So I totally agree we need to cancel Worlds after 5 million injuries this evening, but I MET THE QUEEN!!! Also met Nile Wilson, Max Whitlock, Arthur Nory, Oleg Verniaiev, Shallon Olsen, Amy Tinkler & Jorge Vega Lopez who was a total cinnamon roll and I want him to make vault finals! (He's in 6th right now so fingers crossed!)

more thoughts on the arena

okay so here’s how i’m feeling - ASIDE FROM the lighting being a safety issue

part of the appeal of a major championships for me is seeing how the organizers decide to set up the arena

this worlds feels anticlimactic because it’s just essentially a repeat of glasgow

besides there being less pink

and it is really shitty cause normally, when you look back on a worlds, you get a certain feeling just from seeing that unique arena again

it just feels like we’re watching a worse version of glasgow and it’s like okay i’ve seen this before

there is nothing unique to montreal about this worlds essentially

ALSO

not being able to see the audience AT ALL it so shitty

it makes the arena feel empty and almost... sterile in a way?

like remember at euros when we saw the romanian fans basically praying before cata’s beam dismount?????

part of the fun of a major worlds is SEEING THE FANS THERE, the ones who bring flags and make signs and dress up and give standing ovations

but with an arena this dark that is all taken away and we are left with emptiness

so that’s how i feel about that
