Good question!
During orgasm, the pelvic floor muscles contract quickly and can cramp. This may cause pain in the lower abdomen and pelvis. You might even feel the pain in your lower back.
This kind of pain is also common in your menstruation cycle is going to be starting soon, or you're having pre-period cramps. Be wary of when your next period is!
Of course, it is also widespread to experience lower abdomen pain while menstruating. I'm sure most people know this, but I'll add it just in case. If you have your period and are masturbating simultaneously, the pain may just be period cramps.
You can also have cramps when ovulating, another reason to keep track of your cycle. It's prevalent for period-like cramps to occur while ovulating.
Another reason for lower abdomen cramping is if you have an IUD inside of you as a form of birth control.
Everything I listed above is a more likely reason for your cramps, but here are a few other options to look into if the cramping persists or gets worse:
Cysts or fibroids
Endometriosis
In simpler words, yes this pain is completely normal except for rare occasions. I suggest possibly giving your lower parts a break for a bit just to let the muscles relax, maybe take a Tylenol, and if the pain persists or gets worse then talk to your doctor.

There are comparatively few English-speaking people with my neurological disorder. I do really wish we had enough for a ____-after-dark social media group. There are so many unique experiences and coping methods specific to non-dystrophic muscular dystrophies. The ones I want to laugh about and commiserate over the most are the adultier ones. Bathroom, bedroom, and even just aging- related. "You ever try to slowly let out a fart and activate a muscle cramp all the way down to your big toe? Or end up popping all your vertebrae from sacral joint up to your scapula?" "Yeah, dude. I just started getting the cramps in my tongue that go all the way to my shoulder. Makes reciprocating oral agony." "I knowww. I figured out I can distract myself by activating the abs to thigh cramp for that that."
It doesn't help the numbers problem that half of our all only fb group is people who swear up and down they can erase the symptoms with restrictive eating and over-exercising, similar to people who think they can outrun cancer. It doesn't work like that. The minute you slow down your routine, all the damage you've been wreaking catches up. You weren't building white muscle- our bodies don't do that. You were temporarily inhibiting the building blocks for red muscle. Your body keeps the score. It will build that red muscle and then cramp every fiber. It will squeeze every bit of soft tissue until you're begging for God to replace every tendon, ligament, and bit of fascia in your hypertrophied, writhing python body.
