Okay, but the hottest thing in all of Halo was Buck, seeing one of men wounded and cornered by one of the most revered classes of Jiralhanae, immediately and without hesitation jumps on its shoulders and goes for CQC.
Imagine saving Blue Team or Naomi with that trick?
I seriously went back to play Halo ODST so I could get this scene also thank you for including Naomi, 'cause the brainrot is real.
Naomi is stressed when she sees you jump onto the Jiralhanae, her instincts scream at her to intervene, but before she can even process her next move, you are already grappling with the foe in a deadly dance of close-quarters combat.
Naomi's hands clenched into fists as she watched, her mind torn between fear for your safety and admiration for your bravery. She knew she needed to help, and with a swift, calculated strike, she landed a solid blow to the Jiralhanae's jaw, staggering it momentarily.
With a swift motion, you plunged a combat knife into the creature's neck delivering that final hit. So, it turns into a team effort to finish the Jiralhanae off. Despite the searing pain of her own bleeding wounds, her primary concern was for your well-being and she swings her helmet in your direction, asking if you're alright or hurt.
With Blue Team, John's not prepared to see you jump onto the Jiralhanae's back and it takes him a second to react as you engage in CQC with it. While it's distracted, John ends up copying your move and stabbing his knife into its neck before you kick the creature off the side of the building.
She might not admit this to your face, but Kelly has a small fangirl moment. If you didn't have her respect before, you do now. Girl's already shrugging off her wound and jumping back into the fight when you engage in CQC, Kelly wasn't going to let you have all the fun.
Fred's kinda of surprised and it takes him a moment to register the scene of the Jiralhanae trying to wrestle you off its back. His knives already arching across the air and sinking into its shoulder by the time you jump off, you end up taking the same knife and shoving it into the Jiralhanae's throat while it turns its attention back to Fred.
Linda hardly reacts but she's impressed, not anyone would jump in to help a Spartan, much less jump onto a Jiralhanae to redirect its attention. Before you even start CQC, Linda has already taken her shot and the Jiralhanae falls off the building side.
