Hugely enjoying medieval music at the moment. My major interest is Ancien Français and its influence on German during the era of „Mittelhochdeutsch“ (roughly 1050-1300). Listening to the music and reading the associated texts helps me understand the formation of modern day French and German as we know them. This is one of the reasons why Music and Foreign Languages are interlinked. More people should examine this area. It should not only be seen as being dusty scholarship.

Musicians are Gods. everyone gets the same reel of 24 hours of time, yet they are always seeking, always innovative, motivated, and constructive of their magical gift in using their time efficiently. They have the ability to create off of silence. Most in which can't even condone silence, yet they breathe the concept, as if their compositions are their meditations; feeding the people through their ears: magic. They're the ones who can make you feel it's possible to taste sounds. They're the ones who can make you feel like you were just born again. Musicians are Gods because they can hear what we don't. They're the ones that bring the sounds of the universe to life through what we call; song. The way Musicians can bring your soul to know it can dance is more captivating than any other drug one could cultivate.

musicians are artists at its finest. Musicians bring a universal language to the table having everyone eat the same feast no matter where you're from. like I said, they can make you taste sounds... the delicious fruit of creativity, the boundless potential of possibilities that sounds can be sewn together to be as one.
