softly at his silly, sweet, caring boyfriend, still hugging the stuffed penguin.
-------------------

ao no exorcist DND AU except that I haven't played in ages and don't know the English terms or how the game works. Enjoy. Feel free to add. Feel free to run with this. I'm just happy to write about my chaotic boy.
.
Liu goes overboard with many things in life but Yukio has never seen him quite like this. It's a bit too early to assume he is excited about this but perhaps this might be exactly it. It all started when the exchange exorcist brought a huge bag of dice to their first meeting and dumped it onto the table.
"I will take the red ones. For luck," he announced with a grin. It was in that moment that Yukio realized how out of place it felt to see the exorcist without his uniform or clothing that indicated his field of work. There was something about someone he admired - and still admires, if he's honest with himself - in such a casual scenario.
He still thinks it's weird, with his dice stacked on top of each other in front of him and a character sheet in front of him. He tries not to look, for he is sure that a glance might turn into something very embarrassing.
They've had a few sessions by now and Yukio is slowly starting to understand the game. Liu's outfits range from casual to "clearly just left a work meeting" but it doesn't seem to change his motivation. With no fail, he'll start the sessions with a bright grin and an excited narrating voice. He's happy, and Yukio might be happy as well. He enjoys trying to figure out the characters on Liu's shirts, all of them seem to be puns that he can vaguely understand with his knowledge of Kanji but doesn't know the pronunciation of. He enjoys the game.
He realizes another thing. The worst and best thing about the whole affair is that he can feel his different experiences, different acquaintances, all melt into one entity. One life. And it works. Why does it work? Why does it feel right to sit next to Shima Renzou and exchange banter with his character, while trying not to stare at Liu's face or yell at his brother? It works and it feels like he's part of something without being out of place. Yukio isn't too young or too old for this. All he needs to do is pray to the dice gods - this is funny to them as they are all aware that the divine can very much be proven but dice gods might not be a part of it.
By the fourth meeting, Yukio has to officially admit that he is looking forward to this. Things are starting to get complicated by then.
It starts with a side character Liu introduces. A small demon that Yukio recognizes to be from a children's book. Liu explains that one of his ancestors was credited to have performed an exorcism on the demon back in the day - and even if there's no truth to this at all, it seems to be a nice way to honor the man's heritage.
Then Rin announces, "I want to befriend it."
Liu clearly intended for this to be a minor boss battle, at least Yukio assumes this judging by the look on his face. He's smiling, an unsettling expression on his handsome features.
"Why?" he asks. "That's a demon."
"Well, so am I."
Liu looks over to Yukio who offers a little shrug.
"Let him try," Suguro Ryuuji says before Yukio can open his mouth to say the same.
"It might be fun!" Shima chimes in, which might not be the way Yukio would phrase it but very in character.
Liu lifts one of his red dice, the D20, and rolls it between his slender fingers.
"Roll for Wisdom," he instructs Yukio's twin. "Animal handling."
For a second it looks like Rin is about to protest but he sighs and nods. Yukio assumes that Rin would rather roll for that than charisma - or maybe he just doesn't want to ruin his chances. Rim's dice are bright blue, not unlike his flames. Yukio leans closer to follow the movement. The dice jumps on the table, just once, before slowly coming to a stop.
A natural 20 faces up.
"Does that work?" Rin asks with the biggest grin Yukio has seen on anyone, ever.
Liu says a word that seems to have more than one meaning because even though Yukio knows it to be very harmless, it seems to be a curse word in this context.
"You befriend the demon," Liu says after a couple of seconds. "And now excuse me, I have to rewrite this entire game for unrelated reasons."

Blue Exorcist/Ao no Exorcist
So I'm on a Blue Exorcist kick... again. And I have a fic idea that might one day (probably not) get written.
So in the manga, Rin is a bit of a delinquent, because demon anger (same), but is a wholesome and kinda stupid bean. A bit rebellious. But tries his best to be a good boy and follow the rules and his morals.
My idea is he is still a wholesome good sunshine boy. More of a delinquent and more rebellious and angsty. So everything goes down the same as in the beginning. Father Fugimoto rescues him and dies, Mephisto takes him and Yukio in. Yukio is distant and secretive. But Rin is a lil bad ass that stands up for himself and has zero fucks to give.
Finds out Yukio has been living a secret life. Tells him off and calls him out on being a shitty brother keeping that kind of secret. Is told not to let anyone know that he is a demon and the son of satan. Okay, until he realizes he's made friends and is like, well fuck... can't lie to them like my brother does to me. Tells Shiemi and Bon because he's closer to them. Shiemi is a good bean and promises not to tell anyone and that they are still friends. Bon freaks out a little bit because holy shit the dude that said he is gonna defeat satain is seriously gonna kill his sperm donor for killing his dad. But he uses his big boy brain and gets over the shock and is touched that he was trusted enough to be told. He's given the task to break it to Konekomoru and Renzou. The camp fiasco happens, but no one freaks out to Yukio and Shura's surprise (they been know). Arthur Agust Angel shows up and the gang is like "you want him, you gotta get through us". He gets him, but he does tell the Grigori about it. And Rin tells them all off for trying to punish him for his father from hell's actions. Boy don't even know the man, just found out he's half demon. Like chill ya old farts, he's half human too and has every right to live. He just needs a bit of training is all. They ignore him and follow as the manga does. Kyoto is still a angsty nightmare, but filled with more friendship and Rin pestering the hell out of Bon and telling him off for being a dick to his dad and warning him about the horrors of last words. Punches the shit out of him (cuz I low key love that part) and flames up. Cue the shock and anger. Bon just a lil shocked and pissed at being punched but is also a good friend and knows that shit just got serious tries to brush it off. "It's okay, he's an idiot but a good guy and bursts into flames on occasion. We're working on it." Rin gets locked up cuz fuck the Grigori. Gets broken out. And Bon is like "I know I was a dick, but help me save my dad and everyone." Cue rescue mission, can I not burn everyone worries, epic fight scene and because I love it a very gay confession from Bon who seriously thought Rin asked him out to Kyoto tower but it was as friends with group so Bon's confession just flies right over the head of messy hair. Same bullshit as in the manga but with Rin pining over two people. Yes he finally starts to clue in on Bon's feelings. Have you seen the punk in the bath (swoon)! Rin is aware of all that muscle. Aaannnd Bon deadass kissed before the festival when Renzou scurried off to do some sketchy shit. So Rin is torn but totally leaning toward the option that doesn't constantly put his brother first. More sibling fighting cuz Rin calls Yukio out a lot. No submissive don't cause trouble for my brother Rin here. They at each other's throats all the damn time cuz Rin knows something is up and does not put up with Yukio's bullshit. Does no good cuz Yukio is a mental mess and an ass. Same shit as manga. Illuminati shit got me fucked up. Friends reunited and it feels so good. Rin knows where Shiemi is cuz she told him, but he keeps his mouth closed cuz he ain't no snitch. Bon, who watched his love die then get whisked away and has been dealing with Lightning's tomfuckery is just like, "fuck it" and absolutely lays a filthy gay panic gonna fuck you when we get home kiss on Rin. Yukio's poor virgin just had a meltdown tantrum heart just can't handle it. Poor lil asshole. (I've kinda forgiven the four eyed nerd.) Rin is all for more kisses like that. Change his damn name to Suguro cuz fuck is he gonna spend the rest of his life doing that. Epic battle of daddy issues. And happy ending of Bon taking Rin home to meet mom and dad as not the demon boy but as the fiancé cuz Bon don't play around. Bump being boyfriends, he knows what he wants.
The end.

I realized that most of the characters in AoEx has a tragic backstory, but Shima fucking Renzou though. His story seems mild when compare to others, and he doesn’t have an arc for it (yet)? But it’s just so goddamn depressing.
Renzou is pretty much ignored by his siblings, or at least being treated very differently. Take this greetings for example.
Tumblr media
And compare it to how they greet Gozou.
Tumblr media
And was Kinzou’s kick REALLY neccessary? Also, what’s up with Gozou greeting Ryuji, but doesn’t even bother acknowledging his younger sibling!?!? Even his little sister... totally disregarding Renzou for Konekomaru.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, that’s fine, cause your parent loves you right? RIGHT?
Tumblr media
The first person Yaozou asked about was Ryuji. THEN, Konekomaru. (just look at Renzou’s face. I. Am. Crying.) He then proceed to praise Koneko for his actions. AND when Renzou tried to get his father’s attention by telling him he got injured...
Tumblr media
Yaozou straight up hit him! and basically call him a good for nothing. Kato-sensei most likely takes a comedic approach to this to avoid delving into the whole subject. But if you think about it. REALLY think about it. This really is fucking heartbreaking, because neglect IS a form of abuse.
Renzou obviously harbor some deep resentments for this. I’m not saying that he doesn’t love his friends, because he does. But they are practically the same age, but why is it his duty to prioritize his friends’ lives over his own?!? Just look at his expression to what Koneko said...
Tumblr media
Talk about bad parenting. NO PARENTS in their right mind would allow their son to become a spy at the age of fifteen. In Yaozou’s defense, he DID protest. But it’s always been duty before family in this household hasn’t it? Yaozou didn’t even question the true reasoning behind his son’s decision. To get away from his obligations AND expectations.
Tumblr media
Again, I think Renzou does love and truly care for his friends and family, but this is a boy who’s just tired of everything and is resorting to a life threatening profession for an escape. This is his cry for help. And NO ONE even bother to look close enough.
Like being born into the Shima family, and having to protect and serve the Myodah isn’t enough, Renzou inherited Yamantaka from his deceased brother piling EVEN MORE expectations onto the boy. But it’s not just another expectation though. Takezou is the first-born son, THE pride of Shima family, The Perfect Heir. And Yaozou and the others kept reminding Renzou that he should live his life honouring his brother.
Tumblr media
Does this look like an expression of someone who’s proud or even ready to take up the task?
Tumblr media
But how do you live up to perfection though? YOU FUCKING CAN’T! And telling a child to disregard their own individuality, to walk in the footstep of someone else is just SO messed up. The combination of survivor’s guilt, neglect, and the freakishly high expectations and responsibilities is just TOO MUCH for a boy.
No wonder Renzou has ISSUES. All the boy wanted is just a normal childhood, to be acknowledge for who he truly is, and NOT a to-be-perfect copy of someone who he doesn’t even know.
Renzou IS depressed, and have layers upon layers of other issues that he can’t possibly cope on his own. He needs attention, Acknowledgement, AND LOVE. But with all the different masks he put on, no one is able to see through it.
Tumblr media
My heart goes out for this beautiful angsty boy.

That new Aoex chapter... I was actually hoping we were going back to the present, but I wasn't disappointed by what we got. Quite a bit of lore, a glimpse of the true forms of the demon kings, the birth of the Illuminati, and Shiro becoming a dad. There was a lot going on and I think it really helped to connect the past with the present. What was your favorite part?
MY, ANON, THIS CHAPTER WAS SO FUNNY! Like, the more I look at it, the more I think 50% of it is some sort of joke from Kato-sensei’s part??? And don’t get me wrong, I love it, but just, this was insane.
First of all, can I just say that I truly enjoy Sensei keeping on destroying the very thought of Satan/Yuri as a healthy & romantic pairing with every chapter lately?
Because, there is a lot of things I can agree to disagree with when it comes to opinions, but I can’t understand people praising abuse and seeing it as love, which was definitely the case between Satan and Yuri with some fans.
Supposedly he loved her, but the moment she stops being useful to him?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He destroys her (soul?) as well in Gehenna.
For real, I feel bad for Yuri: we know that she loved Shiro and that it was bad luck & complicated childhoods that kept them away from each other until the end and now she won’t see her sons growing up, the Order is blaming her for Satan & Lucifer’s chaos and she somehow died twice.
And the reason she betrayed Shiro and the Order for? Dude’s blowing it in her face that “it’s her fault” and that she’s useless to him, also after he revealed he killed her foster family. So yeah, I truly despise Satan, he’s not made to be a sympathetic villain at all (one can’t relate to his issue of lacking a body powerful enough to withstand his powers) and I hope their sons will somehow avenge their mother (and their actual father, the man who raised them).
Oh but since we’re on the rather gloomy parts of the chapter, I gotta say that…
Tumblr media
I’m glad the events of ch1 are finally being addressed.
Maybe we’ll find out soon about why Shiro couldn’t withstand Satan’s possession almost a year ago in the story, leading to his death: maybe Rin’s words really did hurt him, especially since we know that Yukio kinda had issues with him back then too, without mentioning Shura’s anger…?
So I don’t know, perhaps he got dispirited thinking his children despised him and then his body had grown too old, or the experiments of Section 13 were too far away in time for him to recover in ch1… I guess we’ll see about that soon. ://
Also also, I kinda got spooked by by the Toudou family:
Tumblr media
Looks like Saburouta killed his brothers and his wife during the Blue Night (?) leaving only his daughter alive, which is somehow how she ended up following in his footsteps and working for the Illuminati.
Pretty scarring for that girl, I wasn’t expecting that at all.
As for the Myo Dha amongst the many victims of the Blue Night…
Tumblr media
…rip Takezou, Koneko’s dad and Mamushi’s mom (also wondering where Jin, Renzou’s oldest sister, was the whole time but I think Sensei forgot about her).
Finally, I always wondered about how Shura fared throughout the whole Blue Night incident and…
Tumblr media
baby girl did well by hiding.
The rest of the chapter though? Mostly funny parts, I swear to Assiah and Gehenna, haha! For example:
Tumblr media
I gotta say I was really intrigued by whatever this Ark is supposed to be, but then…
Tumblr media
…Dude gets out a freaking vacuum to deal with Lucifer’s remains???? Yeah, honestly that’s where I lost it LMAO!
IDK if Sensei meant to imply “that’s because he’s trash” or somehow that vacuum leads to this Ark thing, but I really lost my mind reading that scene. xDD
AND THEN…
Tumblr media
Mephisto literally said “looks like it will be tough cleaning all this up… Well, gotta go now, you sure don’t need my help, bye~!”. Is he the laziest demon or what?!
Finally, guys taking out axes to free Jeremiah from the forest he created to protect himself from Lucifer ended up being the final blow for me:
Tumblr media
This whole scene with Shemihaza really struck me more as funny (with demons having their own vibes) than anything else.
Same style but different time and space, we had Lucifer coming back to Gehenna after being defeated by the combo Shemihaza + Samael and…
Tumblr media
Mephy being here like “omg bro, u sure u ok after I exorcised you? yeah? well that’s good news then”, my God, I couldn’t help but think that he really is the lowest of the low. xDD
Best part of the whole chapter has to be the following panel though, obviously:
Tumblr media
Congrats Shiro, you got what you always wanted: kids to raise and a lifelong debt that is equal to losing your entire freedom. Well, aren’t you h a p p y?
Nah, more seriously, as predictable as it was since everyone expected the “favor” Mephy requested when Shiro was a child to come into play, I still feel truly bad for him. In the end, escaping the Order is what he wished for, ever since his traumatizing childhood in Section 13, and it’s the one thing he never managed to bite back.
Unless… well, we don’t know yet what the twins will do, but if they somehow manage to defeat Mephy (who is on Assiah’s side but also possibly one hell of a villain as far as they are concerned) or even just the Order, then maybe we’ll have Shiro’s revenge finally out in the open.
Tumblr media
To start with, we know that Shiro didn’t raise no weapon. Yukio may not believe it’s true, Rin can have his doubts, but Shura knows the real deal when it comes to Shiro’s feelings about Yuri and her sons.
So Shiro raising sons and not weapons might eventually be what will stab every manipulator within the Order deep in the back, which would make an awesome revenge for him in that case.
Finally about this:
Tumblr media
I made a post about this once, but just so it’s clear: as King of Time, clearly Samael knows that Satan will try to invade Assiah once more and him double crossing the Baals & Satan by telling Satan that he will prepare Rin as a vessel is just the best way to get Rin to face his father once he’s ready:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Which he almost is by now, in my opinion.
So yeah, Mephy is the same manipulator as ever, toying with both humans and demons, but we know he’s on Assiah’s side so, from the way I see things, he cannot be in favor of Satan showing up every now and then, raising havoc.
On the other hand, Mephy toying with Shiro and the Okumura twins (amongst others) is precisely why he could make a very fine big bad that the twins have to confront (both for themselves but also for Shiro’s sake), once Satan and Lucifer are out of the way. Ahhh, we shall see.
TL;DR a w e s o m e chapter, as always lately! Some difficult and gloomy parts, some awful moments, some funny ones and Mephy being the same old trickster he’s fated to be: what else could we ask for?
I hope you enjoyed it too, Anon! I don’t think the present time is coming back that quickly (in at least two or three chapters maybe?), but for now I’m still enjoying the flashbacks, so it’s all fine with me. :))
Please have a nice day and thanks for passing by in the first place! ^3^

Highlights of today’s writing:
—edited the nendousai wip! and added like two words. mmmh. still BLERGH on this one. which I mean, I love it. and got ideas on it! but! it’s disjointed and not really coming together.
—edited the yukishima something new wip :D not much. just little things, but it’s progress. yukio and renzou make me m e l t.
—whoo hoo! 🎉 +39 words to the hankim theyre children wip! and i think!! i finally!!! Got!!! An idea to where to go with this one. Am soooo happyyyyy. might become hankimsangah. or. yoohankimsangah. I already sangah & yjh sort in mind when writing this so. yeah. it’s a mess where I left it. but it’s something where I can built on. I really love this wip. hankim interactions were so, so fun to write about
—I was rereading and writing a comment to this KHR fic, and rereading the manga of the KHR when it hit me. about tsuna’s character, and his early characterisations. which make me rethink on that KHR/ORV wip. because it’s not early!tsuna I had in mind. and this made me think more about it...and I got an idea on where to go with it. changes to make. haha, I don’t if it will go with this way. but, omg! I will be much fun. :D I think I finally found the spark I needed. ✨
—and oh yeah! the sanghee fic! I cut out this part where I was planning to write in (indirect messages from uriel) but didn’t know what to do write. just vague, vague ideas. but while I was rereading it, I felt it was unnecessary and just went. chomp. it felt nice (also. yikes. so want to desperately to edit this. but. i feel like it would be better to first get something down. if I fall that rabbit hole, I won’t be able get out...and everything would become much messy) also! just random thing: really love sangah. I never expect to have this fun when I started to write her :D
—for the reborn/nana wip. There’s this...part I know I don’t need. Or could do with, but want to have it in. just. because I can. I took it for now. And the wip did feel way lighter! by do without, I meant. it felt chunky in it. and felt it disrupted everything. might add it again afterwards...
also this might be a little funny, but this part that I really liked to write is a scene with iemitsu/nana. I don’t like iemitsu at all. but...there’s something about these two. that I do love. their interaction was really interesting and much fun to write. and oof, this separate is going in angsty, and so much hurt, and I can’t!! Wait!! 🤩 I laid down the start, already. And there’s a lot of satisfaction here in this part—because it’s Nana who has the upper hand, she is the one that knows while Iemitsu doesn’t. And I love that a lot.
Also, played with Nana and flames in this wip. Wondering about what sort of flames she’d have. And. Haven’t decided yet—sky & rain so far but I don’t think it would fit in this au. It’s super fun anyways
Have a little reborn & Nana interaction too! Which I LOVE SO MUCH. and by the way, when I said nana/reborn. Their relationship is going to be very slowwww burn, so I doubt I will be able to slide it in. But who knows?
Also! I feel like tsuna gonna to be more and more in this wip. so far, he’s not here much. but—I have ideas. Well. I don’t think you can call it ideas but feeling about tsuna and how he will fit in. his place in all of this, and want to explore.
just. Aaaaaa. I have SO MUCH for this wip. and so!!! excited!!! to do it.
—all the shiemi talked, reminded me of her wip. so I went back. read it, and wow I really like it! added 6 words. it’s a bit disjointed in places, but there’s something about this wip that shines out to me. maybe, I will go back to it tomorrow and fiddled with it
—started a new khr wip! Okay for this one... it’s focused on 8027. I love this two so much, and am so fascinated by their relationship. Yamamoto is a hard character for me to get down. I don’t really understand him, but anyways, I really love the ambiguous of him. And his relationship with Tsuna. I wanted to write something. Just. Anything. On them, but didn’t feel like I could tackle it. So I went with much smaller. The plan with this wip is to have little snippet about this two, like small small and play around. Something easy, no pressure, and just fun. See what unfolds
It’s going well so far :D

Can you write demon Ryu getting in a territory fight with another demon over Rin? (Funny and scary at the same time, like a cat fight lol) Set durring cram school, and Ryu being a type of demon you haven't written about before <3
I got @marble-wolf to help me with this one <3
Here's a snippet of the fic, and there's a link to the full thing at the end. Thanks for the ask!!!
-- -- -- -- --
Ryuuji had kept it a secret since he was little. As much of a secret as he could keep it, which had not been much of one in recent months.
Konekomaru and Renzou knew, of course, because there was no hiding it from them. They'd grown up together as family, and he'd simply been too young to hide it for a while.
He was certain Lewin suspected as well, mainly because his master was eccentric enough to think it and observant enough to notice the hints Ryuuji wasn’t quick enough to hide.
He’d almost given it away to everyone in Kyoto the first time, and he knew he’d given it away with the reaper, but thankfully Rin’s flames had existed and kept Rin from realizing Ryuuji had frozen the reaper when it was trying to bite Rin, and Rin’s flames got the stupid demon to back up.
He often wondered if it was why Amaimon had gone for his throat that first time.
Izumo figured it out when they were in the lab being surrounded by zombies, which meant at this point, Rin and Shiemi were probably the only ones that didn’t know. No one knew what Takara knew, and Yukio had probably figured it out in that closet.
The rest of them finding out didn’t bother him, but Rin finding out worried him. For a lot of reasons. He didn’t want to be judged for what he was, and he didn’t want Rin getting weird around him. He wanted Rin to see him, and not that.
Despite trying to hide that secret and be normal around Rin, Ryuuji struggled hiding the most around Rin. He’d struggled since the beginning, and he had deluded himself for a while that it was because Rin was a nephilim too and drew that part out of Ryuuji, but…
Truthfully, it was because everything about Rin drew Ryuuji in, and the demon part of himself was not content with Ryuuji’s decision to not do anything about his massive and distracting crush on Rin.
He was blaming the demon entirely for why they were here. Kinzou’s concerts were fun enough with ear plugs, but any kind of concert was always a bit of a risk for him.
A siren couldn’t exactly sing without side-effects.
Rin had come up to him with that toothy (fangy) grin and those big blue puppy dog eyes, and Ryuuji had gotten lost in them and come back to himself to find he’d agreed to going to a concert with Rin and the others.
Now he was standing shoulder to shoulder with Rin and Konekomaru, and thanking the Myōō that Kinzou was loud and trying not to look at Rin in his punk outfit. The white fitted jacket and the hoodie were very Rin, but the leather gloves and the ripped slacks with chains were another touch, and the blue studs in Rin’s ears were devilish and Ryuuji was entirely convinced they were there solely to break him.
Rin was bouncing in place and singing happily (but not very well.) His hand caught Ryuuji's sleeve and shook his friend with an excited noise.
He tugged and called, “sing with me!”
He was high off the energy around them and Ryuuji seemed distracted. Rin would pull him out of it.
Ryuuji’s eyes went wide and a small noise that was not a squawk left him. Thankfully it was entirely swallowed by the volume of the crowd.
“Sing?” He mouthed at Rin. Ryuuji couldn’t sing. Singing was a problem for him.
Rin's eyes lit up at the surprise in Ryuuji's eyes. It was fun to draw out that expression.
“Sing! You don't need to sing good!” Rin comforted if that was the issue.
Ryuuji’s problem was the opposite. He sang a bit too well.
Konekomaru bumped him with his elbow as Kinzou went back to the chorus of BRS.
Ryuuji’s eye twitched as he tried to think what to do. He could fake it with most anyone else, but Rin with his stupid (attractive) demon hearing would know he wasn't singing because he could pick out voices despite the overwhelming volume of the music.
“Just like aria class,” Konekomaru whispered around a cough.
Ryuuji glanced at him and did not glance at Rin and his big eyes and locked his gaze back on Kinzou who was bouncing around the stage with more energy than anyone should have when they were growling out their lyrics like that.
Just like aria class. Ryuuji could keep the magic out.
The first few notes didn’t make the world end, so Ryuuji let himself sing a little louder. He did like this song.
Rin's next bounce was a little too high as he gave an excited fist bump and sang with Ryuuji. His tail was wagging wildly and he really might ignite. (But if he did that, Kinzou might haul him up on stage because his flames were cool to the Shima.)
A particularly high jump had Ryuuji stupidly looking over, and his useless heart gave a hard thump at the obvious excitement Rin had. He’d never met someone who just felt so strongly about every moment and let himself really feel his excitement without hesitating even though he had every reason to with the flames. Even his tail was out there for everyone to see.
He sang a bit louder and a bit more earnestly, hardly noticing himself starting to lose control of his voice.
He wanted to dance and sing like that with Rin. (And maybe a bit more.)
Rin liked Ryuuji's voice. It was better than Rin's. He could actually carry a note.
Rin sang louder with Ryuuji and he could hear other voices too!
Ryuuji let himself start to move a little with the music, feeling the pull of it and not watching his voice like he should.
The music swelled louder around them as Kinzou’s song reached its climax, and the audience was dancing and jumping and moving together, and Ryuuji was singing the lyrics at full volume as the song ended.
Rin gave the loudest sort of cheer and he beamed at Ryuuji. He didn't look worried or grumpy or distracted anymore and Rin called that a win!
Ryuuji's singing voice was great too!
“Your voice is beautiful!” A voice was drawing Ryuuji’s attention momentarily from Rin, and at some point when he hadn’t been looking, he’d gotten himself surrounded by people. Mostly girls, though there was a boy too.
His eyes shot to Konekomaru in alarm who gave a tired sort of nod.
“Please,” the second one asked, pushing in and reaching to grab his arm, stepping on Renzou’s foot to do it. “Please, can I have your number?”
“No! Give me your number!”
“Can I have a dance?”
“Can I record you singing?”
Rin's face changed from his elated excitement to pure annoyance as he grabbed onto Ryuuji's arms (gently!) and pulled him back.
“He's shy! Go away!” Rin hissed, obviously annoyed. “You can't just crowd people.”
Especially not Ryuuji!
Ryuuji’s eyes shot to Rin in brief confusion (and something excited about that defensive tone) and Konekomaru stepped between them with that distraction to quickly (and quietly) speaking a mantra to stop the bewitchment.
“We’re in a crowd,” the boy growled, “you can’t stop—”
The mantra took affect and the crowding teens backed up, looking confused as Rin pulled him further away. Izumo and Renzou had closed in on his other sides, keeping them back.
Next time Ryuuji got invited to a concert, he was going to say no, distracting blue eyes or not. He was a siren, and singing had consequences. A lot of them.

Yukio was the type to deal with whatever was bothering him, to busy himself if he couldn't, and to take action. But with his fiancé in a dark cell awaiting execution for a crime he didn't commit, it wasn't time to simply be busy. Action was required and if no one else was going to do something, he would.
Yukio was not a thief, but he would be in order to recruit one. He gathered up jewels and gold, stuffing it away in his clothes from every room he managed to get entry into. The more he stole from the bastards who put Ryuuji on death row, the less helpless he felt. Yukio gathered it all into a few leather purses before changing out of his regal clothing. He snatched a few servant's clothes, something sturdy but easy to move around in, and moved as quickly and quietly as he could to the supplies that were being donated to Renzou's ship.
Tatsuma had decided to give Renzou the best chance possible and thus was donating food to the ten day trip Renzou and his crew were supposed to go on. As no one needed to guard food, Yukio opened one of the large wooden crates and curled up tight into the corner before closing it over him. He held his breath and listened, but the sudden lurching movement told him he hadn't been seen. He was heading straight for Renzou's ship and no one would stop him. Yukio let out a slow, quiet breath, staying perfectly still until the crate he was in was placed down on an unsteady deck.
He was likely on Renzou's boat now, but how would he get out without being seen? If the crew found him before he got the chance to pay Renzou off, he would surely be thrown overboard. He had to play this perfectly—
The crate opened, but the top wasn't taken completely off. Instead, only the corner was lifted.
"Shh."
A short shushing sound passed through the space and Yukio froze. They knew he was there? Already?
"No one else knows you're here. Yet." A man spoke. "The crate was heavily off center and a box packed by the castle would be expertly balanced so what are you going to give me to let you stay?"
Yukio clicked his tongue. They weren't stupid. Unfortunate. He quietly rummaged through his leather purses and grabbed a golden bracelet adorned with a decently sized ruby. The man outside seemingly heard his rustling because the lid of the crate was lifted up just enough for his hand to slip in. He was dirty and Yukio couldn't help but be careful to not touch his skin as he deposited the bracelet into his palm. The hand pulled back and Yukio heard an impressed whistle.
"Well, well, well." The lid lifted again and Yukio saw a bright blue eye half hidden by dark, dirty, raggedy hair. It widened and then squinted in a smile. "Well, well, well," he said again, quieter. "Stay here, Prince. And don't make a sound."
The lid shut at once and Yukio let out another breath. Slow and quiet. Money would talk for him on this ship and he’d luckily snagged a lot on his way.
Still, a sense of unease coiled in his stomach when within minutes of that first disturbance, there was another one.
"Hey."
A sharp rap on the top of the crate's lid was the only warning he got before it was lifted, putting him directly in the line of sight of the man he had talked to earlier, and a woman too. Her vibrant, long, red hair was tied up in a bun above her head and she looked down at him from behind a blonde fringe with a distinctly unimpressed expression.
"Stand up," she said.
Yukio wrinkled his nose and was tempted to defy the order, but decided he was better off on his feet. He stood, a frown firmly on his lips, but was somewhat satisfied to be a bit taller than the formidable looking woman in front of him.
“I’m not leaving this ship,” Yukio said firmly. “So if you’re going to ask me that, the answer is no.”
"Ha! Well, aren't you gutsy. Or perhaps just an idiot. You're hardly in the position to be making that kind of demand, you realize," the woman said as she rested one of her hands on her hip and took in the sight he made in the clothes he had borrowed. She lifted one eyebrow at him.
"Tell me. Why shouldn't I simply just throw you overboard, or better yet, draw the attention of the pain in the ass head of security that's anchored right outside our ship? You'd make a very efficient distraction to get him off our backs."
Yukio sneered at the threat as he scrambled through his brain for a possible out. But then, the man behind her shook the golden bracelet he had handed him and Yukio was reminded of the resolution he’d come to terms with already.
He reached into the leather purse at his side and pulled out a ring dotted with sapphires all around the band. He held it out.
“I’ll pay,” he replied.
The woman's eyes darted towards the ring. She didn't take it right off the bat. Instead, she stared at it contemplatively before finally reaching for it.
"This will buy you some time. But you'll have to sweeten the pot if you want us to keep quiet until we set course," she told him as she slipped the ring into one of her pockets.
At this, Yukio pulled out three antique gold coins. He showed them to her, but didn’t offer them just yet. “I’m staying on the ship and I want to speak with your captain once he arrives.”
Shura's lips twitched. "That so," she murmured thoughtfully. "Well, if you want to speak with him, you better keep your head down until he's ready to see you." She shifted her weight from one leg to the other as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"We've got another four sets of mouths to convince to keep quiet until then. Fork up enough of those to keep us all happy and I'll get you what you want. Until then, get back in that crate. I'll have someone drop you off somewhere where you'll be less likely to be found."
Yukio didn’t bother to negotiate further. They were pirates, thieves ruled by money. If it was a transaction they wanted, he had enough money to make it happen. So Yukio pulled out one of the smaller leather pouches, dropped the coins into it, and handed it over to her.
“Make sure they know who gave it to them and we have a deal,” Yukio said as he crossed his arms. “I don’t want to be tossed overboard after I’ve already paid.”
At that, Shura smirked. "I'm afraid that's the price of doing business with pirates, Your Highness. But if you've got more of this up your sleeve, I'm sure we'll all agree to be very welcoming towards your stay. If you manage to convince the Captain, that is."
“Hmph.” Yukio lifted his chin. “I’ll convince him. You just pass the contents of that pouch to the crew and if they need an extra bit of convincing, they just need to know that my presence on this ship will be more lucrative for you than not. A successful voyage will see your reward grow sevenfold easily.” He was improvising, but he wasn’t exactly lying. He knew Rin would be more than happy to reward any crew who brought him back safely.
And the woman in front of him seemed to realize that as well. Or at the very least, she didn't seem interested in bartering further.
"Hmm, alright then. It's a deal." She pocketed the money Yukio had given her and turned towards her companion.
"Lightning, get the Lundstroms down here. And if you see our beloved Captain on his way back already, delay him. We'll need a little bit of time to get our guest nice and settled."

The answers to the other questions are under the read more because it ended up being very long.
4. Name a muse you have written in the past. What was your favorite thing about this muse?      I used to roleplay as Tsun from KHR and I really enjoyed playing him. The fact that he was so shy and scared, but also a bad ass when it came to protecting his friends? I love that type of character honestly.
5. Name a muse you wish to write in the future. What’s your favorite thing about this muse?      Hmm, I mean future muse I wanna add here is Morgiana. I used to write her before too and honestly I love that boss ass bitch. She is such a favorite character of mine.
6. How is your multimuse blog organised?      I dunno what this question means, but if I answer it the way I think it means. I think my blog is organized well enough? Like, my muses are by primary, secondary and requestable so I think it’s organized really well.
7. Do you have crossover verses for the muses on your blog?      No, but I’d be willing to write some! I’m just lazy and have like basic verses for all my muses until I need to make a new one.
8. Which of your muses deserves better?      All of them. No, but seriously I feel Naomi does. She got the short end of the stick all because a man and that’s why I have her being so canon divergent because I know she deserves better!
9. Which of your muses do you most identify with? Why?      Uh... UHHHH... Maybe Aimatia? Actually, Mitsuri. We’re both kinda air headed sometimes, but we love to compliment our friends and show them so much love, but we find it hard to see the good in ourselves sometimes.
11. Do you have any original characters on your multimuse? If so, tell us something more about them.      Aimatia!!! I was worried about adding her, but honestly so glad I did. Aimatia was my first oc ever made and we’ve been through so much together. She is honestly my baby and I’m so happy people seem to like her!
12. How many muses are you currently writing?      9 muses so far, but I’m weak and will probably add more.
13. In how many fandoms are you currently active?      8, since Aimatia is a fandomless oc and just exists everywhere.
14. What is your favorite fandom to write in? Why?      Hmmm, Death Note I think has become a favorite. I’ve met some really nice people here and honestly exploring Naomi’s character is so much fun!
15. What is a fandom you wish to write in one day?      Hmmmmm... In/Spectre honestly, but I don’t think there’s a fandom for that just yet. It’s such a good anime though.
16. What is a fandom you used to write in in the past?      Blue Exorcist! I used to rp as Renzou.
17. What is your favorite thing when you decide to add a new muse to your blog/when you decide to make a new blog?      Writing their about pages honestly. My about page style is simple and stuff, but each one is different and I have fun writing them up and then thinking up new headcanons for these characters.
18. Share an opinion you have about multimuse blogs.      When I was younger I used to be scared of them, but now I really enjoy them and have so much respect for other multimuse blogs. It’s so much work, but honestly so much fun.
19. Does your multimuse blog have a theme? Do the muses on your blog have something in common?      They’re all cute girls I love. HONESTLY, THAT’S THE THEME I HAVE AND I DIDN’T MEAN IT TO BE A THEME LOL.
20. What is the story or explanation behind your blog name?      I go by Queenie, so royalty and I’m writing so written and.. Yeah it’s not very clever.
21. Share a positive experience about multimuses you’ve had in the past.      I don’t remember my past rp time on Tumblr much, but currently I love rping with multimuses!! Legit give me all your muses and I shall love them.
22. List some of your favorite multimuse blogs.      @latibullc, @feraliix, @foliateface, @otomates, @kyrso, @galaxythixf, @theoriesoflove, @tclesnmirrors, @rcyalskies, @sakuwai, @detectiive, @protectorrs ( Honestly every single multimuse I follow though. )
23. Tag a multimuse blog and write some positivity about them (their blog, their muses, etc.)      @latibullc IT’S HARD TO PICK ONE, BUT I’LL PICK FATAL BECAUSE HONESTLY I LOVE OUR BABIES!!! They’re so cute together and honestly I wanna rp with more of their muses!! Like give me them all, give them to me now.

Honestly if you asked Renzou it was all very simple. There was only one reason to do literally anything ever: because you wanted to. Eating, sleeping, loving, living, even dying: everything was a cycle of selfish needs and wants that only one’s self had any power over. Once he had thought that all that shit like blood obligations and expectations was a pain in the ass, and while that sentiment still hadn’t changed much, Renzou had come to realise that life was something to be taken completely into his own hands if he wanted it to be enjoyable. Which meant to be responsible for his own decisions after all. He knew he was scum of society. But did he care? As long as he lived an exciting life, he didn’t care who he trampled on in the path, what emotions he might have stepped upon, for in the end there was only one real reason to it all: “don’t you do it because it’s fun?”

First off: Do not reblog this. I was nice enough to leave a few personals in my followers list, don’t make me regret it. This meta is mainly for me to kind of get things straight in my own head.
Like with every single post where I try putting my thoughts into words, this is gonna be rambly and go every which way. Read if you want or don’t.
Mephisto is... such a stupidly complicated character. And he, I think, more than any character within this series, is so ridiculously open to interpretation by each and every single individual who sees him. Frankly, I don’t think any of us who aren’t Kazue Kato will every really come to capital T Totally understand him or his motives for his actions.
Not long after chapter 109 dropped, someone in the big fandom Discord server started talking about how they were worried/believed Mephisto is actually some big bad antagonist hiding in plain sight. And yea, I can see where one might get that idea. Mephisto isn’t exactly subtle. He drives home the point that he’s a demon. He shouldn’t be expected to act human?
Let me just... Try to break things down. Both so I myself can get a grasp on things and so that others here might as well.
Mephisto isn’t tied down by our human bullshit. Moral and emotions and fear of consequences for actions taken. He seems very much like a “The ends always justify the means” type. He takes action. Actions humans are too weak to take for themselves.
In chapter 66 Mephisto says that he was testing everyone.
Yes, everyone is a piece in “his game”. He had a hand in each and everyone one of their lives which lead them all to where they are. As I said before in other posts (that I believe I’ve deleted because personals reblogged them or something) Mephisto can’t actively control people. He can’t reach into their heads and make them do exactly what he wants. They have to do things of their own accord.
Do people just not understand that there is no such thing as "right and wrong", "good and bad"? They're strictly human consumpts and mean nothing at all outside of humanity. Which Mephisto, and others, clearly state time and time again that he is. It's like- You can't DO that. You can't simultaneously shun Mephisto from your kind and your world yet still expect him to act according to your moral and ethical principles!
Like when Rin tells Mephisto that he can't treat people like that in chapter 66- I really just. "You can't, what with your “consciences" and all that-" He's the only one that's willing and able to do the shit that needs to be done in order to get the best possible outcome for humanity.
Humans always want to try and find the easy way out. The safe way out. Mephisto doesn't. He sees what needs to happen and does his best to guide people down that path, all the while planning ahead who knows how many steps in order to always be able to counteract the fact that humans are so fucking self-destructive. Just as likely to be working against their best interests as for them if they perceive things one way or another. And he may not have emotions like humans do, but he sure as hell knows how they work.
Like, he was around humans even before breaking off from Lucifer and founding the Order. If there were ever a master of human physiology, it would be Mephisto. He’s lived and worked closely with humans for over two hundred years now, and again was around them even longer before that. He knows what makes them tick, knows how to look for and study and use all their little triggers and ticks and thought processes and use them to get what he needs out of them. Everything is fine-tuned to each person.
Like the way, he overworks Yukio to the point he betrays his only living family and his friends. Things were piled and piled and piled on top of him until he finally broke under the weight of it all. Without that happening, Rin would have never fully awakened (well he would but it wouldn't be at the right time), and wouldn't be in the past learning everything Yukio was just plain too desperate to know. He’s consumed by it. By the need for knowledge and now, power. Because for whatever ridiculous reason he sees himself as weak and useless when, frankly, he’s not.
And on that note of Rin being in the past- When he saw his newborn self start murdering people straight out of the friggin’ womb- I firmly believe that this is going to be important to Rin’s character development. We saw that, way back in Kyoto, Rin somewhat starting to acknowledge his demon-ness. No, he didn’t ask to be born. Didn’t ask to be born the way he was. But he is here and he’s going to make the best of it. Mephisto is, I believe, pushing this acceptance of himself along. Showing Rin that, yea, he started out as this way, but look what he is now. That little fire-clad baby chewing a mans face off is now the teenage boy who would, and has, put his life on the line to save his friends.
When Demon!Rin started breaking through whatever little pocket dimension Mephisto stuffed Rin’s demon heart into, did he just let it happen? No. He let him throw his little fit for a couple seconds then popped him back in his time-out corner. Then stuffed Rin in a corner of his own to chill out and get a grip on himself again.
While still on this note, it’s safe to say Rin isn’t actually spending all those years watching Shiro and Yuri grow up. He’s been bouncing back and forth between points in time- Possibly even beyond Mephisto’s control, as we saw him be surprised at one point that the started out in one year, went forward five (Don’t quote me on that), and then went back again.
And he’s still not seen the reason he and Yukio were allowed to live. What made Shiro go from “I’m going to save Yuri by killing her monster children” to “That boy is MY son”, so I think time is possibly frozen at the point where Rin started losing control of his emotions and gets locked away to chill for a while and get them back under control. Which is the whole reason Mephisto sent him back in time in the first place? He even said to himself.
That “The reality that your brother must accept isn’t the past. The past what you must accept”. Rin needs to fully accept himself for who and what he is if he actually wants to be of any use. Wasn’t that the whole overarching point in the Kyoto sage? He couldn’t draw his sword and use his flames until he stopped fearing them?
There’s also the other character arcs- Where we saw that Mephisto got to Renzou before the Illuminati did, and knew full well that he would be a spy not only for the Order, for but for the Illuminati as well once they did get to him. And there’s Izumo- It’s probably safe to assume that the blonde woman who got Tsukumo (her little sister) out of the Inori lab was one of the Order’s other spies Mephisto talks about. Mephisto put her in a safe place without telling Izumo because it would likely impede her own growth. He knew about her past, knew where she was taken, knew what was going to happen to her, and yet sent the gang out to rescue her all on their own. And with Yukio leading, too. Putting him in charge of their safety.
I got off point again, I’m sure, but when talking about Mephisto- I feel it’s important to provide context. Or maybe I’m just rambling like an idiot and wasting everyone's time.
Mephisto isn't "good", because that doesn't exist But he's sure as hell far from "bad", because doesn't exist either. He’s an asshole. An annoying, creepy, cryptic little bastard, who by his own admission “knows everything”, yet never tells anyone anything until he sees fit or just not at all. Letting them find things out for themselves.
When Rin got all up in Mephisto’s face in chapter 66, Mephisto was nearly fed up with him. It’s not HIS fault Rin can’t see the bigger picture in things. It’s not HIS fault humans have their ridiculous senses of right and wrong. And Mephisto lets his irritation show by quoting one of the last things Shiro said to Rin on the day he died.
Tumblr media
A dick fucking move, right? Stabbing a knife straight through one of Rin’s weakest sore spots? Rin kind of deserved it, really. Getting all up in Mephisto’s face like he did, flames and all, going on about how evil Mephisto COULD be, and why he should listen to him in the first place, never listening to him when Mephisto tells him that he is not their enemy.
And when kid Shiro also got all hands-y with Mephisto- Telling him how one day he’d tear out Mephisto’s throat with his teeth. Which- Fair, right? Shiro grew up in an awful place and suffered through things that no one should. Yet Mephisto still told him the truth of it. How Shiro was creatated by Mephisto for a purpose and one way or another, and he can make all the threats and promises he wants, but he’s still going to fulfill that purpose. Which he does in the end. Oh, he killed and killed and killed demons, became Paladin- But in the end, he was a sacrifice to a demon. A sacrifice to Satan to save the life of a child he once vowed to kill and instead raised as his own. He was also a sacrifice to make Rin draw his sword and start this whole adventure.
It’s so easy to look at Mephisto through the eyes of an ignorant, simple-minded human. To take him and his actions at face value. But when you try to look past that, I think, the picture becomes more clear.
Again, no, Mephisto isn’t “good”. He’s no Arthur, he’s no Rin, he’s Mephisto. He’s a “person” using his means and his skills to ensure the continuation of the human race. Yea, those methods are cruel. He has done and will continue to do horrific and inhumane things to people. But they have their purposes. Without what happened to Shiro, how he came to be and what he went through, he would not have been the man he was. You know that “You must simply live on” quote he said to Shura? It came from knowing life will constantly chew you up and spit you out, but it’s important to roll with the punches and make the best out of the scars they leave behind.
Without awakening and watching the only father he’s ever known die right before his eyes, without Yukio shooting and basically (down right) killing him, Rin would not be in the past right now, learning the why of it all. Yukio, too, would not be own his path of self-discovery/acceptance. The jury is still out on what exactly he’s going to find while in the Dominus Liminis.

This is the last thing in my inbox so yall can spam me while i do homework lol.
Twins + kyoto trio love confession:
Tumblr media
Yukio:
Tumblr media
Lol good luck, you better have the patience of a god.
Because this man will take a LONGG ass time before he confesses.
You also gotta have patience for yukio's bullshit for him to fall for you.
Supporting him through his mood swings, his anxiety, his irrational decisions, his trust issues, and his self contempt. You need to spend alot of time doing this before he's actually comfortable enough to confess.
He'll probably have loved you for a long time but procrastinates on confessing because he has a hard time expressing his feelings into words. So his when he confesses, it's going to be simple and straight forward.
Is very tender and kind when saying it.
Confesses privately at a classroom or even shiro's grave area.
" i love you y/n, thank you."
Rin:
Tumblr media
One would think that rin is opposing to yukio by confessing early but I don't think that's actually the case.
It takes quite sone time before rin to realize he's in love, he's kinda oblivious sometimes.
Definitely falls for innocence and strength.
He'd say he 'likes you" but he comes to realize that he's got a fever that isn't what one would call a crush.
Much like yukio, it takes time to put how he feels into words. He just doesn't take as long as yukio to confess.
Will be a mess when confessing, stuttering and blushing.
Public confession, like in front of the exwires before the semester ends.
"y/n...i take it back when i said i liked you...because i love you!"
Ryuji:
Tumblr media
Out of all these boys, ryuji is the fastest when it comes to confessing love, he'd confess before he's even in a relationship.
Ryuji falls in love really fast.
Ryuji falling for his s/o would be similar to when he "Fell into admiration" for lewin.
When ryuji falls in love, he puts a lot of effort to give a impression to his crush that he's "Mr.right" by using his skills and wits, he'll even get boastful(pretty typical for a leo lol).
But don't go thinking that ryuji is easy to get just because he falls in love so quickly.
Because his expectations are really high, a little too high.
Ryuji is not the type to bottle up his feelings, he wants to but he just can't, he's so emotional.
So his confession is passionate, a little aggressive and possibly even melodramatic.
Confesses privately in a classroom after school, totally first love and high school shojo aesthetic.
"Can't you see y/n? I LOVE YOU!"
Renzou:
Tumblr media
Renzou would probably take just as long to confess as yukio.
He just doesn't feel like it's the right time, knowing that he's in the illuminati as a spy.
He feels like being in a relationship with his crush would make them vulnerable to the dark side of his job as a spy.
Fears the idea of messing up and having his crush dragged into trouble.
But he doesn't quit, he loves being a spy, probably as much as much as he loves his s/o. It kinda conflicts him.
So he comes to the conclusion this his crush shouldn't fall in love with him at all.
Because he thinks that he doesn't deserve to love in the first place.
Use pervy jokes and teasing as a way to hide the fact that he has serious feelings for them.
Will protect his s/o no matter what, but in the most subtle and sneaky ways.
Confesses somewhere chaotic, like in a middle of a battle or a natural disaster.
"I know you think this is probably lame but...I love you."
Konekomaru:
Tumblr media
Koneneko is such a caring mommy when he's in love.
But also so much more talkative and playful.
He's definitely loving someone that makes him feel safe and comfortable.
And definitely falls in love with someone that makes him feel strong.
He'll be a little afraid to express his feelings but he'd be more open about them anyway.
Will ask his kyoto brothers for love advice.
When he finally gets the balls to confess, it will be private in a beautiful area like a garden or a beach.
His confessing is sweet but awkward.
" y/n, I've been thinking about us a lot, and I'm not afraid to say it anymore that i love you"
