The concept album was my introduction to Death Note as well, but I feel like the L in the songs is a much more dramatic take on L? Which, y’know, makes sense, since it’s ✨musical theatre✨ and all. Like, “The Game Begins” is SO fun, but we’d never get a monologue like it from L in the manga or anime. Idk, the musical paints a bit of a different image of L to me. Not a bad one at all, just a different one.

GOOOOOD musical L when I first watched the musical I wanted to pick him up take him out of the screen and squeeze him like a stress ball. honestly I loved (love?) him maybe even more than anime L dhdhhdh

I'll put a break in here because I think I'm gonna say a lot

like. he did so many things like anime L (I've never read the manga so I see that L as "base" L) but also I feel had his own quirks. like how he hopped onto chairs (Teen Angst L did this too but because it was screen not stage it felt different. I've done stage acting before so maybe it's just me but screen doesn't feel as close, I just loooove stage acting, UGH. This was also why it was more dramatic in some places, you have to act for the whole audience but, I'm assuming you didn't see it live, WAIT have you even watched the recorded version?? It's on YouTube it's sooo good the subtitles are great too, you can sing along to the songs. it's in Japanese tho. Anyway my point was going to be, because you're acting for people really far away, your movements will be big and dramatic and you'll notice this if it's recorded up close).

HIS VOICE WAS SO NICE TOO like damn this is a fine ass man. His songs, I agree looking back at them they aren't all things anime L would say, especially not unprompted. But I don't think that it was so far out of character that it was unbelievable, you know? I actually think that though yes, the Game Begins was dramatic, that was just the song and not the tone of it, if that makes sense. I'd say songs like Playing His Game and (I can't remember the name but the one LawLight duet they sing at the college? not the tennis one. UGH I know the Japanese...) Anyway, I'd say those songs are more ooc. Cause I think L sees all of his cases as a game, his job as a game. Like yes he cares about human life but he also only takes on interesting cases. I've heard this is more like his manga version, which is kinda cool that this "headcanon" of mine is "canon."

AHAHA anyway the point I was actually going to make with that paragraph was: in the final song (a little ooc but in some lines very in character) L holds this one "O" note that makes me go WEAK IN THE KNEES and of course Light is singing over it at the same time, sobs. This is in the Japanese version. I prefer that version overall, but I like some of the English songs too, like Playing His Game and Requiem. So if you haven't listened to it YOU SHOULD!! It's on YouTube music, you can search up english song name + death note musical. A lot of them are by "LyricNear" I think. and you can ofc watch the full musical. but aaaa the final song breaks my heart but I have to listen to that goddamn note... you guys... you don't understand.

Uh, the musical did of course take some creative liberties. There was no Matsuda which I will always bring up because it is a crime, MUSICAL REMISA WAS THE BEST, the limited runtime cut plots and explanations (I kind of appreciated the ending, though I cried because I was hoping it would end differently), and I don't think they had a Watari. Actually thinking about that, that's probably the most ooc L thing in the whole movie: being able to take care of himself. (well presumably to some degree considering he's still alive at the start)

But yeah... I love musical L... I don't mind when he's ooc because it only disrupts soft headcanons of mine, not hard ones. I also haven't watched it for a while so I may be misremembering some things, but still. Gosh I really want to hug him... his clothes look so soft.... maybe I'll just steal his voice box/j

I know sending in sentence starters isn't always up everyone's alley and it's a little harder when it comes to interacting with a character who's canonically dead in present day, like mine. Although (I need to write up the details for the first iteration of it) I do have her resurrected in a present timeline (see tags). If Jimmy win a life series (probably wouldn't happen for a LONG while), can I suggest we give him the LIGHT imagery for the sun, moon and stars thing. I think there no rule stating it has to be a celestial body.

Here me out. Why would I give Jimmy the Light imagery if he wins? There are many things I want to point but can say because I have no coherent thoughts. Anyway, why?

Think a minute what enters your mind when Jimmy is in the life series with his choose team mates. Laughter, Joy, Warmth, GLOW, or Home. That is at least for me what I think. I can't think much of negative connotation of him when it comes to the series.

I just felt Light suits him. With his overall feel and connection with everybody and the way he interact with people and how he brings laughter to the life games despite being use by the watcher to gather despair. Maybe that's why they want Jimmy out first cause he didn't bring negative emotion but rather positive with the people around him.

(also Note: We should make Scar the Earth if he wins or Mercury since it is the closest to the Sun. Or BigB should be Earth or may be Ren. Who knows. XD)

Metallic Sailor Sun (Osaka Naru)

Osaka Naru never gained this form until the 30th century, but, In her past life in the Golden Kingdom in the era of the Silver Milennium Moon Kingdom, she was "Princess Osakaite", Beryl's secret daughter. She regained that dark form in Crystal Tokyo, trying to revive the Shitennou before being drawn into battle against her estranged best friend Usagi.

She is directly linked to Queen Metallia, and never became Sailor Sun in her past life; to do so is apocalypse-adjacent, a little like the "Messiah of Silence" Sailor Saturn who has a connection with Pharaoh 90. In her past life, Osakaite willingly sealed up her powers (with the help of the Shitennou) in an attempt to prevent the destruction of SilMil and the Golden Kingdom; but she was killed by the DD Girls, and soon afterwards both kingdoms fell anyway.

The seal wasn't perfect, which is my headcanon for why she canonically glows red in episode 23 when protecting Nephrite from the moon tiara- her sealed powers are trying (and failing) to emerge...

In the 30th century she's finally able to become a Sailor Soldier for the first time with the help of Usagi and Helios (who guards a part of the sun's power in Elysion), and she acts as a counterpart with Eternal Sailor Moon!

Her costume parallels Eternal Sailor Moon's,, although the black parts represent the sealed Queen Metalia, and a balance between Cosmos and Chaos. She also has the same style of shoulder epaulets as the Golden Kingdom form of Sir Nephrite, and her collar and fuku resemble the piping of a Shitennou uniform, representing her connection between the Earth and the Moon.

However, she still looks up to Usagi, who is ultimately the main heroine of the setting- but the estranged friends are finally reunited as partners, working together to try to save the universe at the end of time.

She can use "Sun Orbital Attraction" to telekinetically pull or push things in a circle around her (turns out attracting monsters was an actual power all along XD). This power may also work on the solar senshi for coordination maneuvers...?

Her staff is the same crystal ball staff Beryl used in the 90s anime (Beryl's own staff is the pointy one from the manga/crystal, and in one random scene of the anime), but in it's purified form it's revealed to be the "Sun Stick"!

With the Sun Stick she can use "Sun Healing Energization", which doesn't purify things like Sailor Moon, but can physically heal people by willingly giving them some of her own energy (which she also kinda halfway did in episode 19 by suddenly giving the surrpised "Tuxedo Nephrite" her energy).

If I stick to my guns and keep this in continuity with my previous 512TR(ans) comic, then Naru may secretly have been a transgender girl all along, and thus mistakenly thought she could never be a real sailor soldier... but Usagi and the senshi tell her she's just as much of a real girl as any of them 🏳️‍⚧️

By the way, there's also a beautiful and awesome webcomic being made by JKellicu on ComicFury about Naru becoming Sailor Earth. Although my approach is different, I consider Sailor Earth a major inspiration and I love it! If Naru-as-a-senshi stories interest you, hers is a must-read!:

Marxolor is a pretty popular ship in the fandom, and not to bash on anyone at all but I always found it weird cause I see Marx as a child character and Mago as an adult. But neither have canon ages so it's up to interpretation.

I see Marx as a kid cause his scheme was pretty simple and basically only involved him telling Kirby he needed help (and getting the Sun and Moon to fight which is either magic or basic manipulation skills). Plus when he gets his power he talks about just causing trouble and seems really childish in his goals. On the other hand Mago has knowledge of ancient history and technology, manned an ancient ship, and was able to manipulate 4 people - including atleast 2 adults - on the fly. And his betrayal showed a lot of bravado and purpose, taunting the team very sarcastically and choosing to specifically rub salt in their wounds. It's very likely just a writing scope thing here, Marx is a platformer villain from the 90s with like 10 lines max and Magolor is far more fleshed out, but it still translates as different levels of complexity to me.

It just has me curious like... how common is that line of thinking? And also like in general how do most people choose how to read characters who don't have clear or canon ages? Are there people who think Mago and Marx are both kids? Are their people who think Mago is a kid and Marx is an adult for reasons opposite of mine? Idk it's funny.
