What’s your favorite Donnie/ Raph dynamic out of all the iterations? Sorry if this question doesn’t make any sense lol
Makes perfect sense, and it has a very easy answer for me:
TMNT 1987 has my fave Donnie-Raph dynamic!
One might think it'd be Rise of the TMNT, but while I do enjoy Raph and Donnie's dynamic in that, and I did create a whole comic with the two of them, it's more of a love of what could be more than what we actually see in the show, because there are very few scenes and episodes in that series where the two of them team up.
In fact, there are very few interactions, scenes, or episodes with the two in most iterations, unfortunately. Despite that, the two remain my favorite duo in TMNT (more on why that is over here). But out of all the iterations, it is in 1987 that we get perhaps the most interactions and team ups between the two of them. And it's not just the amount of time we get to spend with the two of them together, it's also the quality of the interactions, too.
Throughout the series the two are often shown hanging out, tag-teaming in fights and sparring matches, and even teaming up to play pranks on Leonardo and Michelangelo.
There's many moments where they agree with each other or side with each other if there's a disagreement in the group. For instance in "Splinter Vanishes” the team is forced to go their separate ways. Raphael and Donatello disagree with splitting up and want to stick together, even though the others (and Splinter) insist that they do. Then you have Season 8′s “ H.A.V.O.C.” arc, where there's a team of other mutants that seem like allies, and the two of them want to side with the new mutants while Leonardo and Michelangelo are suspicious of them (the mutants end up being antagonists, but this is just another instance where the two have similar opinions and stick together).
They’re just portrayed as being a good team who work well together, despite having rather different personalities.
And that’s another thing that I find interesting about them in this version - how their personalities differ somewhat from other versions and how those personalities bounce off each other in this iteration. I've talked a bit about this, and what I like in regards to how their dynamic is portrayed in another post. But specifically what I find interesting is that in this version, Raphael is actually a lot more cautious and self-preserving, while Donatello is the one who is rash and runs into trouble.
Raphael's personality in the 1987 version is very much a sassy, wise-cracking jokester. He'll definitely egg on a fight that he's confident about and taunt the enemy a lot, but he knows when to back out of a tough situation. Meanwhile, Donatello is very smart and level-headed, but very prideful, and it's that pride that gets him to bite off more than he can chew. In numerous instances he's gotten himself and the others in trouble because he's so sure of his abilities that he doesn't see when things start to go wrong because "he can handle it".
What's cool about these seemingly clashing personalities, is that the two end up grounding each other. Raphael will be the one to point out when Donatello's schemes or inventions may have some downsides. Granted, he does so via sarcastic jabs at Donatello's expense, but nonetheless, he's also there to help out when things inevitably go wrong. And despite his reservations about Donatello's plans, he very often turns to him when things go south. He's very sure of his brother's ability to out-think a situation.
Tumblr media
On the flip side, Donatello will often look to Raphael for comfort or assurance when he is worried or scared. There are lots of instances of him clinging to or hugging Raphael when he's nervous, and it's very sweet (more screenshots over here).
Tumblr media
Overall, I wish there was as much focus on this duo in other iterations, and it's because there's so much content with them in '87 that it makes it one of my faves.
I’ll close out this ramble with a list of a few of my fave Don-Raph episodes from the 1987 series:
Back to the Egg - Michelangelo and Leonardo get shrunk to toddler age, and Donatello and Raphael have to be older brothers to the two younger ones. This is my favorite episode of the whole ‘87 series!
Raphael vs the Volcano - an invention by Donatello makes Raphael think he's dying, so he throws caution to the wind and goes on various heroic escapades. Donatello has to fix his mistake and save Raphael from his own brash actions.
Combat Land - The turtles are invited to test out a new battle-themed amusement park and to fight its robot creations. However, it might just be a scheme to destroy them.
Dirk Savage: Mutant Hunter - Leonardo and Michelangelo get kidnapped by a villain who is trying to control mutants, and Raphael and Donatello have to work together to save them.
Thank you so much for giving me an excuse reason to talk about my favorite duo :3

Do you think Yoda saw all of his past students in Luke?
He saw that rage and unquenchable desire for a system corrupted to be changed, just like Dooku? He saw that peace and patience and desire to learn that Qui-Gon had? The same sass and empathy that Obi-Wan held? The same desire to live up to the people who came before him, just like Ahsoka?
And, of course, he saw Anakin there. In blue eyes and lopsided grin. In the affectionate touch to a droid. In the raw power, the untapped potential that could sway to the light or the dark so easily.
Do you think he saw the best and worst of them all? Do you think he looked at Luke and remembered training Dooku? Do you think he saw Luke heading in the direction of a maverick and missed Qui-Gon? Do you think he watched Luke grow and learn and all he could think about was that pure, uncorrupted kid from Tatooine? The kid who wanted to free slaves, the kid who fell in love hard and fast, the kid whose trust was hardwon, the kid who grew up into the antithesis of everything he once was?
Do you ever wonder what was going through Yoda’s mind on long nights? When Luke would get impatient and storm off, only to return a few moments later, calm and ready to try again. Do you think he held onto that fear, the fear that stuck with him for so long, that yet another member of his lineage would die before their time or turn to the Dark Side or just leave entirely?
Do you ever think of Yoda trying to hide things from Luke, only to get tired of it? He told Luke about his sister. The one secret that would have died with him. Artoo can’t tell anybody. Everyone else who knows - Padme, Bail, Obi-Wan - is dead. They could have just left him in the dark. They could have taken that secret and not let it potentially sway Luke’s emotions one way or the other.
That was the plan, wasn’t it? Obi-Wan is surprised when he finds out that Yoda told Luke. The plan had to have been to not tell him, to never tell him, to never risk Luke forming an unhealthy attachment to his sister that would lead him down the path of the Dark Side. That would never start Leia on the path of becoming a Jedi, meaning she would never even be at risk.
But, Yoda was dying. He was dying and he had so long to think of all the things he should have done differently. He was dying and he looked up at Luke, who they were putting the weight of the world on. They were telling Luke that the future of the galaxy was entirely on his shoulders. The sale of absolutely everyone was on him and him alone. They told him he was the last Jedi.
So Yoda must have looked up and seen that pressure. That loneliness. The Jedi of old had large communities. They lived and breathed and grew with each other. They never felt alone, because they always had someone to turn to, someone to talk to, someone they trusted to keep their head above water.
And here they were, leaving Luke alone. Telling him to rebuild the Jedi Order. Telling him to kill his own father. Telling him to kill the Emperor, but not out of anger or hatred or guilt.
Yoda figured out that this would just make it all happen again. Dooku turned because he didn’t trust the Jedi Order and he felt alone. Anakin turned because he didn’t trust the Jedi Order and he felt alone. If Luke was sent to face off against two of the most powerful Force-users, both of whom are Sith, then he would only lose faith in Yoda and Obi-Wan, and he would feel all alone, and he would turn to the Dark Side.
I think Yoda told Luke about Leia out of a desire to give Luke that support system. The Jedi all had bonds with each other, with their teachers and students, but even without bonds, they were still functionally telepaths. They were empaths. They needed a strong support system to be there when the weight got too much to bear. When the darkness of the galaxy weighed on them, when the failures of the past haunted them, when they felt so lost and confused and empty, they had each other. And that’s what Yoda was giving Luke.
He was trying to say, “Even without your father, you won’t be alone. Even without me or Obi-Wan, you won’t be alone. You’ll always have another person, a person who can and has built you up and kept your head above water. A person who you’ve done the same for. You support each other, you’ve supported each other for years now, and you will always continue to support each other.”
Luke and Leia aren’t “attached” to each other. They’re each others’ safety net. They need each other, but not out of attachment. They need each other as everyone needs someone or something to remind them of all the good things in the world when things get rough. They remind each other that they need to fight, to live on. They remind each other that the galaxy is good at its core, filled with good people who just need some help.
They remind each other that they aren’t alone. They trust each other. They don’t need the power of the Dark Side.
And that’s why it’s so important to remember that Yoda told Luke there was another Skywalker. Yoda, who has been against attachment since the beginning, is the one who risks Luke getting attached. It’s important because this is a major character moment for Yoda!
He sees them. All of them. Dooku felt alone and left them behind to try and feel power to feel safe. Qui-Gon died alone, with only Obi-Wan there to help him, far away from the Jedi. Obi-Wan died alone. Anakin felt alone and abandoned and wanted power to feel safe. Ahsoka felt alone and abandoned and left the Order, because she no longer trusted them. They all lost it, that safety net, those people who were always around them to keep them above water, that support system that reminded them that they weren’t alone and they would never be abandoned and —
Don’t you think Yoda blames himself?
His own Padawan felt like he had no choice but to leave. Obi-Wan feared attachment out of fear of being cast aside, of being abandoned. Anakin fought that desire for attachment, that desire for someone to be there when he fell, and he when he finally got even a hint of it, he hid it out of fear of it being taken away and him being abandoned for having needed it in the first place.
Of course Yoda blames himself. He outlived all of them. He’s far older than them. And his own fear of his loss overpowering him, the fear that watching everyone he loves die over and over again beause of how much longer he’ll live than any of them, is what kept his Lineage from having those safety nets in place. Those support beams.
He looks at Luke and he sees that rage that Dooku had, that eagerness to learn that Qui-Gon had, that empathy that Obi-Wan had, that innocent desire to help that Ahsoka had—
And he sees that little boy from Tatooine. The one who grew up into a monster. The one who grew distorted and disfigured and who hated them all and tore them all down. That possibility lives within Luke to. The overwhelming weight of responsibility put on one person’s shoulders, the same weight that Palpatine used to manipulate Anakin into believing that none of the Jedi could ever help or understand him.
Yoda tells Luke about Leia. He isn’t specific, he doesn’t name a name, but he knows he doesn’t have to. He doesn’t want Luke to feel lost and abandoned and alone. He wants Luke to feel strong. He gives Luke that support beam. That attachment that could so quickly overwhelm him or become unhealthy. He gives Luke this because Luke trusts him, and he doesn’t want Luke to feel like he can’t trust him.
He doesn’t want any Jedi to feel alone. He doesn’t want to see them fall to the same things the Jedi in the past did.
But most importantly, Yoda cared for the Jedi. All of them, and especially his own students. He feels their loss, even lightyears away. He wouldn’t have felt the loss of life if he didn’t care for them, not from such a far distance. And he wouldn’t have been as affected by it if he didn’t care about them. He cared about the Jedi, about his students and his Lineage and even about the little runt that Qui-Gon brought back from Tatooine.
He cares about Luke. He has so much faith in Luke. He doesn’t want Luke to die like the others. He doesn’t want Luke to die alone and feeling abandoned.
Yoda gave Luke that attachment. Because he didn’t want Luke to drown under the weight of everything they were expecting of him.

I hate it when I get a sudden burst of inspiration right before bed
Now I am craving to write a Wild and Hyrule get lost from the chain but end up solving an entire dungeon fic which I am positive has been already written but I wanna write it
Write it! It hasn't been done as far as I know! There actually aren't very many Hyrule & Wild centric fics out there. A dungeon crawl fic sounds like a lot of fun!

What’s your favorite Raph and Donnie moment? Also where can I watch the 1987 turtles cuz I saw your art and your reviews and I really want to watch them now lol
Well, I had a small list of my fave Raph and Donnie episodes from 1987 over here. But it's hard to pin down a specific moment. If we’re including other series, then this one from Rise of the TMNT comes to mind tho :3
Tumblr media
As for where to watch the 1987 turtles, from what I can tell, no streaming service has it available. But there are playlists on youtube of the entire show (literally just search “teenage mutant ninja turtles 1987″), and you can also find it on kimcartoon  which is where I watched it (tho I recommend a good adblocker for that). You could also probably find DVD sets on amazon or ebay if you want to actually buy/own it
I also have a handy-dandy “must watch” list here, if you don’t want to watch all 200 episodes ;3

Marth and Tiki drabble
On Ao3
“Give me your hand for a moment, Mar-Mar,” Tiki requested.
“Alright,” Marth agreed, ever obliging.
Or, more accurately, distracted. He was doing paperwork, reading through letters and reports, and so he held out his hand, unconcerned by Tiki’s request, without thinking about why she wanted it.
She held it in her own hands gently. Marth’s hands were bigger than hers. They were calloused from years of wielding a sword, but still rather soft. Tiki had heard some of Marth’s men describe him as delicate once. With his neatly trimmed nails and warm palm and slender fingers, she thought she might just understand what they were getting at.
She bit him.
Marth kept working for a moment, then abruptly stopped. He looked over in confusion, his head tilted in question as he watched Tiki hold his thumb between her teeth. Tiki was being as gentle as she could, unwilling to hurt him.
“Tiki,” he said gently. “What are you doing?”
Tiki released him to answer. “I’m trying to make you a dragon.”
Marth blinked. “Pardon?
“Xane told me a story about dragons who could bite people to turn them into dragons,” Tiki explained. “I thought that sounded marvelous. I imagined a world in which you would never leave my side and we could fly through the skies together. Doesn’t that sound nice?”
“That does sound nice,” he replied. “But, I think perhaps Xane was speaking about vampires.”
“Vampires?” Tiki repeated, turning the unfamiliar word in her mouth.
“Creatures of legend who drank the blood of their victims and occasionally made those victims into vampires themselves,” Marth said.
“He was messing with me again,” Tiki mumbled, pouting. “How mean. I was really very excited, you know!”
“Don’t fret,” he soothed, his fingers curling around Tiki’s hands. “I’m sure he didn’t mean any harm.”
“Still,” Tiki huffed. “I don’t want you to leave me, Mar-Mar. I want to stay with you forever.”
“Oh, Tiki,” Marth sighed, but his smile was fond and warm. “I will always be with you. Even when I die, I’ll still be with you.”
“No you won’t,” she said.
“You’ll always have your memories,” he said. “We live on in the memories of our loved ones. So long as you don’t forget me, I will be at your side always.”
Tiki held onto his hand, her own trembling.
“It won’t be the same,” she mumbled.
“No,” he agreed. “It won’t. But I will die one day, Tiki. I can’t stop that. All I can do is make more memories with you, so that any pain that comes alongside my loss is lessened.”
Tiki released his hand to hug him instead. He hummed, but hugged her in return, his touch as gentle as ever. Tiki buried her face in his shoulder.
“I don’t want you to go,” she sniffled.
“I don’t know what other option could exist,” Marth mused. “Unless you’d like me to haunt you?”
“I wouldn’t be scared if Mar-Mar was haunting me,” Tiki told him firmly, clenching her fingers in the back of his tunic.
“I don’t know that I could watch you sleep for thousands of years,” Marth told her. “It would be a long time of being idle. I’ve never been good at that.”
“I’ll stay awake then,” she said.
“How will you grow if you don’t sleep?”
“But-!”
He ran a hand over her head.
“You’re strong, Tiki,” he said. “You’ll be just fine without me. You’ll be able to make even more friends. You’ll be able to make wonderful memories. And when you die, I expect you to tell me all about the adventures you’ll have. The world will change so much, I want to know all about it.”
Tiki looked at him, tears still glittering in her eyes. She met his eyes for a moment, then nodded.
“Okay,” she agreed. “I’ll tell you everything. Even all the boring stuff.”
“I look forward to it,” Marth chuckled.

So what they’re saying is that Porsche and Vegas are going to be working together a lot, right? Because the minor family is probably still handling some things and Porsche is going to need help from someone who knows all of their partners and deals and such.
In other words. Basically ensured VegasPorsche teamup.
