My grandmother's old sewing machine (1960s Elna) was sent out for servicing about a month ago. Turns out it's insides are pretty much fucked-- so after a little bit of sadness, I resolved to acquire a second-hand machine from the guy who services the machines. Today I got to fire up my new (to me!) Husqvarna Optima 610. Runs great, I did a pants hemming better than I've ever done it. I also fucked around a little bit and wrapped up a silly little wrestling blazer that I started in June -- altered from one of my grandma's old blazers which was a bit big on me. All and all I'm excited to see what I get to making with this new machine!

Never in my life have I experienced a more chaotic 12 hours. *Checks lunar calendar*. Yup, checks out.

im almost done with my gifset oh my god this is a nightmare i will never make another gifset in my life

tried to fix my nerf gun but i couldn't open it because one of the screws was stripped, so i instead spent an hour tearing the thing apart with my bare hands until the screw and its hole snapped of the other side of the thing and then i was able to fix it and put it back together and it works fine. moral of the story: violence is the answer

i had a chai "latte" which was a complete bastardization of actual chai btw . because i needed something lightly caffeinated to get started with studying, but the boosting effects only lasted 1.5 hours (as expected) and I've been dying of fatigue since noon (as expected) and well I knew this would happen but I hoped (foolishly) that it wouldn't because having actual coffee will wake me up and also make me extremely anxious (I have been weirder than usual in terms of worrying since last week. idk why the meds arent .. doing what they usually do) so yeah 👍🏻 i feel shitty

u know i said i trip down stairs often but i tend to catch myself i've only actually fallen to the floor like once or twice in the last few years (all at the fault of my school's poorly-maintained staircases and sidewalks like jfc man this is an old school but please can we fix those they're hazards (well that wouldn't be the worst the age has done to the school a couple semesters ago part of the ceiling collapsed on someone in the oldest building and i'm like. huh. yo is this a hazard are we safe here but the truth is none of the older buildings are safe u must seek out the newest buildings if u wish to not be attacked by the poor weathered old corpses of those poor poor ill-maintained structures. they deserve better, you know. and yet...)) anyway i was super pissed the last time i fell bc i tripped on a very heavy-traffic staircase in front of everyone who was running to class i was like wow i'm going to die rn for real and everyone was like if you don't get your dumb ass out of my fucking walkway i will trample you to death and spit on your corpse so i (rightly) never go near that staircase
