Some One Piece fans keep comparing the final stages of the manga to Naruto’s... but I’m sitting here going.... It’s Star Wars. It’s going to be Return of the Jedi.
It is going to be a multi-front battle, the “rebels” are going to be split into two or more armies (land, sea, sky, space), and there is going to be a more-personal showdown in a “thrown room” between the heroes and the emperor.
The Cross Guild is gathering together splinter groups of Pirates under one flag. There is SWORD inside the Marines that are going to clean up from the inside. An actual Revolutionary Army, who’s leader is the main protagonist’s father... these forces could come together as a Rebel Alliance.
“That’s no moon, it’s a space station.” There is a lot to do about the Moons of the OP world happening right now... and people forget that there is more than one moon and people use to live on those moons. One of them even “created” the Red Line. They may have “created” the Ancient Weapons.  One of the ancient Weapons is satellite-like and may be even used as a base.
There is foreshadowing that the Red Line is going to be destroyed to create the All Blue... likely using these weapons all at once along with God-tier Devil Fruit users and awakened Logia Devil Fruit Users.... Hell, maybe that is the function of the One Piece, to combine the abilities of the ancient weapons into one that could bring down the Red Line.
*********************************************
A Blackbeard vs Shanks battle looks to be in the works, and prob happen before the final war, which could potentially take Shanks out of the picture or leave him realizing he’s going to need to make allies. Also all of this stuff with Xebec, Teach keeps messing with (if he actually revives Xebec, it would poetic that Rocks kills him).... Rocks fills the role of “Darth Vader” more than Teach anyways. (As Rocks does have a more personal connection with people like Garp (who ‘killed’ Rocks the fist time, and puts Garp in the Obi Wan role), and could be Dragon’s actual father, making him Luffy’s other grandfather... but as always, Luffy wouldn’t care)... and like Vader, Rocks could turn on Imu... We just don’t know Rocks’ personality)
Teach is more like the Jabba the Hutt of the story, he’s a major threat, has personal connections with some of the protagonists, but he’s the secondary villain to the greater threat that is the empire. He can’t be “turned” like other characters, like those joining/heading the Cross Guild, so he’s going to have to be taken out or he’ll end up a spanner in the works.  Teach also currently has Coby held “hostage”... just not in carbonite. (edit: now he has pudding too)
another direction is that Imu plays Blackbeard like a violin. Imu has some puppet master illusionist cryptid brain-melting power, and just flips Teach and his captains. Teach, like Rocks, gets 99% there to completing his goal, only to get slapped down at the end...  Teach might not even know about Imu. He shows up where the “empty” throne is and is all: “Zehahah! I am going to spread chaos across the whole world!’ (Imu, whom just came out of the bathroom): “No, you’re not.” “um... who are you?” “your master.” (brain zappy) “yes master.”
Maybe both? Teach gets beaten down by Luffy and/or Shanks, and Imu turns him into a puppet before he actually dies and his devil fruits could reincarnate. (this could work, if Teach is just a Rocks fanboy and Rocks never makes an actual physical appearance... being on an island that was shot by giant death lasers kind of means there isn’t a body around. Without Vegapunk on the side of the world government anymore, it is unlikely that Teach would be turned into a PX like Kuma was).
The main plot of OP is following similar lines to the Skypia arc... which involves a land that was split in two and needs to be reunited (all blue/red line), a godhead with overwhelming power(Enel = Imu), a lost golden city that explorers spent years trying to find (The One Piece), the person that found it was executed by his government (Noland = Roger). The Winged Races all came from the moons to settle on the planet (the Lunarians settled on the Redline, to be later displaced and destroyed by the Celestial Dragons). Enel destroyed his own home island (Imu is maybe from God Valley?)  Enel pretty much had his way until someone with high resistance to his powers showed up (Joyboy/Nika to Imu). Enel went onto a massive ship and left the planet (there are aliens in this world... so other earths exist. Imu may just fuck off to one of them instead of staying there after their defeat) Ended with a massive party.
The Main Plot isn’t going to stray too far. It would be like comparing Alabasta to Dressrosa or Thriller Bark to Wano.. there are structure similarities, but there are enough differences for each of them to stand on their own. I am fond of saying that Oda likes to reuse his plots but make them bigger. And i honestly think that Blackbeard is going to be dealt with right before the final war to topple the government happens. He may even be the person to kick it off. He isn’t the penultimate villain (and neither is Shanks ffs). Blackbeard is trying to follow in the path of Xebec, and Xebec wanted world domination (it is still possible that he just wanted to burn everything down to the ground and didn’t care how it was accomplished). Blackbeard is likely missing key pieces of information, and will end up failing, but starting off the fight with the government in the process.

Ooooh now you're *really* onto something there (you have a really nice way with words btw??) - myu's ice + masa's water + kira's dark energy = the coolest combo!!! They'd have such an elegant mysterious vibe to them....I SO want to see this now!! Aww you're right and I *so* want to see them having a tea party, bless (just don't tell natsuki okay?)
THE HORSEBACK AND THE SWORDS THOUGH?? Absolute peak, your brain is 👌👌 magnificent. Going back a bit here but the way I Need to see Camus doing Hwa's wonderland symphony part....the grand sword gestures......it was made for him 😭
With how much Camus suffers around quartet night, I think he'd appreciate the moment of peace Masato & Kira could offer 😂
On a different tangent here: do you think Sannie & Cecil would get along? Since San loves cats and he's basically an irl cat too.....him & Cecil = same wavelength maybe? 😆
Okay but you're so right, it's impossible to bias one member of the demon line & not stan the rest too!! Sanhwa are especially powerful when they're together 😵‍💫 Ateez as a whole are incredible performers, I'm actually a stay but Ateez quickly became my second ults, I couldnt resist them 😭 Do you stan other groups btw? 👀
I'm sorry but I actually don't know that video 😭 but I'll look for it!!!! But gosh, hwa in a wig.....I'm immediately thinking like, do you know when lee know from stray kids wore the long wig? I'm seeing the vision here....hwa with long blonde hair please we need it 😭😭 can you imagine him doing a dramatic hair flip??
The way I saw mamma and instantly thought you were talking about hwa (the mom vibes y'know??) 😂 I love your thoughts please keep them coming 👌✨✨
Okay ahem so AAAAAA while reading this ask I went through so many emotions and became so happy ok?? I need a minute to gather myself back together lol.
Firstly thank you so much for the compliment - this is literally the unfiltered flow of my brain through a keyboard sksjdjsjs but most importantly, I really LOVE rambling with you about this!! Thank YOU for that!!
Dear Broccoli, when do we get this trio plz?
And god forbid Natsuki finds the tea party (something tells me his natural chaos would manage to do it somehow)!!! He would literally crash it with happiness and enthusiasm and sparkles and rainbows and honestly? Chances are he had just been carrying a batch of self-baked cookies that he just HAS TO SHARE.... let's just say they switch locations after that event, and remain ever vigilant..
Literally the next week Natsuki would have probably appeared again this time with an entire angry-cat-Syo to join the party.
Actually, something tells me Kira would develop a Natsuki sensor. Like, without a word he would get up and walk off to like a back room and leave Masa and Myu (gotta rant about this in a sec hold up) in their confusion before they look out the window and see Natsuki round a corner 5 seconds later and just KNOW he KNOWS. From then on they use the Kira detector as a safety feature, it is very reliable :)
SO MYU. I FORGOT ABOUT THAT NICKNAME, *THANK YOU FOR BRINGING IT BACK TO MY ATTENTION*!!!
Like I love Moose passionately, but Myu is so endearing!!! 🥺 precious ice prince mode activated 💙
Ps.. I love how tall he is??? People do not appreciate that enough about this man me thinks. What are your thoughts on that matter?
//I love how every one of these gets longer than the last lol this is so wonderful ~♡
Okay so... I HATE how on point you are about San and Cecil. This should not be allowed. Omg. They would seriously be great buds. They would tune into each other's unique aloofness and work so well. I feel like they wouldn't like, be joined at the hip (like Woo likes to do hahaha) but - much like a real cat-human relationship - be super happy and close with each other when they see each other every so often? Like they are comfortable with the little breaks in between but whenever they are spending time together they are the bestest of buds.
.....
Sanhwa is the absolute BEST.
That is all I've got on that. No words needed. Amazeballs. Mind blowing. Holy floof.
.....
I THINK I remember seeing LK in a wig?.. Not entirely certain if my mind maybe made it up though. Was it Halloween costume related by any chance? Bet he looked stunning. Is he your bias in Skz? Owo
I am soooorrt of a multi stan?? Like I really stan ATEEZ way above all, I don't super follow other groups with every single release etc. But I do know a lot of other groups and listen to soooooooooo many different groups I can't keep track :)
Skz is perhaps the group I know the second best?????? Me thinks?? Might be shared with Enhypen. Anyway, 3racha is the bomb. They are all super talented and badass too. My wholehearted approval. The other day I actually learned the 143 challenge!!! It is so fun to do!! :D
Anyways, speaking of boys in wigs, boys with LONG HAIR THO. I sure love those ;)
.. Camus totally gets that right 👌🏻💯🌠
Even mullets! It is really unbelievable just how fabulous boys can be :)
Btw this is the video I was talking about! Very funny and worth watching haha~
I 100% approve of the mom Hwa vibes because really? Does it get any more wholesome than that? He is a blessing to this world seriously. So sweet, so caring and kind :)
Speaking of all these mammas, made me think of Mama - like the show each year - BOY DID YOU SEE THEM KILLING IT WITH THOSE STAGES!?!?!?! THE SECOND YEAR!?!? HWAS OUTFIT???? (EVERYONE'S OUTFIT?!?!?!?!?)
Omg. Like, they sure let out the demons in that one. Beautiful work of art that stage is from front to back, I'm still so blown away by it.
SINCE I CAN MAKE THIS POST EVEN LONGER:
Did you follow Kingdom???? Skz and TEEZ slayed so hard. Tbh all groups did tho. Amazing content. Blown away.
Special mentions go to WOLF cover with their mixed members (and Peniel slaying) was so good. Can still not believe there is such awesome content out there just like that.
Hope your day is going well, you sure are improving mine! Sending happiness your way! ~☆

I planed on posting this to @seramyuconfessions but since it became quite long, I’m just gonna post it here
I’m just wondering that what is with all the negativity that is going around lately in Sera Myu Community? Almost on every confession where somebody says something nice about some actor, there is someone who is saying negative things about them(especially when the confession is about New Myu actors) For a couple of times when I have seen a confession about someone complimenting an actor, it has made me really happy but then when I check the notes there is someone saying negative things about them and it has really brought me down. That is also why I haven’t made any confessions, because I don’t really want all the happy things to be turned into something negative. Yes, everyone is allowed to have their own opinion on things and say them, but if it’s always negative, why say it? As the saying goes, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all." Yes, criticism is obviously allowed and welcome but sometimes it just seems like pure hate and it’s really depressing to see something like that in a franchise that is Sailor Moon that has been with us since childhood and since it particularly represents love and friendship. Like someone said previously, “This whole old myu vs new myu is starting look worse than 90's anime vs Crystal...” And it probably is already. I’ve been there and seen the war between Classic and Crystal and it has been horrible and the amount of hate some actors(New Myu in general) is not far away from that. In my case, I dislike Crystal very much and don’t like what Toei did, but you don’t see me go screaming into somebody's face that how bad Crystal is if they say something nice about it. Why? Because I know that there are people who are genuinely enjoying Crystal. And I don’t want to be the one to bring them down because I don’t personally enjoy it. So same case with New Myu, why can’t you let those enjoy it who do?
I’m still quite new at this fandom so I don’t know all the details but what I have heard is that New Myu is the one that brought everyone together. I know that many are very passionate about Sera Myu but I just can’t personally see that is community/fandom would stick together like this about things that happened about 10 years ago, as seen that many fandoms have dissolved after the anime/movie/tv series has ended and since this fandom was quite small to begin with. And basically New Myu/NogiMyu is the only thing at the moment that basically keeps the franchise going. Yes, we have the Classic Concert, (which is kind of a one-time-event) and Crystal but it has been on hiatus for a very long time.
And then there is the thing what happened with Mikako. I’m not really filled in myself what happened but what I know is that many fans are hating on the actors because they don’t like the production. It is not the actors fault what happens in the play. They didn’t make the script and are just doing their job.
If you don’t like New Myu, that is fine. If you don’t like Old Myu, that is fine. It is impossible that we would all agree on something, as @sailormooncrystalfailures says, “We are all different people in different places of the world so it’s only natural we’ll never come to an agreement (and I repeat, that’s perfectly ok as long as we all respect each other while saying our opinions and tastes).” New Myu has it’s flaws but so does Old Myu. Since both are relatively good and has brought so many amazing things, we can’t just appreciate that we have them? Or would it just be better without them?
Since Sailor Moon is such an amazing franchise that we all love and it truly is a miracle romance that it still keeps going after such a long time, even when everybody thought it wouldn’t. It is really depressing to see this much negativity since every implementation Sailor Moon has it’s own charm.
This turned out to be quite a ramble but I just needed to say this. If you want to hate me for this, be my guest. I just couldn't stand this negativity anymore.

Warning: negativity towards NogiMyu below. I welcome anyone to disagree with me, but equally do not want to upset anyone who may not want to read this when looking up sera myu information, therefore I will be hiding all my negative opinions about NogiMyu under read more from now on.
miniaturephantomprincess replied to your post “Y’all, I’m seeing Nogizaka64 sera myu photos and a short clip of...”
Omg. Glad I am not the only one seeing things like this! I wasn’t a fan of the costumes to begin with and compared to ‘usual’ myu everything seems kind of halfhearted to me. Wig styling, stage, actor/character representation ... idk it just doesn’t click with me I guess :/
love-boat replied to your post “Y’all, I’m seeing Nogizaka64 sera myu photos and a short clip of...”
Couldn’t agree more with you. I’m surprised at the sloppiness of this myu. I heard they sang some old myu songs like la soldier and fire, but even that can’t save it (and I don’t even know if that’s lazy writing)
“Sloppiness” and “half-hearted” are both words that definitely rings true to how I feel about this myu after seeing the image and video clips so far. There is a sense of hype or expectation from this idol-group branded sera myu that what we are seeing now is not reaching, even if my expectation had always been low.
While I didn’t expect, but definitely hoped, that this myu would capture the “essence” of the Sailor Moon and Sera Myu series, I had expected there will still be a sense of “artistic appreciation” for the work that they do. I can’t pinpoint what I was expecting in terms of this being a Sera Myu” production, but I expected it to be something that would hold up to the idol group’s standard, having heard from others that idol group musicals are typically very well done and it isn’t about fan service but artistic and performance excellence.  Given that Sera Myu is so established already, I expected something that has good quality for a “musical production” and to live up to the “Sera Myu” franchise even if they do things differently - good stage, set, costume, singing etc., even if I was prepared to not expect the “normal Sera Myu” I was used to.  If the photos and videos are not even meeting my expectation of a good “musical production,” I do not know what else is left for me to look forward to with this when the odds feels so stacked again this.
I can’t even see how a NogiMyu could possibly benefit Sera Myu if it is so poorly done.
If someone has seen the show in person or have other tidbits to counter my negative option, I welcome them with open arms.

The Most Annoying Thing About Watching Sailor Moon: Le Mouvement Final...
was the audience I was with.  Usually it was fine, but the problem was always Sailor Star Maker’s “Star Gentle Uterus” attack and the roars of laugher EVERY TIME from the (English speaking) audience.
But I don’t understand why this happened at the musical.  Everyone was old enough to know what a uterus is but not young enough to snicker about it.  If you’re going to see a SUBTITLED Sailor Moon musical based on the Stars series, which never even had a major English release...you should be a pretty well-versed fan and know all about Star Gentle Uterus.  It unfortunately gets a poor translation and we all snicker the first time we learn about it as kids, but then you move on.
I just don’t get why the heck the audience, predominately the men based on the laughter, felt the need to laugh loudly EVERY SINGLE TIME the actress said it.  The attack hasn’t changed in over 20 years, we all know about it, it isn’t going to change any time soon.
I mean if a girl dragged her boyfriend to see the show, I’d hope she’d warn him beforehand because to someone unaccustomed, it IS odd, but get over it after the first time.  And I mean personally, I wouldn’t bring my boyfriend...Stars is freaking confusing for a fan, let along someone who doesn’t even know the show basics.
But seriously, Sailor Moon fan or not...grow up.

Why I Don’t Like ‘Sky of Jewels’
So I think I’ve made it obvious that I’m really not a fan of the incredibly popular song from Le Mouvement Final, Sky of Jewels. But everyone (and I mean everyone!!) seems to love it, so I thought I’d take the time to talk (rant) about all the reasons why I honestly do not like it.
1) It’s really out of place - If it’s supposed to be this neo-Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai that’s really epic, then why is it appearing at the start of the show just for Iron Mouse? Like, maybe it should have switched places with Sailor Make Up and Celestial Born, then Sky of Jewels would be for both Iron Mouse and Tin Nyanko.
2) The tune is just overall not well written - Honestly it sounds like a song a little kid who loves Sailor Moon has come up with. I literally remember coming up with silly songs as a child running round my back garden that had tunes of a similar style to this song.
3) The English parts are the same tune as the Japanese parts - Okay this one is super difficult to explain but I’ll try. You know in Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai, it goes “kitto hanasu moeru ryuushi yami no kanata made” *change tune* “Passion Flame Sailor Mars”, right? And in Sky of Jewels the structure is more like “kitto hanasu moeru ryuushi Passion Flame Sailor Mars”, with no tune change, it flows with the rest of the verse (it’s hard to explain without like singing it but just imagine if the “yami no kanata made” was instead “Passion Flame Sailor Mars”). This way of structuring it just doesn’t work to me.
4) The English parts feel wasted - Kinda following from my last point, the parts where they their names and stuff in English just feel redundant and glossed over, rather than the climax of the verse, if you get what I mean. For example, the “Sky And Flight Sailor Uranus” sounds kinda flippant and quick, as if you could miss it as it’s immediately followed by “Ocean And Embrace Sailor Neptune”, whereas comparing it to Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai all the English parts feel significant.
5) What is up with that Mercury and Mars duet - Okay, I can understand why Uranus and Neptune sang together (fan service... 😑) but why Mercury and Mars? Is it because they wanted Karen to be backed up so they stuck her with Yume? Their singing ability really shouldn’t dictate how the song is (hint hint Shin Kaguya Kaiteiban Ai Yori Houseki wink wink).
6) It’s just overall not very well thought out - The lyrics, parts and tune of it are just all over the place, I honestly think it was just quickly thrown together by the song writers so they could have a proper neo-Koi no Senshi ja Irarenai, although I was happy with Koisuru Satellite taking that part (plus that has Chibi Moon so...).
(by the way I originally wrote this during one of my free periods at college so appreciate it you have your answers as to why I don’t like it now XD)

RANT: Overwatch Lore
Oh my god, I just...you know what's really infuriating to me about Overwatch Lore, other than literally everything? How much I GIVE A FUCK. I CARE SO MUCH. Like, to a certain extent, Crystal can't hurt me because I have been around the Sailor Moon block so much that I know what this shit is going to do and exactly how its going to disappoint me, and so I feel strangely free and disconnected from it. Haruka wearing a wedding dress at the end of the new myu? Utterly predictable, sure this may as well happen, why not, Michiru saying she's jealous of Usagi and Mamoru? Yeah sure whatever she's not a real Michiru but a false one.
This is the appropriate way to interact with canon.
But Overwatch? For whatever fucking reason I cannot free myself from the shackles of caring what the fuck they're doing to my girls (and Winston). I should be able to look at the intensely inconsistent characterization* and the utterly fucked timeline** and go, "Oh wow, nothing matters!" but every single fucking time, I open the stupid comic or short story, and every single fucking time, there is a little voice in the back of my head going, "No, stop this is...holligay PLS" and every time I get SURPRISE FUCKING PIKACHU over the disappointment. WHY THIS? I fucking love Tracer, so goddamn much, and I think Pharah is one of the most uniquely interesting characters I've noodled on in a long time, and when the game started up, they were supposed to be the CORE of the story. WHy do you thing I made them main characters? I thought weirdly, that pharah was going to matter! I thought she was going to be more than an accessory in other people's story. MY TEAM WAS SELECTED BECAUSE OF THIS THING FROM THE BEGINNING OF OVERWATCH GEE IT'S BEEN A LONG FIVE YEARS
youtube
Me, being a dumb fucking cunt who apparently has never interacted with a video game ever, in my life, took the ladies from this trailer and was like, "Okay these are the core characters of the game, and surely each of their lines represents an extreme core value they hold, something that is incredibly important to their character. They're all saying similar things but in different ways, and THAT is important." I BASED MY ENTIRE OVERWATCH WORLD BASED ON THIS FACT.
I AM FORTUNE'S GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKING FOOL.
Remember when Mercy's sense of ethics and compassion was a core part of her character? Remember when she was like, "uh, Overwatch was basically always wrong." Remember when she had a personality outside of being the sexy girl? THEY MADE HER JUST HAVE THE EXACT SAME JOB AS HER PARENTS.***
I keep thinking back to the simplest tucking things, like Lena's AGE. Canonically, Lena is 26 years old. I, and others, using the very difficult system called, "We googled and found the RAF website" determined that she would be too young to have been an RAF fighter pilot, gone to overwatch, been lost in time, and have revived overwatch. We had a very simple solution! "Oh, " we said, "she was lost to time at 26, and a symptom of her disability is she doesn't appear to age/doesn't age" No! Said overwatch, no, she's really 26 despite that making no fucking sense. Or like, Tracer's favorite ~footie~ team being Chelsea. Like, you don't have to agree with me that it's clearly the West Ham United, but there are a MULTITUDE of options that don't boil down to, "One of two English football teams Americans know" GOOGLE. GOOGLE. I googled and handed a list of three options to an Actual English Person, asking their opinion based on my take of her. It took me like, thirty minutes.
FAREEHA AMARI perhaps no one has been fucked so roughly and thoroughly as you are. From the absolute asspull of you being half-Native to cover for the Thunderbird skin. I am very happy that some people feel represented by it, but it was always an asspull. It was never their original intention**** And she was SUPPOSED TO BE A MAIN CHARACTER. She was supposed to be central and her conflict with her mother was supposed to be about FAREEHA, not about fucking ANA. Ana Amari fucking sucks, and the fact that she sucks was supposed to be about Fareeha and how, I mean think about it for five fucking seconds, if we take the view that she 'grew up' with the old guard, nearly every fucking adult in that group PRETENDED TO BE DEAD AND FUCKING FAILED HER. How can that not be Fareeha's story? How can she not have trust issues? How can people being flighty not fuck with her even if she wouldn't admit it?
I'm not even going into Dva because the way they play into her whole cutie pie kpop thing isn't an argument I'm into having.
AND I CARE. I keep fucking caring!! I fucking read the McCree/Cassidy comic! And I will keep reading it!! Why? Because I am FUCKING STUPID, Y'ALL. I am a DUMB CUNT who loves these girls SO FUCKING MUCH. Every time I see a Tracer thing I'm like, "my girl!!!!" my heart soars at seeing Pharah and Mercy together. I just...I can't stop myself! THE THING I HATE MOST ABOUT OVERWATCH LORE IS THAT IT IS COMING DOWN WITH ME, HAND IN UNLOVEABLE HAND.
*LENA MY BELOVED. She was always a bright and optimistic and sunny little thing, but also, like, more than fucking happy to put a bullet in someone with that same smile on her face. WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK AND ALL THAT. She was forgetful and twitchy and had a little bit of a temper on her and could HOLD A GRUDGE but generally assumed the best of others and of life itself, and I took to her VERY quickly without meaning to, and in the last comic I think it's particularly glaring how they've stripped her of so much of what made her a very human sort of character. Issue three ALMOST did something really neat with her and I was SO excited but they just dropped so much of it and UGH MY GOD WHY DID I READ IT WHY DO I CARE but also like, let Lena be a complex person with feelings for more than five seconds?? You've walked back SO much about her, up and including her being a blue collar Eastender because you hired some bitch who can't do the accent but I guess she was on Downton Abbey so whatever***** let's remove what made her an even more compelling sort of hero--lesbian, disabled, blue collar, been through HELL and back--because why not? We already avoid talking about the real implications of her disability and the utter BULLSHIT she must have been though as, might I add, the only human being to ever survive being physically disconnected from time.
**Buy a whiteboard!! Buy a whiteboard.
***Doc, both of Lena's parents are fighter pilots. Fair, so, criticize me all y'all want and I won't put up much of a fight, but I'd like to argue that having it be a longstanding family legacy has a slightly different tone if I was going to defend myself.
****I know this because Fareeha's VA, when asked at the Salt Lake City con about what she was given when auditioning, was told expressly that she was "an aggressive Egyptian Captain America" which is a) essentially how I've always written her and b) confirmed what I have always DEEPLY suspected.
***** WHY IS DOWNTON ABBEY ALWAYS THE SOURCE OF MY PAIN

Different versions of Sailor Moon as college courses/instructors
Sailor Moon Manga: Where the instructor tells you out at the gate the course will cover at lot in a short period of time and try to keep up as best as you can. In which sometimes it just good to listen and not take notes cause you going to miss something if you do. That you can read the material after class at your pace which you’ll be good. Also finals is open book and everything covered in class is on there.
Sailor Moon 90′s anime: The first day of class will be the most material you will get from the whole class and disregards the textbook. The next class periods, the instructor will talk about their daily life with a few of things you need to know. You probably take up to one paragraph of notes from those classes if that much. Probably a few sentences at most.  Most of of the time it’s a fun class for you not to really to pay attention to but talk to others. Then in the last class time before the finals, they will tell you a whole semester worth of material in 20-30 mins time and expect you to know this for the finals. You study all that and come to find out that was just the first half of the test and the second half they didn’t even cover because it taken from the textbook they disregard.
Sailor Moon Crystal: When the instructor tells you to read the textbook and you’ll be ok. Everything they will cover comes from the text book with a few omits but pretty much the textbook. Just buy and read the textbook and you will pass the class. It says in the syllabus many times that the material comes from the text book. Rapsblüte no Yoru (Princess Tutu epilogue skit) and my thoughts
Or: Why a bitch is still salty after 9 years
So, as previously mentioned on this blog, there was a skit presented at a Princess Tutu convention in 2004 by series creator Ikuko Itoh and chief director Junichi Sato called “Rapsblüte no Yoru.” It takes place about a year after the anime’s ending and serves to wrap up some loose ends about the characters and their feelings - particularly Ahiru and Mytho.
So I’ve talked about it before, but now more time has passed, so I thought I’d let the raging monster out of its slumber to REALLY address the epilogue and my own uncensored thoughts and feelings about it. Half of this ended up reading like a rant, really, but I just had to get it all out there.
Here is the skit, as recited by Japanese blogger Goma and translated by LiveJournal user csakuras, along with my reactions and thoughts, which are indicated by the blockquotes.
"Quaack.." Ahiru seems to be swimming on the river during a night with a beautiful moon It's been a while since then, and every day I'm happy. It's fun talking with my bird friends, and Madam Pelican is a little noisy, but...it's fun. And besides......whenever I look up, Fakir is always there.
So Ahiru has returned to life as a bird and has settled in well. Good for her.
Ahiru: "I've come all the way to Gold Crown Academy....somehow I feel like dancing." Saying that, Ahiru climbs onto the bank and is surprised to find the whole surface covered with rape blossoms. Ahiru: "Gwak!!" Autor: "Oh? What's this?" It seems he stepped on Ahiru.. Ahiru: "Gwakgwak!!" Ahiru protests. Autor: "Oh it's you, Ahiru-kun...isn't Fakir with you?" Autor backs away as Ahiru tries to talk to him. Autor: "Sorry, but could you not get so close? I'll start sneezing from my bird allergies." (The mystery of his dislike of birds is solved.) Ahiru: "Charon-san and Raetsel-san had a child so Fakir went to the celebration."
The idea of this seems to negate all of Raetsel’s development, but okay then.
Autor: "I see....by the way, did you come to see the Night of Rapsblüte too?" Ahiru: "Rap..Rapsblüte?" Ahiru asks curiously. Ahiru: "Rapsblüte are rape blossoms, right?" Here, Autor goes Hnph! with his nose as if making fun of her. Autor: "The Night of Rapsblüte is when once every 50 years, all the rape blossoms bloom simultaneously on a night of the full moon. According to what I've researched in the library, in the records of a student from 50 years ago, there is an eye-witness account." Ahiru heaves a sigh (lol) Autor: "And tonight, the weather, the date, everything matches with the past data!" Autor is full of confidence. "Besides that, you're in the music department so maybe you should be studying piano instead..." Ahiru mutters. Autor: "Did you say something?" Ahiru: "Huh? Autor can understand me." Hnph, he laughs at her with his nose again. Autor: "Anything can happen tonight and it wouldn't be strange." Ahiru: "The moon is so pretty..." (Here, a man wearing a mask of the moon appears from behind..it's a great hit in the assembly) Autor: "What's that? An onion?" Ahiru: "!!" Uzura: "Ho~ Ahiru zura~" *Tototon* (her drum) Ahiru: "Uzura-chan!!" Ahiru: "Uzura-chan! Where were you?" Uzura: "I've been wandering the interval of time with the old man zura."
WHAT does that even mean?! What is the interval of time?! Considering Uzura’s previous life as Edel, it’s surprising that Uzura chooses to stick with Drosselmeyer. He’s the one who put her Ahiru and Fakir through so much trouble, after all. Then again, Uzura is a child and probably has no memory or idea of the role Drosselmeyer played and the evil things he did. Uzura also isn’t human, so maybe human morals don’t bother her as much.
Ahiru: "By the old man do you mean Drosselmyer-san? Then where's Drosselmyer-san?" "Drosselmyer?!!" <--(Autor's switch is on) Uzura: "The old man is busy with updating the site zura, sorry he's so irresponsible zura." (Here, Director Satou is rolling with laughter.) Autor: "Why didn't you bring him with you?!" Clearly, his Drosselmyer otaku switch is on lol
I hate you, Autor. I try not to but I do.
Uzura: "One more is coming zura." Autor: "One more?" Mytho: ".......Tutu." Ahiru: "Mytho!!" (I can never forget Ahiru's sad voice here)
Ah, and here it is. The agony.
You know, I could possibly stomach the whole damn ending of the show if the epilogue doesn’t go on to make it entirely clear how heartbroken Ahiru still is. I mean, if Ahiru is actually happy, there’s nothing more you can want for her. But this here kind of ruins it. Like, why?! How am I supposed to be content with her situation when she’s sad at the mere sight of Mytho?!
Mytho: "It's been a while...." Uzura: "He was dancing on the balcony so I brought him zura." (....At your own pace as usual, Prince.) Autor: "Prince Siegfried from the story!! Myu...Mytho-san." (He sounds as emotional as if he were meeting Drosselmyer.) Mytho: "Are you Fakir's friend...?" Autor: "I'm Autor!" Mytho: "You were the one who helped Fakir? Thank you..." (How does he know..)
How DOES he know? Well, there was a tiny time skip between the defeat of the Raven and Mytho and Rue’s departure to the story. Perhaps things were explained a little during then.
Autor: "No! It was an honor." (only dimly remember) Mytho: "If I remember correctly, during our ballet lessons you were asked by Neko-sensei to accompany us on piano." Autor: "Yes, I was asked to accompany you on piano by Neko-sensei 11 times, and I passed by you with Neko-sensei in the hall 27 times." (Jeez, Autor's in high spirits (lol)) Mytho: "Fakir sometimes sees cows and alligators flying in the sky, so I'm worried. Could you take care of Fakir?"
Mytho seems to naturally be a little bit of an airhead. It’s funny to see that qualities of him that we saw in the anime can be attributed not to his lack of a heart and common sense, but just to how his personality really is. Cute.
Autor: "Yes!! Mytho-san, please leave him to me." (He's been left to him without having a say, Fakir's in a pinch (lol)) Ahiru: "Mytho? How is Rue-chan?" Mytho: "Rue is doing well." Mytho: "It seems Rue is good at singing too and she's a popular princess among the people." Autor: "Rue-san?"
So Rue is a true lady of the arts, not good only at dancing but at singing too. Interesting that she’s so popular, considering that she honestly doesn’t seem to be the most sociable person. Polite, but not going out of her way to be friendly. Perhaps her time in the story with Mytho has defrosted her even more. What is the new Rue like, I wonder?
Uzura: "Mytho is rabu-rabu with Rue zura~" Autor: "Could you be quiet for a while..." His voice is lacking energy and sounds like he might cry (He knows they're rivals in love..is that okay?)
WHY is Autor so torn up over Rue still?! He never even really spent time with her. Foolish kids, I tell you. She was hardly more than a pretty face to him.
Ahiru: "Thank goodness... Mytho. "The Concluding Volume of The Prince and the Raven" got published. It's not a story without an end anymore." Ahiru: "And also, soon Fakir's going to dance an all-male version of La Sylphide with Matthew Bourne-sensei's choreography!"
Soooo this part is confusing. The concluding volume… So The Prince and the Raven was a story published in installments? The show made it look like it was just a single novel. Unless they mean that they simply published an official ending… But if the story was given an ending, wouldn’t that affect the storybook world? And who wrote the ending and got it published, Fakir? A couple of questions that remain here.
Mytho: "Fakir....I always feel like I'm connected with Fakir..the more my country becomes peaceful, I can feel him close by." (It's...mostly dim recollection. Just the nuance of it.)
Yeah, don’t act like you didn’t just up and leave him AND Ahiru once your business was finished, Mytho. Anyways, skipping the salt, does this mean that Fakir’s conclusion to the novel made things more peaceful in the story world? That’s what it sounds like to me.
Actually, isn’t it kind of scary that Fakir can still wield influence over Mytho’s world? What if he got pissed off at him? yikes
Ahiru: "Mytho...." "You should meet Fakir! He's coming back tomorrow..so then.." Mytho: "I can't..I can only come here because the interval of time is connected tonight..see, the moon is already sinking this much." (The man playing the moon sinks down (lol) The assembly bursts into laughter again) "I see..."
WHAT is with this ‘interval of time’ nonsense again! Someone explain it to me!
Also, fuck Fakir, apparently.
Mytho: "Princess Tutu.....thanks to you, I can be like this. Thank you." Ahiru: "I wanted to see you smile, so my wish is already granted." (only dimly remember)
 AND THERE IT FINALLY IS!!!
“Thank you, Tutu, for risking your life to save mine and restore my happiness and holding your tongue about your feelings for me so I could do nothing for you in return and leave hours later.”
No, I’m not salty. Anyways, the abrupt ending to the show without much dialogue was due to time constraints, not necessarily a true display of Mytho’s character, which I guess this epilogue was partly written to fix. It does seem pretty heartless when you watch the anime, though.
Mytho: "Princess Tutu, I wanted to be with you longer. I wanted to talk with you like this longer....to me, you are the light....because you are someone very special..." (?? Mytho/Ahiru?)
See, this is why I just can’t do it. Like, Mytho, are you fucking kidding?! You leave her alone as a duck and now you want to sweet-talk her?!
But actually, all bitterness aside, this is really sad. They obviously care for each other, but because of circumstances and plot, never once did they have the time to really just… talk.
And he still sees her as the light. I saw some people kind of making fun of this, but of COURSE he does. There was a considerable period of time when she was the only person vouching for him, keeping him safe, acting as his voice… and ultimately saving him in every way. He can only be a real person again because of her, and she never faltered in her mission. That’s INCREDIBLE. Of course he would hold her in high regard.
Mytho: "But, I have to protect Rue. Rue needs me...." (I'm sorry, it's completely out of memory...because I was so overwhelmed..(lol) I should take my reeling in moderation)
And here’s the dagger. After talking about how highly he thinks of Ahiru/Tutu… he backtracks by saying Rue needs him.
And you know why this is REALLY fucking sad? He doesn’t say that “But, I really enjoy being with Rue” or “But, I love Rue.”
He says he has to PROTECT Rue. Rue NEEDS him.
I don’t think I need to dive too deep into the implications of his wording to spell out why this is upsetting, but I’ll sum it up quick. Instead of saying he likes being with Rue, he says Rue needs me. That’s the first thing that comes to mind.
And if it means what I think it means, that’s just fucking harsh. That’s not fair for Rue. That’s not fair for Ahiru. That’s not fair for Mytho.
I mean, we all know the prince has a savior-complex, but the implication that he chose Rue because he feels a sense of duty to protect her instead of romantic affection is kind of… tragic. That’s not a happy ending at all, really. Does Rue have any idea?
I think this is why I have an issue with Ruetho, because no matter what you can’t escape the fact that Mytho will always view her through the lens of what she suffered. It’s just in his personality as a heroic, selfless prince. Doesn’t Rue deserve someone who sees her as… more than someone to protect?
Whatever, can’t be changed now.
Mytho: "Tutu...you have done so much for me, but I couldn't do anything for you." "Is there something I can do for you, Tutu?"
WHAT on Earth could he possibly expect to be able to do for her?! I mean, short of turning her human again, but I’m guessing that’s out of the scope of his abilities. Don’t be so bait-y.
Ahiru: "......Mytho! I.........." "No, nevermind..." (Ahiru sounds incredibly sad)
AUGHHHHHHHH
What was she going to say? You know what, probably doesn’t matter anyway. We know what she wants… she can’t have it, though.
Mytho: "It's almost time..." "See you again....Tutu...." (Jeez..I don't remember any of it) Ahiru: "Can we meet again?" Mytho: "Surely we will meet again..." Mytho (or is it Yanagi-san? lol): "We can meet again, when Sakurai-kun is here." (The assembly explodes with laughter)
NOOOOOOOO
No no no
No, do NOT meet again. This is just asking for trouble. Ahiru clearly isn’t over Mytho, and Mytho… clearly does not have his priorities straightened out. If they keep meeting like this…
Well, as the anime shows, it wouldn’t be the first time they put themselves through the wringer for love. Mytho recites something in German. "Waaao!!" <--(Uzura)
What did he say? I’m curious.
Here, Mytho says his never-ending feelings for Tutu (if someone remembers this part please tell me~) And at the end, Mytho: ".......Ahiru."
……..Yeahhh, probably not a good idea to meet again.
Like, I get that this epilogue is to ‘tie up loose ends’ including the torched remnants of Mythiru that were dropped so abruptly at the end, but...
Why, oh why, Mytho, did you choose Rue if you’re still hung up on Tutu?
Additionally, we see that Mytho DOES now know that Tutu is Ahiru. That’s bittersweet too, but in more of a good way. He finally knows that the little passionate goofball was the princess all along. I wonder who told him, or how he found out. Did he just figure it out on his own? Like, the duck that was once Princess Tutu must be Ahiru because Ahiru = duck? Maybe Uzura told him? I doubt Fakir would’ve, simply because once she was back to being a duck again permanently, there was really no reason to tell Mytho. Couldn’t much matter anymore, right?
Ahiru: "I get the feeling I heard Mytho's voice at the end." I am a duck....I can't wear toe shoes, I can't dance.. (I'm sorry, I don't remember) But inside my chest there is a sparkling gem that will never be broken. The end.
And that’s it.
Sooo a lot of conflicted feelings coming at me from this, if you couldn’t tell. I guess first is the question of whether or not this could be considered canon.
Honestly? I think so. Both Ikuko Itoh and Junichi Sato, the people behind Princess Tutu, worked on this and presented it. They even had some of the Japanese VAs present to act it out. Additionally, as I’d mentioned previously, it addresses some questions that were left open due to the somewhat rushed ending of the anime’s finale. And nothing presented in this skit goes against the show’s canon or really comes out of left field (aside Charon and Raetsel man tf). It’s short and sweet.
Moving on, the first time I read this I was really happy, simply because it makes it clear that YES, Mytho does return Ahiru’s feelings. Which I guess was clear in the anime too, but this skit makes it undeniable. It’s nice to feel validated.
But as time goes on and I’ve had the chance to chew over and really digest it… It’s kind of a really crappy situation for our heroine and hero. Like, so they are in love, and they want to continue seeing each other… but Mytho is SUPPOSED to be spoken for with Rue, and Ahiru is a duck. Not to mention that Ahiru is Rue’s FRIEND. C’mon girl, chicks before dicks. Of course, they could still interact platonically, but the confession from Mytho in this skit kind of shot that possibility dead. And what about Fakir in this mess? Granted, Fakir isn’t stupid – he’s known that Ahiru loves Mytho from the beginning, and it’s not exactly like he can be in a relationship with a duck. But still.
Maybe I’m just looking too far into things, but with a piece this short and direct, I don’t know how deep you can really dive.
Anyways, my final thoughts are: Mythiru is canon but in the most tragic way possible, Rue deserves better, annnnnnd I’m still left unsatisfied.
