Here, NOT ONE SINGLE SOUL talks about Krautrock 🌿 it seems like dead & forgotten (except CAN)
which is sad about this phenomenon :/ the only ones paying attention are prog magazines and music connoisseurs
Everyone talks about the Scorpions and Rammstein (in fact it's quality). Sometimes Boney M but... it's always the same: good music is too elite for the masses.
Even the band Eloy. Prog fans love them- the most listeners come from other places of the earth but not their origin country. Often a fault of the music industry, critics as well as the radio stations which really neglected these now in modern times.

The rhymes & language, pronunciation
Sure, worse languages exist. But to be honest, can you relax, with the German language? There's no flow at all, nothing like Italian or, you know, English. It's a popular opinion and what speaks against it?
Depends on the way someone sings and per region there is a difference but some harshness is always there.

Some people are totally fine with the accent (their whole discography is in English sung by Frank Bornemann!!) others have problems getting into this band. Depends on the listener.

Old fashioned names
For example British rock: someone asks you, you say your idol is some random Jeff or Pete or whatever their names are. What about German musician's names? They're called Dieter or Jogi or Herbert or Udo

People make jokes about old fashioned names, then why blaming yourself and getting sideeyed.

A few information
Okay don't judge (seems extremely stereotype now) the people, musicians of the 60s and 70s were the first generation after WW2. You can imagine. The children of ex- patriots. They wanted to change something. BUT!! They were BOUND in the roots of their country.
There was a scene and later with many students and discotheques. There were artists from all over the world. The music is innovative and you can hear it even clearly. You can also hear their protest, spirit and the diversity of sounds.
There is nothing you can call THE Kraut. It's practically impossible to sum the sound up. Actually it's not a genre. That one word represents all the music made in Germany

1. So many songs by this one group called Lied des Teufels? Yeah. They're not known at all. That singer sounds like imitating Ian Gillan- Everyone can TRY to copy but they do it in their own style which is not copying, it's storytelling. (Kind of)

Anakin Skywalker and the ¿Rebellion?
One of my favorite parts of the Clone Wars series is how given the increasing number of problems all over the galaxy as a result of the Clone Wars, there just wasn´t enough Jedi or Clone soldiers to cover them so Anakin´s idea to approach this problem was teaching civilians how to defend themselves and other kind of guerrilla tactics, one of the people who was trained was Saw Guerrera and his group, later he would become one of the biggest leaders in the rebel alliance, who had a big role protecting Galen and Jyn erso which would give the rebellion the plans for the first Death Star.
It´s even better the fact Obi-Wan and the Council called this tactic "terrorism" while Anakin called them "rebels" :)
This gives a new meaning to the fact Vader called the rebellion traitors to the Empire but never terrorists, even if looking at them that way would have gotten the Empire some points in the eyes of the public.
Vader tempted Luke by calling for an end to this "destructive conflict" and put "order in the galaxy" even in the darkside, Vader didn´t deny the rebels had reason to their actions and the Empire was part of the problem even if he didn´t agree with the rebellion.

would much rather hang out with people who are in touch with their emotions and have little to no sense of “cringe” about their enjoyment of things than people who can’t go a single conversation with injecting some irony-based quip into it and finding embarrassment in people who are unapologetic about their interests

fuck dude im falling into poetry poetry land. like the stupid sentimental happy-smiling everything-is-beautiful first love kind of feeling, except im not in love w a person it’s with the idea of being alive. im thinking about fruit and music and windchimes and sunlight. i want to write for the first time in years, and what i write isn’t about how trapped i feel it’s about blue skies and oranges and songs and sweet things. who am i and how do i keep being him
#it speaks#i found a little rhyme in our journal from weeks ago and it’s just sweet. i looked at it and thought it was the best thing I’ve ever written#im almost unrecognizable to my own self. it feels like i just woke up from a dream where i was someone or something entirely different#dour and miserable and using humor to deflect it. never engaging on an honest level with anyone. everything behind sarcastic irony#i could summon up the energy to want max to be happy but not a scrap of it for myself. i was resigned to it. it was more me than i was#maybe we have seasonal depression but I’ve been depressed for years. actual years nonstop#ever since we cut ties w a larger community honestly. it was the right choice for us but very isolating#i don’t know how to say it. im happy now. and I’m intensely grateful to learn that it’s possible for me to be happy#at the same time it’s so unfamiliar that i can’t help but make fun of myself for it#look at this idiot he’s so happy it makes him look stupid. he wants to eat fruit and sit in the sun like some kind of fucking plant#we’re working on it though. i think being a little bit dumb when you’re happy is okay.
