I'm bothering you with questions and statements
How do you feel about Alana and Margot being called the Murder Wives? Do you think they'll continue on a killing spree after they got a taste from Mason?
YAY I LOVE QUESTIONS AND STATEMENTS!!! :D
"Murder Wives" is awesome because it just makes me picture them and Murder Husbands being besties and getting together like once a week to have dinner and chat and gossip abt murdery things. As for them killing- I actually haven't finished season 3 yet so i dont know how accurate i can be about this!! but I like to think they're a bit smarter and less literally batshit insane than hannibal and will, PLUS they have a baby. They might dabble in a little bit of killing, just to see if its something that fits for them, but i think they'd eventually settle down with their kid. They'd definetly do a bit of killing if they felt a need to (or call in a favor, yk, if hannigram lived and kept in contact... 😭), but i also think they're a bit more... mature(?) about it? They could handle a lot of things without killing and potentially complicating everything and they know it. Plus, I'm sure Margot would want to be a better influence and role model for her kid than her father and brother were to her, which probably means making sure they don't have to come into contact with that sort of stuff, which im sure Alana would back up especially as a psychiatrist. Although theres the possibility Margot could get a bit overbearing, especially because of all the "being an heir" stuff, but I'm sure Alana would balance that out too. Thats not to say they wouldn't teach them how to hold their own once their old enough, and they'd DEFINETLY be backup if the kid ever does get wrapped up in anything murdery. So all in all, sure, perhaps some killing, but no... hunting.
LMK what you think about this if you want- since yeah i haven't watched a lot of season 3 yet so!!!!!! just going off what i have watched and what i've heard about it :)

let's talk about konigsblog. like, seriously.
if you're in the COD fandom, you probably already know exactly who they are and what level of depravity and disgust that they engage in. so let's talk about it.
for those who don't know: konigsblog routinely writes rape and pseudo-incest fic and tries to brush it off as "dark fic" and as "dead dove", whilst simultaneously trying to negate and undermine the experiences of irl survivors of incest, rape and other abuses by claiming that bc they're writing fiction, it's fine. anyone with a brain worth 2 pence can tell you that their excuses are bullshit and that they're just a fetisher who doesn't actually give a shit about the people who are genuinely hurt by such disgusting material.
now. I write dark fic routinely, I have written about topics such as trauma, heavy gore, serial killing, etc. what makes dark fic dark is the fact that it is about a topic of which you would expect in something akin to a horror film or a horror novel - something like the Dexter Morgan novel series or Thomas Harris' Red Dragon trilogy. dark fic is not, and never will be, the promotion, fetishisation and romanticisation of rape, incest, and pedophilia. the usage of "dark fic" within those circles is merely to avoid accountability and to avoid any and all criticism.
konigsblog thinks that they cannot be held accountable, as they're writing fiction, but when you look at genuinely dark novels from across the spectrum, you can see that they're nothing like whatever abhorrent fiction that konigsblog write. let me give you some examples:
in the Red Dragon trilogy by Thomas Harris, Mason Verger (an incestuous pedophilic rapist) is never written to be seen as someone who is desirable or whose actions are anything but disgusting. Hannibal Lecter (a cannibalistic serial killer) even says this openly several times that Verger is, essentially, a piece of shit.
in American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis, Patrick Bateman (a misogynistic, homophobic, racist serial killer who sexually assaults several women before killing them) is never written to be seen as someone who you want to be near or want to know. he is written as a depraved, disgusting, human being, and is treated accordingly - the novel is written from his POV, but Ellis makes it clear that his actions are VILE.
in Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, the male lead (a pedophilic rapist) is routinely written in a way of which makes audiences DESPISE him and his actions as much as they do his ideology and his thought processes surrounding a child. Nabokov makes it clear that rape and pedophilia are something that should be condemned and can NEVER be something romantic or appealing in the slightest. (side note: Nabokov was a piece of shit who wanted Russia to colonise Ukraine, so he wasn't exactly a good guy anyway)
in The 120 Days of Sodom, Marquis De Sade makes it clear that the rapists and pedophiles within the novel are awful people and he makes it explicit in their actions as well as the way of which they speak; you are not supposed to side with them, or to feel anything except disgust and horror that someone can commit such atrocious acts without having a second thought. the rape scenes are written to PURPOSEFULLY make you (the reader) feel disgust and to feel hatred for these characters.
do you see the difference?
dark novels surrounding topics such as pedophilia, rape and incest are written in a way of which does NOT condone these actions and does NOT treat them as desirable or as material used for one to masturbate to. whereas what konigsblog writes is explicitly written to be the opposite - its written to be desirable, to be something that you (the reader) should find attractive and WANT, it's written for you to masturbate to.
how abhorrent can you be that you would sit there and try to condone such vile and depraved writings? how apathetic towards your fellow man can you be to engage with this?
and there's no point in saying "Well, don't like, don't read" - no. because this is genuinely harmful material of which promotes and fetishises the most abhorrent and morally bankrupt acts known to mankind. this is genuinely harmful, its not a kink that people aren't into and is tagged properly (bc konigsblog RARELY tags accordingly), it is taking the WORST thing that can happen to somebody and turning it into pornography.
if you engage with or even support konigsblog, you do not support or care for rape, incest and abuse survivors - you do not. and don't try and pretend that you do. so many survivors routinely, openly and honestly, talk about how rape pornography, especially in fanfiction circles, is abhorrent and should NEVER be celebrated, engaged with, or supported - and its a travesty that we have to keep doing it and we have to keep saying "no, stop it, this is harmful".
if konigsblog continues to produce these works, and continues to improperly tag and continues to expose these themes as desirable and attempts to normalise this - it is going to hurt people. it is going to cause someone to actually get hurt.

This starts at the motel in TwotL, so there is original dialogue here, reinterpreting the scenes we were given. The story segues into pure fiction after the fall.

From Baptism:
It takes an indistinct amount of time to get ‘back down to earth‘ as it were. Will is vaguely aware that there is a cramp in his legs, the fingers of his right hand hurt where Hannibal has gripped him too tightly, he is a mess, he hurts between his legs in places he cannot yet define properly and Hannibal - Hannibal is lying on top of him, making it hard to breathe, silently crying into Will’s neck. Will feels the best he can remember.
He carefully dislodges his left arm from Hannibal’s neck, dragging his fingers through the greying hair, petting. His legs drop and he winces, which seems to bring Hannibal back to himself. He raises his head, eyes bloodshot, his voice gravelly. “Will, I… I apologize.“
Will shakes his head slowly and places the fingers of his left hand against Hannibal’s lips. His gaze catches on the ring that Molly placed there and he realizes with a start that it has no place here in this bed. He feels more than sees Hannibal withdraw and quickly shakes his head again trying to placate and communicate his thoughts as clear as possible. “Take it off for me.“
Hannibal freezes above him. The look he levels at him does its best to make Will hard again but he really isn’t that young anymore. Will swallows. Hannibal slowly drags his right hand up at the side of Will‘s body, making him shiver. When he reaches his chest he follows his arm up until he reaches the hand that’s still raised between them. Slowly, very slowly Hannibal starts to push the ring off Will’s finger with his messy hand, never breaking his gaze. Hannibal encloses it in his hand when it’s off and carefully puts it on the nightstand at the other side of the bed. “What about it now?“
Hannibal’s voice is rough and Will knows that the answer he has isn’t what the question was about, but it is the only one he has to give. He tries to say it lightly, keeping his voice low. “Well, you took it from me. So, if we make this work, you’ll have to go and replace it.“
Something breaks in Hannibal’s gaze. There is light and darkness seeping into it in equal measure and it thrills Will to no end to see it. Hannibal’s voice is the roughest he has ever heard it, the accent strong. “I will not let you go, now.“
Will smiles. To everyone else, this would have been a threat. To Will, it’s the conclusion of a courtship that’s lasted six years. He’s been caught, and now he’s free. “Where do we go from here?“
Hannibal nuzzles into the Will’s neck, his words breathed onto sweaty skin. “How about we pay a visit to an old friend?“

The Lecter Family No.1
A/N: So I decided to write the moments I made the chats of and many others because I love the idea of a Hannigram/Addams Family AU. You would not believe how hard it was to find the french Morticia uses in the scene whilst she talks about the sun. Fun Fact: it translates to “He pierces me like a dagger”. I also had to look up Hugh Dancy’s eye colour because I kept getting confused between them being blue or light green. They are in fact the latter. Sorry if it sucks.
Hannibal gazed down at his husband’s sleeping form. His dark curls surrounding his head like a fallen angel’s halo. If he had his sketchbook, he would be etching the image of his husband into the pages like he had done multiple times before.
“Look at him.” Hannibal spoke quietly into his and Will’s bedroom. He smiled at Will’s position; both of his hands were above his head while his head was tilted slightly to his right.
“I would die for him,” he declared, “I would kill for him.”
Hannibal smirked at his claim. He had killed for Will before and would gladly do so again. Will would do the same in return without question.
“Either way, what bliss?” The Lithuanian shrugged to himself briefly glancing around the room before returning his attention to his husband.
Almost as if he had heard Hannibal, Will’s eyes fluttered open.
“Unhappy darling?” He asked.
“Oh, yes. Yes completely.” Will replied. His voice was raspy from waking up. His smile was gentle yet suggestive as he looked his husband up and down.
Hannibal sat on the bed and leant into the hand that Will had placed on the side of his face.
“Hannibal.”
Will raised his other hand to protect his light green eyes from the sun’s rays that began to trespass into their dark quarters. The bright light seemed to only illuminate Will’s pale skin which gleamed like the moons silvery glow.
“The sun... Il me perce comme un poignard.”
Hannibal leaned further towards Will as he gripped his hand that was previously resting on his face.
“Oh Will. That’s french.”
“Oui” Will smirked at Hannibal as his husband pulled his hand closer to his face.
“Mylimasis.” Hannibal kissed Will’s hand before rising from their bed and grabbing one of his fencing sabres from its resting place.
“En garde, Monsieur Soleil!” He exclaimed dramatically before using the sabre to close the blinds that were allowing the sun to blind his beloved. He turned back to Will briefly before placing the sabre back in its place.
“Hannibal” Will recaptured his attention.
“Meile?”
“Last night you were unhinged. You were like some desperate, howling demon. You frightened me.” Will admitted.
Hannibal moved closer with a concerned look. Then Will smirked and Hannibal felt himself grin in response.
“Do it again!”

Fic rec: “every captive soul” by Lizzen
If you’re, like me, a sucker for post-s3 poetically evocative stream-of-thought-ish 1k Marlana fics which cut straight into your soul by bittersweet way of Margot’s psyche, composed of a collection of brief experiences and memories strung together like spare yet elegant pearls on a string, then boy, do I have the rec for you! I just really fricking love the clean, profound style of this, where there is so much left unsaid, deftly implied rather than outright stated, but so keenly felt nonetheless. Short but excellent.

There’s a certain beauty to Cinque Terre that is unparalleled in the rest of the world. An exquisite coastal scene, dramatic in views and ancient of days. And it’s quite difficult to get there by foot, car, train, or ferry. Rapunzel’s tower amidst the stunning Mediterranean seaside and obscured by determined tourists.
They have rooms in two of the villages, and access to a cabin in the woods. Margot arranges for guns, neatly hidden, and men, well paid. Darkness seems to follow her steps so she has learned to have teeth. And to know when to bare them.
After all, she has so much to protect.
