Madara Uchiha (Naruto) Chapter 10

Walking back to Madara’s place that afternoon is very interesting. Your intention was to merely stop by and pick up the clothing you’d left there overnight.

In a lot of ways you just needed to get out of the house. Hashirama was having his little pity parties every few seconds and Tobirama’s glare could split a mountain in half. You’re so invested in your thoughts that you barely process that you’re standing at his door.

“Are you having second thoughts?”

It’s an observation from Madara. You blink, looking up. His back is facing you, hand on the door knob.

“If you decided that this was all a mistake, I would respect that.” His hand tightens on the knob, and he pulls it open quickly, stepping inside. You follow, closing the door. He still doesn’t look at you.

“Would you give up on me, just walk away?”

“I would if that’s what would make you happy.”

There he goes again.

“What about what makes you happy?”

“That’s not-”

You hug him from behind, and his body tenses.

“You’re not responsible for my happiness Madara. It’s selfless of you to live so willingly for someone else. But the moment that becomes a hindrance to your own happiness, then it’s no longer worth it. I’m old enough to deal with certain things. So for once, I want you to be selfish. What do you want, Madara?”

His shoulders sag, and you pull back as he turns slowly.

“I want you.”

Color adorns your cheeks, and you play with your fingers.

“Alright then.”

You liked the more honest side of him. You send him a smile. He steps closer and that blush darkens when his palm rests on your cheek. You almost jump at the contact.

“M-Mada-”

You only manage a squeal. His lips are on yours in a matter of seconds. Madara pushes you to the door, and you grip at the shoulder of his sleeve as you fight to regain your breath. His lips are moving so desperately against your own that it’s making your knees weak. Your brows knit together.

His breathing is staggering, Every time he parts to gather a breath, his lips return with just as much need. Your fingers gravitate to his long hair and you tug, Madara moans, nibbling at your lips. You open your mouth unconsciously, and he swallows up the little gasp you let out.

Nothing could have truly prepared you for this moment. In a lot of ways you’ve anticipated it. But it is crazy how much better reality is. All those years of pining had led to this.

This time when Madara pulls back, he’s panting. So are you. Your head falls on his shoulder, still trying to regain some control over your body. You need more than a few moments. Madara runs a hand through your hair, closing his eyes as he inhales deeply, hugging you closer.

“I’m..sorry..”

It’s a mumble, he’s still a bit breathless.

“It’s alright..”

How could you ever be mad at something like this? You’d completely forgotten the reason you came in the first place.

“That was my first.”

He’s relieved. The thought of someone else kissing you, touching you, it’s not something he likes.

“I’ll try..to be more selfish.”

You smile at the bashful way he says it.

“Sensei is a Tsundere.”

“I’M NOT!!”

What great progress.

Madara Uchiha (Naruto) Chapter 7

“I screwed up.”

He lectured himself a million times to avoid being impulsive. But he’d failed miserably. His eyes drift to the window. The soft droplets hitting the glass.

“It’s raining..”

The memories that followed were ones he treasured.

“Come on we’re gonna get yelled at again, hurry up!!”

“I’m going as fast as I can Dara-kun!”

You were running behind him, but it’s obvious he has an advantage. When the rain began to fall, his frown deepened. The sound of thunder erupting made you flinch, and Madara only turned when he realized you were no longer following behind.

“(Y-Y/N)!!” He cursed, looking left and right.

“Damn it Tobirama’s gonna kill me.”

He rushed back, stopping at a small shed. Behind the chair, you were kneeling, hands over your ears. You were trembling. Not from the rain that left you drenched, but the echoing of another loud boom in the sky. Madara walked over carefully.

“Hey, it’s just noise, quit being a baby.”

“I-I’m not a baby!! I’m already ten years old!!” You wore a defiant look, which changed immediately at the flash of lightning, followed by another blast of thunder. You buried your face into your knees crying.

Madara dropped to his knees, moving closer.

“Never really seen her cry before.”

You were more of a free spirit. Even that time you’d fallen off the tree, you’d pretty much brushed it off with a grin. He didn’t understand why this was something you feared. He reached out, and you jumped. When you looked up, your tearful gaze tugged at his heart. You sniffed.

“I-I’m scared Dara-kun..”

You were sobbing softly and Madara bit his lip. He dropped down, sitting as he pulled you into a hug. You’d tumbled right into his chest and Madara held on, looking directly at you.

“I promise I’ll never let anything hurt you (Y/N). If the thunder gets here I’ll beat it up!”

Your little eyes looked so hopeful.

“Dara-kun, you can fight thunder?”

“Yep! Watch this! HEY THUNDER, YOU’RE A BIG BAKA!!”

You giggled, and Madara grinned.

“See, it's scared of me.”

The fear you once showed was changing to awe.

“I didn’t know you were so strong Dara-kun. Sugoi..”

You looked completely astonished. Madara couldn’t stop the blush that littered his cheeks. He turned his head in the opposite direction.

“O-Of course. I’m an Uchiha after all. Thunder is nothing.” You hugged his chest with the brightest smile.

“I’m really glad we’re friends, Dara-kun. You’re amazing. I don’t want to marry Hashi-ni anymore. I want to marry you Dara-kun!” His face exploded in red.

“W-What are you saying!!”

“You said you were going to protect me forever, remember. If we get married we can be friends forever!” You cheered.

Madara’s eyebrow twitched. He wanted to yell at you for making such a childish statement, but at that moment you looked so cute that he lost his nerve.

“Do you not want to marry me?” You looked ready to cry again.

“O-Okay fine I’ll marry you!!”

You smiled.

“You can’t break your promise Dara-kun, you have to marry me.”

“She’s always been good at making me look like an idiot.”

He sighed, a small smile on his lips.

“Baka.”

Madara smiled, pressing his hands to the glass.

“Friends forever huh.”

It was naive. You were both children back then. He knew for a fact that you’d long forgotten that promise. But he never forgot. How could he? Maybe it was at that point that you became more than just his best friend’s annoying sister. You followed him everywhere. As a kid he’d gotten used to it. He never thought that would change. Or rather he hoped it wouldn’t.

The harsh knocks on his door broke his focus. It was already after dark. So it could only be one person. He schooled his features ready for the contempt he would face from Tobirama. Moving to the door, he opened it.

“Sensei…”

His eyes grew wide.

There you stood, completely drenched.

Just like that day.
