A new book that explores narrative jewelry is coming and includes an incredible roster of artists making work that tells a story. Narrative Jewelry was written by my colleague and friend, Mark Fenn, and I am very pleased to be a part of it. The book will be available in October.

I done finished a sketch book! Front to back, both sides of every page :) It’s odd to think that just 60 sides of paper kept me going for the best part of a year, I’d have thought I’d use them much faster, although it is packed pretty dense. Looking back on old sketchbooks now they look so empty! Today in “small details completely changing the whole thing”! After the successful test yesterday I spent my day (well, the bit of the day I wasn’t moping around trying to motivate myself) reworking the shield plates so they fit the contours of the waist and belt better. . I loved the way they looked but they look SO much better like this! Not only are they a lot more visually interesting and physically comfortable, but I have now nailed the finish of these so that is another improvement. .
