As Google maps says: Star Trek filming location. I'm still not sure why Star Trek gets the most notoriety for this since there have been hundreds of other TV shows and films shot here, but all the same. This is otherwise known as Vasquez Rocks, LA County, California. Of course, as my 2nd pic / screen shot shows, it certainly is the filming location for much of this episode from Star Trek (The Original Series - Friday's Child s2e11). I think I've said before, in this age of digital, virtual, computer generated sets and locations, it's nice to be able to go to actual places that really do exist. But what I also see is that as we, actors, films, even the plants come and go through time, the rocks remain for far longer. In looking this up, I realized I'm not much older than the Star Trek episode. William Shatner (Captain Kirk) is still with us and yet so many of the others have since passed on. I don't really take my pics to for others to remember me (let's face it, I'm no Ansel Adams), but I do take my pics so that I can remember me and share my experiences with my family - and you. . Motorcyclists gather at the end of DGR Salisbury in the grounds of Salisbury Cathedral and the tallest spire in the United Kingdom.

The cathedral was built in the early 1200’s.

🎬 The filming location: We take you to the Real Fábrica de Tabacos at the University of Seville. Some small scenes of episode 1x09 - Corinthians 10:4 took place indoors but the biggest takes place outdoors, in the final episode, in the first two courtyards of the main entrance of the building.

🎞️ Warrior Nun is one of our favorites of 2020, so when we saw that the most epic scene of season 1 took place in Seville we jumped at the chance 😁

Oak Alley Plantation, Louisiana, USA. They claim these are the most photographed oak trees in the world. After seeing a number of oak lined roads roads and paths this summer, I'm not sure I would claim "the most", but it certainly is a popular shot. So when I was looking for places to visit and saw a picture much like this one, I knew I wanted to take the pic myself. Making it one of my stops in a fast trip around the south, I first got there around dusk with a thunderstorm coming in. I got a few pics then, but I also felt I could get a bit better so I went back early the next morning and took some more including this one. For those looking for this shot, it is taken from about half way up the levy path (you can park about 1/4 mile north of the site). Of course I also got some pics down by the fence and other angles. Maybe I will share some of those one of these years. I certainly like my picture, but little did I know it would win 1st place in the Washington state fair in the travel division. I was blown away! My first time entering the state fair. Out of a couple dozen or so pics I had maybe 1/3 of them qualified for showing. But to get a first place was truly amazing. Quite an honor! . Jun 2022 .
