My take on a human Pinkie Pie in a college au type of situation

-> works as a baker in a bakery, which is extremely popular with students ; has been working there for 6 years

-> is Applejack's cousin ; the bakery often gets exclusive goods from the farm because of this (meanwhile the Apples get a nice discount and pair of extra helping hands)

-> is in her last year of uni to get her culinary arts degree (3rd oldest among the mane 6)

-> is pan, has weirdly specific types

-> she's renting a studio apartment in a complex across from the bakery (the same complex in which Gilda, Starlight Glimmer and Moondancer are staying at) [used to room with Trixie before she had gone on a long self discovery journey]

-> ran into Rainbow Dash one day as she was running from her class back to the bakery, gave her a free cupcake as an apology (she just had some at her)

-> has a pet gecko named Gummy

-> she met Fluttershy through Applejack ; Fluttershy often does checkups on Gummy ; also visit the bakery a lot because of their pet friendly policy and because of all the good tea they have

-> Rainbow took Rarity to the bakery a couple of times ; got close to Pinkie, Maud and Starlight

-> the Sparkle twins became regulars shortly after moving to town ; she always makes sure to put aside a few servings of their favourite treats ; they study there a lot

-> is close friends with Tempest Shadow (Fizzlepop Berrytwist), as she worked at the bakery for a year

-> was in an on and off relationship with Cheese Sandwich, which ended after he moved away to start his own start-up company

-> has a difficult relationship with her parents ; she thinks they might be disappointed in her, but they are actually just really bad at communicating their feelings ; they also are still warming up to the whole gay thing

-> Maud and Limestone do their best to support Pinkie as she's slowly reconnecting with her parents ; they often give her handmade necklaces and chockers, made from cool rocks and minerals that they find

-> she is the therapist friend, mostly cause she had gone through therapy and still goes occasionally

-> gives the best hugs around

i'm 63 pages in and i am just so emotional - we are so incredibly lucky as such a large and longstanding fandom that nora has released this book as affordable and accessible as the previous three - these books have given so many people a community, a sense of belonging, and a new meaning to fighting for their lives. i will forever be so grateful for what she has given to the world, what it meant for me at sixteen, and what it means for me now
