a couple of months ago my sister asked me about what was up with harry’s situation regarding his sexuality and identity, so i summarized the rabbit hole best i could at the time and didn’t make a deal out of it. soon after that, both she and my mom started gifting me watermelon, moon, and tons of rainbow-themed things, not alone all the sunflowers. they went hard, i’m talking towels, bags, bracelets, pillows and socks etc.

now, i’ve been obviously queer ever since i was a kid, so it was never directly addressed by me because i’ve never really felt the need to, people just assumed that about me and moved on. but seeing that they talked about it, made the connection of why he’s such a huge inspiration to me and decided to collectively show support, making sure i felt safe and welcomed around them to be who i am is very wholesome. for that, i thank them, and h.

Had a wonderful time at the Pima County Fair. We looked at all kinds of prize winning farm animals, viewed local arts and crafts, drank margaritas with a straw, ate greasy Chinese food and deep fried cookie dough and watched the Village People perform YMCA and Macho Man. Good times! April, 25th, 2022.

look i’m gonna be as nice about this as i can but i genuinely earnestly think the reason we have a whole generation of queer teens happily begging for table scraps from the walt disney corporation is because no one listens to welcome to night vale anymore. wtnv was a generations introduction to explicit positive queer rep, and for some people, myself included, queer rep at all. and it sets the bar at a reasonable place. from the first episode, our narrator, a man, is outright stated to be in love with another man. this is taken seriously, and treated as healthy and normal, rather than secret or shameful. once you have that, you can’t go back to crumbs. and you certainly can’t go back to pretending crumbs are a four course meal.

i am so fucking sick and tired of hearing people say “trans men didn’t contribute anything to queer/LGBT/trans history” shut up shut up shut up. if you are a trans person and your sexuality is anything other than 100% straight, you have a trans man to thank for your ability to access transition. for a good portion of history, being heterosexual was a requirement for transitioning medically. you literally could not access transition if you were trans and anything but straight because if you were trans and attracted to the same gender, it was held as “proof” that you were just a straight cis person. lou sullivan, a gay trans man, is one of the most prominent people responsible for getting heterosexuality as a requirement for medical transition removed. he is one of the first people to champion the idea that gender and sexuality are not necessarily always interlinked and that if you’re trans it always comes with being straight. you have a trans man to thank for your ability to access transition care at all if you are trans and queer. don’t fucking forget that.

I love and appreciate fanfic authors, but I read their notes and I have to wonder what fucked up shit they did in a past life to make god hate them so much. Like why do the worst things happen to fanfic authors and they just brush over it. I’ll be reading a fluffy fic and the notes will be “hey sorry the fic is late both my parents died, I’m in hospital right now, and my house burnt down. anyway hope u enjoy this chapter!!“ bro????
