I could have been wild and I could have been free
But nature played this trick on me
She wants it now and she will not wait
But she's too rough and I'm too delicate. / I lost my faith in womanhood.

Sara or Peggy
Send my muse two ( or more ) names for them to honestly admit which one they like the most and why.
Tumblr media
"Although I rather like and respect Mrs. Arnold, I barely even know her," Ben replied. Deep in his heart, he knew it could be argued that he didn't know Sarah terribly well either, but they'd formed a connection -- a bond, in a manner of speaking -- and regardless of her feelings on the matter, he knew there was an inkling of some sort of affection that led her to spare his life.
"I suppose by default, I would have to choose Mrs. Livingston," he replied. Giving this stranger the specifics as to why felt too raw and invasive.

@templetonpeckcangetit
Glancing at his calendar to confirm he did have an appointment with a potential client at nine, Murphy Michaels next looked at his watch. Yep…even with it running a bit slow, it was definitely a few minutes after nine. Knowing how his luck had been running the last two years or so, he would not be surprised if this…Sarah Livingston just blew this appointment off or had already hired one of his competitors and just forgot to cancel her meeting with him.   Murphy wished he could say his life had only been on a downhill slide since he left Los Angles last year but the truth was, the slide started earlier than that. He could not even blame that charlatan Steele…even though it was hard to ignore that Steele waltzed onto the scene and in a matter of months managed to steal, intentionally or otherwise, Murphy’s position in the company he practically helped Laura Holt build, large portions of his job, and the woman he loved. Hell, sometimes the man even leeched off Murphy’s fashion sense and the two ended up looking uncomfortably similar. Murphy tried to swallow his pride and stick it out as long as he could but, finally, even his long-burning fuse fizzled out and he could not take it any longer. Parting with Laura as amiably as he could, he insisted that he wanted to strike out in a new city because he had grown tired of LA. The truth was, he was tired of Remington Steele, both the agency and the man playing the role of Laura’s imaginary boss. That…the creation of that ruse right there was the moment his downward slide started. He never should have helped Laura create that fictitious boss of hers or played along with the deception. Only…Laura had been so passionate about succeeding as a private investigator and so frustrated that no one wanted to deal with her personally, simply because of her gender that, when she hatched this scheme, who was he to say ‘no’? The whole thing made him uncomfortable and he knew if anyone found out, they could both kiss their careers good-bye. Still, Murphy went along with her plan out of love for her. And this was where love got him….working alone in a crummy run-down office, competing with a dozen other small-timers for the same lousy cases. The problem with breaking from the Remington Steele agency, with how famous it had become due to some very high-profile cases falling in their laps, was that he could not explain why he had broken away without explaining who and what Remington Steele actually was, which would likely implicate him in potential fraud and doing business under false fronts. Therefore, people always wondered why he quit what they assumed to be a lucrative position and, when he had no real answer, they made their own conclusions. Few of these were flatting for Murph or good for convincing people to hire him.
Tumblr media
Grabbing his coffee cup, he finished the last mouthful of lukewarm liquid inside and stood up from his suspiciously empty desk. He had no secretary right now—she quit two weeks ago to  become a beautician—so he was trying to work in his office and keep an eye on the front room as well. Reaching the door dividing the two spaces, he shoved it open and scanned the sparse waiting area, “Mrs. Livingstone?”

CISMALE — ever hear people say JACK HALL looks a lot like DACRE MONTGOMERY? I think HE is about TWENTY THREE, so it doesn’t really work. The CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY major is a SENIOR that is from LIVINGSTONE. They can be +NURTURING, but they can also be -OFFICIOUS. I think JACK might be A SHEEP. They are living in BALTA. ( alli. twenty. cst. she/her. )
me again!! here’s jackie
tw: death tw
I. HISTORY
born and raised in a small town in vermont (livingstone), jack ernest hall was the eldest child of samuel hall, a professor at the local university, and melissa hall, an elementary school teacher
always athletic and adventurous, he hardly spent any time indoors. his best friend was the family border collie, athena
when jack was 8, his mother gave birth to his little siblings, twins named michael and sarah
his family was one of the less wealthy in the town, but jack compensated for this by being generally well liked
he had a knack for football, taking on the role of quarterback with poise. he was a natural leader on and off the field
DEATH TW tragedy struck the halls, and the town as a whole, when jack’s mother was shot in a hostage situation at the bank. he was just 13 at the time and the shooter was the older brother of one of his friend’s from school.
the once cozy hall residence became of a house of grief and loneliness after that. melissa tied the family together and had been very active in the community
jack’s father started teaching night classes in addition to his typical course schedule to make up for the loss of melissa’s income and any money they received in compensation for the murder was put towards the children’s college funds.
with no one left to watch the twins, jack was pretty much always Permanent Babysitter unless he could talk his elderly neighbor into watching them for the night
DEATH TW summer before his senior year, jack broke his femur and a few ribs following a fall from the town water tower. the fall was the result of a drunken fight he had gotten into. the other boy in the fight also fell, but did not make it out of the event alive. ( this guilt eats at jack. he’s never been the same )
the town took pity on jack because of his mother. everything was ruled a tragic accident, however his football career? over
senior year he mostly just partied and tried to help take care of the twins who were now 10 and decently old themselves. he had a serious girlfriend for a few months but they broke up due to constant bickering
he really wanted to leave his small town, however he knew he couldn’t leave the twins behind
he decided to attend gifford mostly because his father worked there. he received a full ride and therefore gave his siblings the money intended for his own college fund.
II. OTHER
he’s kind of bossy. he’s used to being listened to and getting his way, but he doesn’t even really realize this himself
really fatherly, noble personality. he’s always trying to do what’s right for everyone. bears a lot of unnecessary responsibility
he has very little interest in anything beyond a hook up. he feels uncomfortable when people are straight forward and interested in him
he’s pansexual, doesn’t care what people think about him in that regard. he knows he’s a huge casanova, probably breaks a few too many hearts, but he thinks he’s protecting himself
big vintage, all american boy aesthetic. his pinterest board is HERE
III. WANTED CONNECTIONS
previous hookups– any gender, any opinion on jack, maybe even ex’s or like an ALMOST something serious but that’s way less likely than a drunken decision at a party
friends– jack hates to be alone so he would have a ton of friends! maybe just met through class and text occasionally, maybe they’re super close and do everything together, maybe it’s a whole rag tag group of kids playing knights, anything throw it at me
roommate/s– he lives in balta hit me up he’s probably really easy to live with he’s clean and likely not ever home
little sibling/s– not his actual twins lmao they’re 13 BUT someone/s he looks after like he always has his siblings? its kind of second nature for him at this point
sportys– he’s probably going to try out for a sports team soon so someone to recruit him for that? someone that doesn’t like him and doesn’t want him to try? he’d likely want to take over and be captain he’s bossy.
frat brothers– he’s in a frat bc of course he is but i haven’t decided which one yet?? so help me decide??
any wanted connections you have that jack could fit?? he’s a revamped muse so he’s pretty malleable rn honestly

The Hugh Priestess // The Sun
II. The High Priestess — How does your muse feel about religion?
he must have walked up and down the london streets all day. that’s what he did, you see, he just walked the cobblestone streets from the moment the sun rose to the moment it disappeared, because he sat down for second- he worried that he wouldn’t get back up.
his path was illuminated by the moon. it seemed to shine on st. paul’s cathedral. having no other options besides the gutter, benji sought shelter inside. he felt so, so small amongst the towering columns and frescoes of gold. the boy made his way to a pew in the very middle of the room. he laid against the hard surface and stared up at the painted ceiling. he shut is eyes.
oh great and mighty lord above, if you are listening- if….you listen to be people like me….please…please help me- grant me some assistance.i am lost. i am lost and london is a very big city and i fear that it will meet my end here. i do not want to keep walking to nowhere, with no direction. what is my purpose here? please show me my-
his head shot up when he heard the large doors open. “thank you, amen” he finished before scrambling out of the pew and towards another exit.
XIX. The Sun — Describe a happy moment in your muse’s life.
he grabbed the girl’s hand pulled her deeper into the alley before she was caught. “are you mad?” he asked his good friend, sarah livingston, before looking down at the bag in her hands. sarah was notorious for having sticky fingers and a stealth like a snake. “i brought you something,” she whispered, taking out a small jar from the pouch. “my mistress won’t lament over this. she has near a dozen of these in her home.”
benji looked down at the car and opened it carefully, green eyes wide and curious. inside the jar was a soft red rouge. he glanced at sarah in disbelieve. “you took this for me?” he asked in awe. she merely nodded and encouraged him to continue. “thank you…truly.”
slowly, he dipped two fingers into the jar and watched as his skin was stained red. he grinned, applying the hue to his cheeks to match the way he would imagine wealthy ladies did. the blonde continued to put the rouge on his lips, chuckling at the waxy texture. “how do i look?” he asked his friend, turning towards her in dim light of the alley.
“you’re even prettier than i,” sarah chuckled, nudging his shoulder and emptying out the rest of her bag. benji tried to focus but all he was looking at was the small jar of makeup in his dirty hand.

Complete cast lists below of Diana, MJ the Musical, Mack and Mabel, plus Birthday Candles, and Intimate Apparel
The typical Broadway theatergoer is still a well-to-do , middle-aged woman from out-of-town, according to statistics presented in The Demographics of the Broadway Audience 2018–2019, the 22nd annual report by the Broadway League. But, the League points out, the demographics are changing.
Among the survey result: • In the 2018–2019 season, Broadway shows welcomed 14.8 million admissions • Seventy-four percent were Caucasian • Sixty-eight percent of the audiences were female. • Average age was 42.3 years old • The average annual household income of the Broadway theatergoer was $261,000 • Respondents reported having paid an average of $145.60 per ticket. • About 35 percent of those attendances were by people from the New York City metropolitan area. • Sixty-five percent of admissions were made by tourists: 46 percent from the United States (but outside New York City and its suburbs) and 19 percent from other countries.v • Fifty-nine percent of respondents said they purchased their tickets online. • According to the League, both the number of non-Caucasians, and the number of international Broadway-goers, reached an all-time high in the 2018-2019 season.

Hannah Read
Tumblr media
Born and raised in Scotland and now residing in Brooklyn, New York, Hannah Read is a versatile multi-instrumentalist widely recognized on the International stage. She’s best known for her fiddle playing, songwriting and composing and was recently described as one of "the finest singers of the day" in the UK’s MOJO Magazine. Hannah leads her own band and is an in-demand collaborator on both sides of the Atlantic - including one part of the critically acclaimed British folk super-group ‘Songs of Separation’, winners of ‘Album of the Year’ at the 2017 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Hannah spent her youth playing fiddle and singing in the rich traditional music scenes of Edinburgh and on the Isle of Eigg, a remote Island off the west coast of Scotland. With musical training at The City of Edinburgh Music School, The American School of Modern Music in Paris and the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Hannah gathered the musical tools, vocabulary and experience that propelled her into the thriving Brooklyn music scene.
Hannah’s latest solo album Way Out I’ll Wander, was released in February 2018 on UK-based label Hudson Records. With comparisons to Sandy Denny, Joni Mitchell and Feist, Hannah seamlessly weaves in her influences from both sides of the Atlantic on an album that’s “deserving crossover status… nine gorgeous originals” (The Guardian). Recorded in winter between Upstate New York and New Hampshire, and produced by Brooklyn-based producer/engineer Charlie Van Kirk, each song on this album captures a very specific moment embodying “an inherent beauty” (Acoustic Magazine) with musings of home on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as tales of travel, love and loss. This album primarily features Hannah’s vocals, guitar, fiddle playing, joined by special guests including Sarah Jarosz, Jefferson Hamer and Jeff Picker.
Over the last decade living in New York and Boston, collaboration through music has been a major part of Hannah’s growth as a musician. She’s recorded fiddle, guitar and backing vocals with many notable artists including Rosanne Cash, David Duchovny, Silvina Moreno, Lola Kirke, Ember Isles, Rowan Rheingans, John Fatum, Ewan Macpherson, Keenan O’Meara, Raffi, Hanneke Cassell and Robinson & Rohe.
She has toured extensively throughout North America, the UK and Europe with both her own self-titled project, as well as performances with Jefferson Hamer, Kris Drever, Darlingside, Livingston Taylor, EVA, Oli Rockberger, Melanie Safka, Julie Fowlis, Ember Isles, Karan Casey, Eddie Barbash, Daimh, Songs of Separation alongside Eliza Carthy, Karine Polwart and Mary Macmaster, Juno award winner Rose Cousins and Grammy Award winning Sarah Jarosz, Celine Dion and Tom Chapin.

What soft romance cliché are you?
Love at first sight (Elizabeth Schuyler-Hamilton).
let's be real, only children believe in "love at first sight." but you're a hopeless romantic probably sitting around in coffee shops waiting to meet "the one." and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. infatuation at first sight is more accurate. you are the moment when two people lock eyes, and the whole world stills. nothing is there but you and them. and there is suddenly a strong sense of longing. you love love, don't deny it. flowers, chocolates, the whole nine yards. because of this you are loved by many. hopefully you know it too: you are loved.
Tumblr media
Because I love you! (Angelica Schuyler-Church).
passionate; you are the heated moment of an argument. when the person you care for has done something outrageously stupid or dangerous. all of your pent up emotions that you've kept inside of you come bursting out: "beCAUSE I LOVE YOU!" how could they be so dense. how could YOU be so dense. you've loved each other this whole time. your love tends to be strong, and loud. sometimes it might be hard for you to express your feelings but you let people know that they are cared for. you're also hot. good for you.

the almost kiss… (Ariel Triton).
you're unsure about things, always hesitating. why is that? maybe there's something to lose for you, but maybe (just maybe) the risk is worth it. you're the moment when the main characters lean in, lips parted and almost touching. but it's not the actual kiss everyone loves, it's the anticipation. when they look into each other's eyes before their lids flutter close. and there's a lot of frustration when things are interrupted. trust me though, you're a lot more memorable than the actual kiss. you're nervous, but at the end of the day all you want is to be loved.

What other turn characters have you thought of writing? Do you think you could write a character like Simcoe, Caleb, Townsend, etc?
Full list of my canon/semi canon, American revolution/TURN muses is as follows, see original character list for that specifically. In that list it’s by historical era.
— Benjamin Tallmadge, Elizabeth Schuyler-Hamilton, Angelica Schuyler-Church, Mary Floyd Tallmadge, Sarah Livingston, Nathan Hale, Abigail (Strong), Lola (LeRoy), Anna Strong, Mary Woodhull, Esther de Berdt Reed, Philomena Cheer, John André & William Wilberforce.
I’ve thought of writing Simcoe, I just can’t write characters who operate in that frame of mind well. By which I mean, TURN! Simcoe is cartoonishly evil (affectionate). I think @johngravessimcoe and @honorhearted do excellent at their portrayals and nuancing their on the surface, very “good” vs “bad” characters. Cause the truth is, the American war of independence was a political war of colonial power vs colonial power as much as a philosophical and ideas war of information and neither side was innocent in it. If I wrote Simcoe it’d be closer to historical RPF, as opposed to his TURN! adaptation. Note that actual Simcoe was a badass and a super reformed abolitionist basically his entire life, just like his peer, the philanthropist and redcoat, William Wilberforce.
I won’t lie, I’ve mostly considered writing chaotic bi disaster Alexander Hamilton, not cause he’s my favourite founding father/founding father adjacent. But because his chaotic, dandy energy is unmatched and also because there’s a mountain of evidence to suggest, strongly, bisexuality. Even by 18th century standards when that was in fashion, ala, the Duchess of Devonshire’s household and her affairs across the gender spectrum.
