"uh, fascinating way to tell us that ur dating, guys. cool." bc they all think that it was an intentional grand reveal and not sungchan royally fucking up them keeping it a secret [not canon but hilarious to imagine]

Are you excited about tonight and tomorrow bachelor finale? I heard that alums think that it will be the most dramatic finale in franchise history and it will rival all others. i don't believe it's going to blow every finale out of the water. LMAO. the alumni are being ridiculous. i AM excited to see claydough get dumped. and i'm not sorry about it. Like If I’m Rachel and Gabby and you slept w me to “test our sexual chemistry” and yet the one who wasn’t giving you any cookies is still the one you say want most? And ALWAYS wanted most as you took me to bed and screamed, ILY? Oh I’m cussing you out, but that’s just me.

IT BETTER BE DRAMATIC, ANON. I DESERVE IT.

(Unclear if any finale could beat Arie with how godawful uncomfortable it was. I have never been more on the edge of my seat during this show than that. Not in a good way though)

I've calmed down a bit since last week, though I'm still frustrated with the way everything went down. I want tonight to be dramatic but not frustrating, because after last week & Love Is Blind, I'm very over reality shows. I couldn't even watch the new regency-era based Bachelor knockoff that I was so excited about.

Also, I think my week last week didn't help how upset I got over the episode. It was a very stressful week and it honestly hasn't gotten better lol so I'm sort of dreading tonight. Like I'm already stressed & upset about personal things and now I have to watch THIS STUPID SHOW? And I have to do it all without my Bachelor bff because she's away on a work trip and I have to live text her what's happening while she's at a business dinner.

And so because I've had a week to think about it and I'm TRYING to be a bit more diplomatic, here's where I land regarding last week's episode:

1) yes, Susie probably should have brought up how important sex was to her, but also... is that solely on her? Why isn't it also up to Clayton to tell her how important sex is to him (in the opposite way, that he thinks sex is important to a relationship and so he wants to explore that with all of them, which is fine). Either way, it probably should have been brought up prior to the fantasy suites.

2) I wonder if Susie was prompted a lot by producers. Like maybe she wasn't THAT dead set against it until they got in her head. I wouldn't be surprised. I've also heard it posed that she didn't say anything as a sort of test to Clayton, which I hate the idea of because it really reinforces the manipulative woman stereotype, but... it also could be true (whether she was aware she was doing it or not)

3) I do NOT think Clayton was gaslighting her, which I do feel the need to bring up because when I posted the texts between my bach bff and I, she did use that word while we were both live reacting and very upset. I haven't rewatched the episode, but I don't think it actually applies. I still don't like how he responded, but I don't think it was gaslighting and I want to be clear on that because I think that word gets thrown around a lot. Same with "abusive".

4) I still sort of think he used the I love you's as a get out of jail free card. He said them so deliberately to all 3 women, even using some of the same language & phrasing to do it. With Rachel & Gabby, he turned around and yelled that he loved them as he walked away the next morning in like... the same exact way lol. And then his "I knew something like this would happen", he clearly understood that some of the women might not be ok with it, but thought "well I love them too, just a bit less than you" would get him out of it. Again, this is a theory and maybe not something he knowingly did, but... still

5) I sort of wish the conversation between Susie & Clayton hadn't been focused on the sex part. I don't even think that's the biggest deal breaker (though maybe it is for Susie). The fact is, he still told all 3 women that he loved them while knowing he could only pick one, knowing he HAD to break two of their hearts. And again, it was a decision he made, he did not blurt the words out. He made grand speeches.

6) no matter how this was handled and how it went down, it seems like Clayton and Susie don't have compatible views on some things and it's probably best they aren't together.

7) Still completely blindsided that it was apparently Susie? I swore it was Rachel.

8) there's no way Rachel or Gabby could get past this. Even if they're both totally fine with the sex stuff (which I think Gabby is), how do you get past him saying he loves all of you, but he loves the one that isn't you more? I don't think there's a way past it, tbh

9) Gabby for Bachelorette, please. PLEASE.

Gilderoy Lockhart x Healer!reader

summary: After helping Gilderoy deal with his memory loss and get him out of St. Mungo's, you couldn't help but fall for his charm once more when he finds you on the streets of London.

a/n: I THOUGHT I QUEUED THIS 💀 i sat here at work thinking 'damn, no one liked my post? k 😭' anyways, i'm gonna break this into two parts before it gets too long lmao. bold italics are flashbacks

You worked with a certain celebrity for quite a while now. He was brought in one day without knowing who he was, where he came from, and how he ended up in a weird cave. His residence at St. Mungo’s where you worked lasted for a while. Other Healers declared that there was no way to recover his memory, but he didn’t seem to mind. Gilderoy was perfectly content with being happy and healthy even if he didn't know what was going on.

He was so sweet. Never gave you or any of your colleagues any trouble. He took his potions with ease, didn't make a fuss when bringing him from one room to another, and held conversations as normal. His family would visit him on occasion and it pained you to watch him not know them. But overall, he was happy.

After two years at St. Mungos, Gilderoy was let go considering that even though his memories were gone, he had enough mental stability to be out in public. Gilderoy had to go to a private academy to re-learn magic basics in adult classes. You remember the night before he left.

“So nice to start my life tomorrow,” Gilderoy had his signature smile on. He ate his dinner on his own without the help of Healers.

“Your life has already started, you just don't remember is all,” you corrected. You were preparing his bed for the last time. Since it's his last night, you were able to grab an extra pillow for him to be comfortable.

“Yes, but tomorrow I'll start a life I can remember. I'll make new memories.” Gilderoy stood up from his small table and walk to his hospital bed. He always loved the way you prepared his bed. How you fluffed the pillow, folded the blankets back neatly, and made sure the bed was warm. It wasn't special treatment as you did it for all patients, but he appreciated it all the same.

“Good night, Miss Y/L/N,” he said.

“Good night, Mr. Lockhart,” you replied.

Two years later, you're still working at St. Mungos. You've seen patients come and go since then. None quite as cooperative as Gilderoy, but they weren't all bad either.

The London streets were busy as usual today. It was slightly cloudy, but luckily it wasn't raining. And thank Merlin because you didn't have an umbrella with you. Cabs were driving right past you as you stood by the sidewalk trying to catch one. Once one stopped in front of you and you were about to climb in, another hand also grabbed for the handle. “Miss Y/L/N?”

Gilderoy stood next to you, eyes gleaming and wore his charming smile. He looked as happy as he always did. “Mr. Lockhart, hello.” It was a pleasant run in, and you'd love to chat but you had to be at work soon. It seemed that he noticed your uniform as well. “Oh, go ahead. I'll call for another one.”

“Thank you, Mr. Lockhart.” You opened the door but before you could close it, Gilderoy said one last thing. “I hope to see you again!” He waved at you as you left and kept at it until you were out of sight.

His wish was granted three months later; he was walking around the same street for probably the 4th time that week. He wasn't ashamed to admit that after that day he ran into you, he wanted to see you again. You were with a couple of friends at a pub one night celebrating a proper weekend off. Gilderoy followed you in, a bit of people that recognized him stopped him to say ‘hi’ but of course, he doesn't know them. They were fans of his before the memory loss. They took a few pictures and he went walking after you. You were seen sitting at a bar table by yourself waiting for your friends to come back from the restroom.

Gilderoy walked up to you slowly, “Hello, Miss Y/L/N.” You recognized him and by pure habit, you gave him your work smile and voice, “Good evening, Mr. Lockhart.”

“Please, call me Gilderoy,” he requested.

“Gilderoy,” you reached your hand out to shake his, “you can call me Y/N.” His smile changed, not one that you've seen in magazines and papers, but a more humble one. His cheeks became a bit rosy and he looked like he was flustered. “So, how have you been?” he asked. You took a quick sip of the water that was on the table before continuing the conversation, “I’ve been good! Just been working all the time. How about you? I bet so many great things have been going with you?”

“Not really. Since I didn't know much about my life before I was admitted in, I didn't know where to start. So I lived with my mother for a while, but now I’m on my own.” Seeing Gilderoy be so humble was a sight to see. A once self-centered, proud man has turned into a sweet, kind one. You almost wanted to thank whoever did this to him, not knowing it was actually Gilderoy who had accidentally done this to myself. “Well, are you working right now?” you asked him.

“No, I don’t really have anything to offer,” he looked down.

“That’s not true, you…” you stopped to think about what it was that Gilderoy could do. And unfortunately, it wasn't much. When word had gone out that he had actually stolen credit for all the things he had claimed to have done, people wondered if he was good at anything.

Gilderoy laughed at your blank expression. You felt bad. “Well, I’m sure you’re good at something.” You patted his shoulder gently across the table. Your friends came back from the restroom after what felt like twenty minutes. “Oh! It’s Gilderoy Lockhart, so nice to meet you,” each of them shook his hand. “What brings you here?”

Suddenly, he was embarrassed to say that he was spending weeks trying to find you. “Oh, I was just around. I walked inside and recognized Y/N. Thought I’d say hello,” he felt a bit nervous at that moment. “Well I best be going. I don't want to intrude. Have a good evening.” Gilderoy was about to leave until one of your friends called out for him, “No, stay! I’m sure Y/N would love to catch up with you, isn't that right?” You weren't sure if it would be appropriate to hang out with a former patient. Sure, it’s been a couple years since then, but you've never had any patients become even acquaintances, let alone friends. But the look in Gilderoy’s eyes that were basically begging you to say ‘yes’ hit something in you. “If you’re not doing anything else tonight, I'm sure we would like your company tonight.”

Gilderoy was funnier than he seemed to be. Being one of the Healers that worked with him for nearly four years, you never knew about this. He was telling the story of the first time he had used the levitation spell during his adult classes and he accidentally made his professor levitate and not the inanimate object on the table. Slightly tipsy, you and your friends laughed so hard trying to picture the situation. Gilderoy said he panicked and when he tried to let him down, the professor fell from ten feet in the air on his head and passed out. Luckily, he wasn't kicked out to the class but it was certainly something the professor never let him live down.

By the end of the night, your friends had gotten plastered and left for home. You were fine; your tipsy state was gone. You made sure your friends were set in the cab and told the cabbie their addresses. Gilderoy stood behind you and watched as you took care of your friends. It was different than when you worked, but it brought back memories when you took care of him.

When the cab drove off, you turned to look at the blond man. “Well, it was great seeing you, Mr. Lock– Gilderoy,” you quickly corrected yourself. You nodded and started walking down the street before he called for you again. “W-would you like to take a walk?” You thought about it, the same thought from earlier. But you've already shared a few drinks with him, so a walk wouldn't hurt. The sky was clear and although the stars were faint, there were a couple large ones that you could point out. You walked in silence for a couple minutes until you spoke up, “The weather’s nice.” He nodded quietly. It wasn't odd for him, but it was for you. It was odd to see him not as talkative as he used to be. You supposed that when you have your memories wiped, your personality could be affected as well. But he was still somewhat himself when he was a patient, so this change must have happened in the past two years. You hoped that nothing bad happened in that time.

It was getting later and later, but something about Gilderoy was different and you liked being around this sort of new him. He’s more inviting compared to how he was when he was a celebrity. The feeling of it being weird with him outside of work was gone, and something else started. You wanted to get to know him as a person again.

You checked the time on your wristwatch and decided that you should head home eventually. “It was nice seeing you tonight. I hope to see you again,” you grinned. His eyes lit up as he looked at you, “I would love that. Maybe we can have tea sometime?”

“I’d like that. Goodnight, Gilderoy.”

“Good night, Y/N.” He signaled a cab for you and like he did the last time, he waved until he couldn't see you anymore.

It's a bit of a fluff, but I was wondering if you could do the paladins w/ friend!reader constantly clutching onto their arm or hiding behind them out of fear or shyness? Lol. And and.. when they're really scared, they whimper a bit lmao. Also, reader and Pidge kinda just hold onto each other? Cuz they're both the shortest of the group lol. Ty!

In which the Reader is a Very Nervous Person

-Mod Rowan

PIDGE

-The first time something startles you and you basically dive behind her, she doesn't outwardly react.

-But on the inside she's nearly crying. Because hell yeah, her time has come!

-She's not used to being the one that others look to for protection when they're afraid. (She knows perfectly well that she can defend people just as good as the rest of the team, but like. From a physical standpoint, she's kind of nonthreatening and tiny.)

-So the first few times you hide behind her, she'll go out of her way to make sure you're safe. From kicking some scary alien's ass, to squishing a tiny spider in the bathroom.

-And she'll act all macho about it afterwards. Because who just saved you? PIDGE DID.

-Though as your scaredy-hidey thing becomes more of a routine, and she realizes that you're just a really, really nervous person, she'll puff up from your attention less and less. What was once "hell yeah, I'm a badass", has quickly turned into "who the FUCK had the audacity to scare Y/N?!"

-She just gets really protective over you, and will fight Anything.

HUNK

-He's used to being used as a shield, okay?

-He's tall. He's strong. He's sturdy. He’s kind. He's the perfect person to go to for protection.

-And we already know that he's good at defending people, especially those he cares about. It won't be any different for you. He'll protect you always, no matter what. (Especially if you're hidden behind him, clutching onto him for dear life, and on the verge of tears).

-(Because what the fuck, what kind of sick person would want to frighten you so much?)

-He'll also be really good at helping you calm down after being afraid. He'll sit with you, and distract you with interesting and pointless conversation (maybe he'll try and teach you how to fix little things, or will try and get you to teach him some of your skills).

KEITH

-He's hard to hide behind.

-He moves around a lot, okay? And if something's scared you, he's probably already halfway to stabbing it (or at the very least, already scoping out the potential threat).

-And on top of that, he's got really good instincts and a very quick reaction time. If there's an actual enemy around, he's noticed it and taken care of it long before you're able to get behind him.

-So really, the only time you'll ever actually get to hide behind him is when one of your friends plays a dumb prank and startles the shit out of you.

-In which case, Keith might smile a little at how sensitive you are, pat your shoulder gently, and remain near you for a while afterwards.

-Secretly he's like "protect Y/N at all costs"

LANCE

- "Don't worry babe, I'll protect you." insert dorky flirty lance face here.

-But no for real, if you're spooked about something mundane (like a sudden insect, or a Pidge Prank) then he'll definitely tease you a little bit, and will preen under your attention. He might not take those little fears very seriously.

-But if you're actually, genuinely frightened of something? You bet your ass he'll take care of you. He'll try to get you somewhere safer and away from the fight, but if there's nowhere to go, then he'll hold you close and shoot anyone who dares lay a hand on you.

-He's a goof, but he's a great friend.

-Afterwards, he'll want to make sure you're okay, and might keep an eye on you for a while (either until he's sure you're not hurt, or until you gently scold him for not believeing you when you told him you were fine).

-Probably pretty decent to hide behind, because he's a sniper, and is usually in a hidden spot during missions.

SHIRO

-Simultaneously both great and terrible to use as a shield.

-Great, because he's protective of his team, and will undoubtedly take care of you. Also because he's a beefcake so there is a lot of him to hide behind

-Terrible, because -like Keith- he moves around a lot to fight. If you try to hide behind him because you're scared of a very real threat, good luck keeping up with him to actually use him as a shield. (And if you try, you might end up getting hurt?? If you want to avoid stressing him out, it might be best to hide behind some boxes instead)

-He's also a terrible shield because if you're startled by something dumb, then he'll definitely make fun of you for it. Not in a mean way, but in a big-brother kind of way, that makes you want to laugh and pull his hair out at the same time.

ALLURA

-The first time you hide behind her, you're going mostly off instinct. At this point, you barely know Allura, so you're going off the gut feeling you have.

-And she's kind of just like "?????"

-And later asks you to explain your actions? Why did you nearly hide under her dress when a spider the size of your head crawled over your foot?

-You kind of just shrug, slightly embarrassed, and tell her that you hide behind people who make you feel safe. Please don’t make a big deal of it, Allura

-She goes from being slightly off-put, to being incredibly flattered. Congrats, you're now her favourite human.

-FRT, your trust in her helps your friendship blossom faster than it did with the other paladins. She appreciates that you look to her for protection, and in return she does her best to make sure that you're comfortable and safe. (even if it means keeping you out of the fights...which you're not entirely against)

-But once you've known each other for several months, she will definitely be the one who plays pranks on you to scare you shitless. It usually ends in you shrieking, laughing, and then throwing a pillow at her.

hi !! sorry i haven’t sent an ask in a while.. midterms have been kicking my ass <//3 anyways, slc has me on the edge of my seat. first of all, i love all the women aldjsjjs. lia is such a sweet girl ((i hope she doesn’t put herself down after the jake incident tho… yeah she shouldn’t have assumed and put him on the spot like that but she thought she was being helpful)) and ryujin… oh ryujin :’) i love her sm you don’t understand. just imagining her dancing to chivalry is dead w jake has me crying. i was literally obsessed w that choreo when it first came out lol. i just hope they all make up w each other after the party incident bc y/n needs a solid group of friends. i hope ryujin isn’t too mad at lia and is mostly just shocked w the situation bc damn.. sumin would have to deal w two pairs of quarreling roommates ajdjdj.

felix is such an interesting character. i feel like he definitely saw something more than those pics on hyunjin’s phone… maybe the convos between candy and chocolate? i wonder if he’s the reason why hyunjin and y/n were stuck in that room. idk lol.. he’s just seems to know everything and it’s sus to me haha. very much Cheshire Cat vibes w how he just appears to cause some chaos. I can’t judge hyunjin for being paranoid about him bc tbh I’d be the same way. like what kind of person has zero photos in their camera roll sjdjsnsn

i wonder what hyunjin meant by y/n destroying his family tho… im probably gonna reread the au just to see if there were any hints about this but hmm. i doubt she actually did anything directly bc she was just a kid. maybe his family was going through some problems and his mind didn’t know where to direct that anger to. kids are weird that way lol

lastly, id like to talk about seungmin. not to be a seungmin simp but i love him lmao. although he doesn’t really show it, he truly does care about his family and friends in his own way. he’s just so observant and shows his care in small ways that won’t be noticed unless you really look into it ig. like he named the family gc “Kim brothers 🐶” for goodness sake… that’s some cute shit right there. enough of my simping lol… is it obvious that my bias in skz is seungmin? anyways, i find it interesting that seungmin and felix seem kinda close… like those pics man 👀. not saying that he’s his partner in crime but that’s sus. but at the same time, seungmin seems to care about hyunjin so idk. that whole friend group in general is weird to me. might just be me but they seem to be friends out of circumstance instead of like whole besties. i mean, jisung always seems out of the loop and hyunjin is very closed off about his feelings. like why would he go on that anon app if he was 100% comfortable and close w his friends irl? even seungmin, who has known him the longest, feels like he needs to crack hyunjin’s shell. and felix is felix… just a whole ass anomaly that I want to learn more about lol.

the current situation with the group really is a bit complicated, it makes me sad. this is why in-circle relationships are always risky. who knows what'll happen to lia and ryujin's relationship— poor sumin 💀💀💀 i didn't even think about that, girlie is gonna end up sleeping on the couch or moving out atp.

yes, the phone thing huh~ he definitely has more than he let on, cmon, this is felix we're talking about. he made it seem like he found it, looked at the photos, and then gave it to seungmin but y'know~ who truly knows. felix just likes collecting things up his sleeve for no reason 💀

don't worry about the hyunjin part, it's the first time i ever dropped a big revelation about why he treats y/n as such. i'm gonna do it slowly but damn it's tempting to just drop it all at once 🙈. we're getting a few sneak peeks more into hyunjin's character as a whole, and i think so far, i'll be able to predict people's reactions to it, but idk, y'all always surprise me~

seungmin simp huh 🤧. for some reason, i'm REALLY REALLY good at writing side character seungmin (my seungmin fics are horrendous, no one should ever read them). but in all of my other fics that feature him as a side character?? 100% show stopping, incredible, steals the spotlight. ends up having the second lead syndrome bc of the readers. but then we circle back to the question from the very beginning: what is up with this friend group. although he does it in a weird way, seungmin seems to care a certain amount about the guys (given the way he wanted to crack hyunjin's shell, drunk words sober thoughts yeah?), and we all know that jisung is just #bestboy. hyunjin on the other hand is more of a tsundere with the way he values his friends (the pictures), while felix is... well, felix. he's the odd one out. i mean, if we all just take felix out of the picture, is it really a weird friend group? i doubt it. felix causes the syncopation within the dynamic—but at the same time, seungmin doesn't seem to mind his oddity.

and ofc! rambling is great. we finally have y/n being a bit sussy on candy's identity, she never would've thought that her secret chatmate is so close.
