Eyes Are Windows to the Soul.
Was just sitting here, having a ponder and...Rafayel's eyes are blue and pink/red.
Remember how in one of Rafayel's previous lifetimes, MC was hypnotized to kill Rafayel? It was in the ocean as well and Rafayel sang MC to sleep/death.
Rafayel also swam down immediately after he was resurrected and saw his kingdom was filled with blood. His people had perished and turned to bloody seafoam.
When MC saw the painting Rafayel made she said she saw a woman standing in the ocean half laughing and half crying and there was blood in the ocean (which is a flashback to Rafayel and MC's previous lifetime)
Maybe Rafayel's eyes are half blue and half pink/red because of how he was killed and the blood spilled of his people since he was/is the God of the Sea.
