I just found out that Mitten Squad, the much beloved Skyrim and Fallout challenge runner, has passed away.
I've been watching his videos for the better part of three years, at least. We all knew he wasn't well. Even before he stopped uploading, we knew. It was clear as day. But I know we all had hope that we would see him bounce back.
When I heard that he was getting better, I was absolutely thrilled. I couldn't wait to see the funny Fallout-man making videos again, but more than that, I was just glad that he was in a better place. And now... well, I guess the latter still rings true, but...
Just... damn. There are no words.
My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones and to the Mitten Squad community as a whole.
I don't know the exact circumstances of his passing. I've seen a lot of vultures on YouTube reporting on his passing. I've done my best to ignore them.
But the circumstances don't matter much, right now. What matters is that we remember a legend within our community and keep him in our hearts and minds.

just found out that Mittensquad, a staple in the fallout yt community, has passed away.
Considering the amount of death hoaxes on the net, I really really want this to be a hoax but the information on his twitter/channel about his pancreatitis tells me it’s probably not a hoax.
This was shit news to wake up to, and i just want to send a thank you to him into the beyond for all the joy that he’s not just given our community, but his family, friends and everyone he’s affected.

Mitten Squad was like a cousin you don't get to see very often, but you always have a good time hanging out with when you get to visit. Hearing about his passing is like a gut punch.
Rest easy Paul, I'm sure we will see you again when you clip through the gates of heaven with only a wooden plate and a bucket 💚

Paul of Mitten Squad has died. The cause of death hasn’t been posted but it’s suspected to be his pancreatitis caused by severe alcohol addiction.
You can leave your well wishes and thoughts here.
I’m honestly so devastated. It’s horrifying to me that he’s died and people are still making fun of his appearance.
He was so optimistic with his last post, even saying “I’m not dead” — the world is cruel.
Paul was one of if not my favorite YouTuber.
I still can’t believe he’s really gone.
I can’t believe I’ll never hear “my name is Paul from mitten squad, have a wonderful day” again. I can’t believe I’ll never hear “if you enjoyed the video or learned something leave a like, if you didn’t enjoy the video or didn’t learn anything leave a dislike” ever again.
I can’t believe his last video was about addiction.
What a cruel joke.

So over two years ago I decided to collect all of the buckets I could find in Skyrim cause I was inspired by Mitten Squads as he continually made jokes about them. Posted the screenshot and a couple people laughed and thought about him as well.
So I was heartbroken when I heard the news today that he sadly passed a few days. For someone who made me chuckle when I was feeling down this hurt. I hoped he realized how many people's lives he impacted with his funny challenge videos. Rest in peace.

Just found out one of my absolute favorite youtubers Mitten Squad passed away 😢
I've only cried for 6 celebrity status people who have died before, and today makes 7 for Paul.
