Not my art (maybe not the best way to start out my art blog, but eh), but an awesome commission of one of my D&D characters by @monstatron! Thank you once again. :-]
We're halfway through Julycanthropy, and so here we are, celebrating all the gnarly (affectionate) lycanthropic art you make right here on Tumblr.
(Werewolves, by nature, are a teensy bit body horror adjacent. We've kept that to a minimum here, but just so you know, proceed with caution if that's not at all your thing.)

And, a little bonus! @joemerl is sharing daily snippets from their work-in-progress werewolf novel here!
Question- do you have any particular favorite sources or blogs to find spicy terato art? Looking to expand the follow list :)
Well, they won't all be specifically spicy, but I can point you in the direction of some people I follow who frequently create/reblog monster and nonhuman art in general:
@ramlightly
@oracleact
@suckingmonstercxck
@furrbbyx
@nesskain
@demitsorou
@dark-kanova
@snejkha
@bucketsofmonsters
@wired-for-weird
@whiteleech
@vicekillx
@thezerada
@lajadelmira
@monstatron
And there's a lot more I could mention, but I don't want this post to be too long. So if any monster artists/blogs want to raise their hand and bring this anon to them then feel free to do so in the replies!
I forgot to post this here AAAAA. Anyway, this is an oc crossover with my oc, Drake (on the right) and @monstatron ‘s oc, Obasi (on the left). This is an art gift because I love their monster art, plus they have been an inspiration for me and my art.
1. How did you get into drawing Yautja? How did you learn/teach yourself how to draw them?
2. What’re your inspirations?
3. Are you an artist irl? Do you make a living off the industry through art?
4. Who’s your favorite Predator?
___________
I hope some of you respond! I’ll put my favorites below. I know I’ll miss a few, inevitably, but these are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I follow so many but these are the ones I can think of to hopefully ask. 😁
Also, make sure to follow these artists, ya’ll! Their work is phenomenal! ❤️ Help support the artists in the Predator community. 🤩
(I'd like to preface this with the fact that no, this isn't a 'Demons good angels bad' plot, but Magnaterra DOES have its own take on Demons and Angels and they aren't quite 'bible accurate' lmao)
(Also, art by the lovely and ever-talented @monstatron =})

King of the Dark, Stygian God of Ashen Stars and Father of the Apocalypse; these are just some of the titles given to the abyssal god spawned of the Mother Void, who's providences include the cold, the dark and even, peculiarly, life.
The cosmic beast is the incarnation of Primal Darkness that brought the whispering traces of Void wherever its hooves fell, and with it the great cold that seeped into every inch of the cosmos. It is not a malicious entity, however, and is simply the dark and cold that balanced a world that was once full of naught but blinding light and heat. The flames that burn along its back and form its musculature beneath its frigid, black flesh, are a reminder of this balance it is a part of, and burn hotter than any supernova.
Though its true face is seldom seen amongst mortals, it is believed to take on many forms to interact with the mortal beings it is largely responsible for the existence of, the main form being that of a tall, thin goat-man with two cat-like tails and fur of various scarlet, brown and black hues. It is said that through this body, Shei has attained a mortal wife, and their firstborn child will bring oblivion at the end of time, when the Gods see fit for it all to end.
As an Outward-Facing One and spawn of the Mother Void, Shei's power is immense and on a truly cosmic scale, able to bend even the smallest shadow into a world-devouring darkness, and able to drain the heat from anything its hooves fall upon. Its char-like flesh is nigh-impenetrable, and its claws and horns are said to be able to tear through time and space itself. As with other OFOs it is borderline unkillable, even by other cosmic entities, and to gaze upon its true eye, the one embedded within its chest, it is said a mortal mind will be subjected to the sight of everything at once; past, present, future, that which will happen and that which will not.
Despite this, however, the creature is amicable and kind, especially within its mortal forms, and its eldritch, demonic figure belies the friendly spirit it is truly. It is currently unknown how or why something so cosmically alien to mortal life is capable of processing mortal thoughts and emotions, though that may be due to its origin as the source of mortal life to begin with.
♥ Happy birthday dude! ♥ you're one of the best people I've met and I hope you know I'm gonna be here for you always no matter what. You're an amazing person and an amazing friend! Never change!
D’aagor Ilias T’silth was a drakan extremist and former Captain of the Aldaron Royal Guard. Prior to his defection from the empire, he was considered to be the greatest warrior they had ever produced. As a part of the court of King Severus, D’aagor was a very powerful and influential member of drakan society and held immense sway with the elders of the empire. To his people, D’aagor was a hero and a paragon of power synonymous with strength.
Though all dragons feared or hated humans to some extent, D’aagor’s views on humanity were always notably extreme. Nevertheless, due to his status, few ever spoke ill of him. His views only became more extreme as time went on, and by the time an unknown human had slain his husband, he was finally prompted into taking action.
D’aagor declared war on the human race in August of 1983, and led an army of friends and former soldiers sympathetic to his cause. His goal was the total extermination of the human race, and were it not for the efforts of King Sirus and the First Heroes, he very well may have succeeded. D’aagor’s war lasted three years and ended deep in the heart of the antarctic with his death at the hands of Peter Marx.
D’aagor was a Mountain Dragon of Ice, renowned for his ice’s crimson hue. He was trained in a number of drakan fighting styles and had mastery over several weapons, but fought most commonly with a sword which amplified his magical power. He was a talented mage and a brutal warrior with a keen intellect who was widely considered to have no flaws.
Prior to the war, D’aagor attempted a failed coup of the Aldarian Empire when current King of Dragons Sirus Albion ascended to the throne, ultimately leading to D’aagor’s exile. To those who were tasked with watching him, he seemed intent on spending the rest of his days in peace with his husband. One sometimes can’t help but wonder what the world would be like today if he had been granted that opportunity.
