This is such a shocking and egregious example that Netflix just fucking done with goodwill with these strikes man.
That money could of helped him and the many other actors and crew on breaking bad and better call saul, Netflix is literally just stealing from workers. There is no moral argument against piracy right now.
Reminder that striking is good, striking works, striking allows you to fight for better rights and protections.
I've seen a metric fuckton of negative mainstream media takes on striking, which of course influences the public perception of it. I've had many strike sympathetic people in my life suddenly turn and call them 'unnecessary - don't they get paid enough?' (not the point but ok) Or 'God its so inconveniencing' (the point). I have a rule that if someone is on strike - I will support them - they must have a good reason and people are stronger together.
Striking works - and corporate that stands behind mainstream media does not want you to know that, because it means they'd have to start treating you like a human and not a faceless number on the payroll - people who are better looked after cost more, and they do not want to spend more than they have to. So they influence the media (tin foil hat a bit here but its fucking obvious)
So remember this - it fucking works. And if you go and get a job that has a union - fucking join it.
Well done SAG-AFRA, WAG, and all the other fighting unions.
Now for fucks sake, someone let Michael Sheen out.
"I'm here today in solidarity with my fellow Irish actors, who are supporting the strike that is happening in America in solidarity with the sagaftra strikes."
