worst feeling in the fucking world when the fandom falls victim to the delusions/lies that the character's feed themselves and than those lies are taken to be the True Essence of the characters
like i just finished rereading assassination classroom (for maybe the fifth time?) and focusing on karma + nagisa cus theyre my faves and like theyre fucking liars!!! ik its basically a dead fandom now so most of the content ive been looking at is years old at this point but like they would be sooooo happy to know accurate grasps of their characters are near nonexistent.
like karma WANTS you to think he's a cool genius lone wolf who only cares about his own abilities!! meanwhile basically every single action he takes in the second half of the manga proves each of those traits to be false outright!!!
like hes (sort of) a team player! he knows everyones strengths! hes thinking about other ppls feelings when it comes to the assassination! he's been putting in insane amounts of effort since he failed that one final!
nagisa WANTS you to believe that he's a fully selfless, weak, support player while being pretty much the exact opposite!! but he doesnt work in a team he works best alone! literally w express permission to work fully solo during the war arc! he wasnt thinking of how everyone else felt during his proposal to save korosensei! he wanted to be the one to kill korosensei (somewhat selfishly)!!
the narrative foils are narratively foiling and no one wants to give it the proper respect it deserves smh.

You know, considering Karma and Nagisa literally got distracted by each other in a life or death situation
And they're pretty touchy feely with each other in 365 days at least
Imagine how annoying these two assholes are with PDA. It's probably maybe slightly intentional on Karma's part (is a nuisance in general, would get some kind of enjoyment from disturbing others) but I also allege he's a bit of a simp. Nagisa just innocently abandons his judgement. I envision 'bickering that's really just obvious flirting' accounting for most of it but still. Touchy feely stuff. They'll end up turning the rest of 3E homophobic (/j).

Moments that make me love Karasuma
Dude has a look on his face right at the start says he's gone from "I didn't want this assignment" to "Guess I'm a dad now"
"yes, they're totes adorable. But put them away, this is supposed to be a secret!"
"it's a teacher's job to prepare you for life, not force you into it."
class dad elbows Takaoka in the face.
Takes that poison gas in the face for his kids and manages to not only stay conscious but also mainly standing.
When they're using codenames, he says each one with complete conviction.
speaking of codenames....Da Densest
His reaction to meeting the Reaper is just "Oh yeah, Lovro mentioned you."
Doesn't even hesitate to say saving the world isn't worth the kids being collateral damage.
when he gives Irina the rose.
"nagisa's mother just apologized to me. Something about trying to burn down the campus?"
The totally hamfisted way he asks Irina to move in with him.
