I have been revisting my old story concept The Genesis Gauntlet.
A story about a guy who gains the ability to turn inanimate objects into sentient warriors, and the really gory battles that occurs when monsters made from inanimate objects come to kill him and his new found family.
It’s basically just a super intense excuse for gijnka and a lot of lovable characters who all die horribly. It’s a ton of fun.
The Narrative watches stories unfold through the simple act of plucking berries from bushes and dropping them into a pool of water
It is a bad idea for them to watch them together due to needed spare eyes to watch for any oddities, but they watch and bond over the stories anyways if it is a mutually enjoyed world and place and people
Their favorite happens to be Tra'Mere, as their favorite mortal is; Scarlette Younge the shut-in
Given just how broad werewolf designs have already been in various media (I still think about the wild boar looking werewolves from that one movie) you can make a werewolf look like just about anything so long as you pull off the vibe and it fits the story.
There’s already a bunch of werewolves that are more or less a mashup of feline, monkey, and bear features. I know there’s one based on a fucking wild boar.
There’s nothing stopping you from using like insect, fish, or reptile features in your werewolves if you can figure out how to pull it off.
In typical me fashion my presents to people are almost always monster designs and today is no different, have Eme and Iris monster designs :D
Eme's eyes don't really open, I don't think he has an issue getting around at all but generally his eyes are almost always closed. He does have very good hearing and other senses. It's not easy to tell if he can also see somehow or if he just uses his other senses.
This design for Iris is her natural state, she never shows her natural face but she has a collection of masks she often switches out. However, she can shapeshift into more solid-appearing forms with startling detail.
I’m Eric, developer of Partridge Valley. Partridge Valley is a hand-drawn open world RPG roughly the size of Zelda 1. I’ve been working on it since summer 2021 and have been sharing a lot about it over on Twitter, but decided to make the jump to Tumblr because .. you know.
Anyway, a little about the game:
As I mentioned before, this is a turn-based RPG with an overworld the same size as Zelda 1. But in this game, instead of going on a quest for a princess or the triforce, you really just want a couch 😩🛋️
There are well over 50 unique monsters in Partridge Valley, each with their own signature move. Many monsters will leave behind an item that lets you use one of their moves.
This turn-based game has plenty of action outside of battle, too. Most weapons grant access to field moves that let you destroy enemies or obstacles with the press of a button, and there are plenty of gaps to jump and puzzles to solve.
I’m hoping to release Partridge Valley in 2024.

Quick post of some DnD creature concepts for my campaign c: I like to make new beasties to throw at my poor players!
Razor Wings is a misnomer of a name, as the wings have no razors...named more after for the “razor” on the top that they bring down hard to butcher carcasses and prey. A group of razor wings is known as a butcher!
Soft Foots are very quiet creatures, extremely stealthy...and the players are already finding it cute and small! They don’t believe me they will hate it rather quickly XD
