Sherman should have gotten rid of the embarrassment that is the south.
Listen.
EVERYBODY knows (or should) that you DO. NOT. STOP. in Vidor, Texas.
It’s best to just run out of gas elsewhere. Whatever you do, black folks, DO NOT STOP IN VIDOR, TEXAS.
There’s a good chance you’ll get lynched or just come up missing - and I’m not joking.

I regret to inform you that Discord's new Terms of Service includes an arbitration clause. You can find it here https://discord.com/terms/#16. This clause includes an opt-out, which I have transcribed here:
You can decline this agreement to arbitrate by emailing an opt-out notice to [email protected] within 30 days of April 15, 2024 or when you first register your Discord account, whichever is later; otherwise, you shall be bound to arbitrate disputes in accordance with the terms of these paragraphs. If you opt out of these arbitration provisions, Discord also will not be bound by them.
These clauses are underhanded ways that corporations seek to deprive you of your right to participate in class-action lawsuits and your right to a jury trial. (This does only apply to us users ,other people still spread the word though )

What I'm gathering from this is 'The uyghur genocide isn't real, but even if it is, they deserve it!'
Sounds awful familiar, no?
I was going to argue further, but really, it's not worth either of our times. I'd ask you to reevaluate your dangerous views on the world, as you admit the Chinese force the Uyghurs to do in 're-education camps', but it's rather clear you are deeply entrenched in your authoritarian beliefs (oh, and it's also pretty damn clear you've never actually read any of the works of Marx and Engels). Good day.
also, a friendly reminder, the world we live in now consists of an active genocide.
of warcrimes being posted on twitter by the official account of israeli government.
of people looking at children, women and men being bombed, killed, starved and butchered and saying it is okay because of a single terrorist group, THAT ISRAEL CREATED.
of westerners saying to look away from the slaughter happening in gaza because your mental health is more important than thousands of lives.
of israeli politicians straight up using propaganda from nazi handbooks to dehumanise palestinians, calling them less than human, less than the rest of us, animals.
and what one palestinian man posted on his social media hit me more than anything: “if we actually were animals, people would care.”

Reminder reminder
(And I'd like to note, this isn't a what-aboutism, or denying genocide in Palestine, or anything of the sort. I am very much pro-palestine.)
The genocide in Palestine, is, unfortunately, far from the only one occurring at the moment. There are a handful of note, most obviously perhaps is the ongoing persecution, imprisonment, sterilization, forced labor, forced cultural assimilation, and many other crimes the CCP is currently committing against Uyghur Muslims in the Xinjiang province of western China. Conservative estimates place the number of Uyghur Muslims being held in large forced labor camps, which are horribly reminiscent of those of the holocaust, as being at least one million people. It is the largest detention of an ethnic minority since the holocaust.
I bring all this up, not as a 'what-aboutism', or at all trying to detract from the crimes being committed against Palestinians every day. But rather, I'd like to remind people that Palestine isn't the only genocide occurring in the world. It's happening everywhere, from east to west, sometimes right under our noses, and it is absolutely essential that we do our part as human beings and speak out against it, wherever it may be found.

I understand and sympathize with the concept, but you aren't 'the boot' just because you own capital. You aren't oppressing anyone else by being a homeowner or having a car or hell just having savings. It's becomes a problem when anyone has vast capital, to the point where they either have considerable influence over other people (IE, landlords, big companies, etc etc) or to the point where the capital counts as clearly excessive and has gone beyond the point of surviving and thriving and has become mindless materialism for the sake of materialism (mansions, excessively expensive cars, private jets, etc). Still, I understand the sentiment, but everyone has something that could he considered capital, so I think its silly to say anyone who has any amount of capital is inherently an opressor.

I'm convinced there's a massive fed psyop to make all non-authoritarian leftist ideologies look bad by placing awful people who hold those opinions at the top of the public mind when it comes to those ideologies in particular
Like how Chompsky took money from Epstien and overall was just a massive hypocrite/champagne socialist
And more recently how Vaush, one of the most popular figureheads on online libertarian socialism, was revealed to be a pedophile and a bestiophile or whatever the fuck those people are called.
Maybe I'm just crazy

1. And one blue liberal who is all for 'comprimising' with the republican party in an otherwise entirely red legislature is going to do anything?
2. Voting may be action, but it is action that is designed for the purpose of making people feel like they did something that matters when in reality, voting matters little, especially in extremely red states with red legislature. By participating in voting, you actively continue to support the broken system that has led half the country to be ruled by fascists and the other half to be ruled by those that tolerate and want to compromise with fascism. In short, voting, for 99% of people, is a sham which makes them feel like they have power, and for 1% of people such as yourself that live in areas where the results of an election isn't a landslide in one direction or another, gives you some power, but very little, due to the majority of other jurisdictions having set in stone winners and lovers.
3. I am an anarcho-syndicalist, and I'm perfectly aware of the tenets of the ideology. However, there is a huge difference from voting in an anarcho-syndicalist/union election and voting in an American election. In an anarcho-syndicalist election, anyone can win. Anyone who a large amount of people feel represent their interests can win. In an American election, there are two options for who can feasibly win, fascists and those that are willing to collaborate with fascists. Not to mention both sides bow down to big business. In an anarcho-syndicalist election, you have choices, real choices. In an American election, you're choosing between 99% hitler and 100% hitler.
4. I'd call you out for an ad hominem, but to be fair I did that first.
Look. I'm not calling you evil. You're doing what you think is right, what you believe is making a difference. The issue lies in the fact is that in your belief that you're making a difference, you and millions of others who think they're making a difference are reinforcing a system you don't need to participate in and is actively designed to stay the course and keep the status quo. The inherent truth is that American 'democracy' is too rotten and rigged to make any real change a possibility whilst inside the system. We must demand the system changes, and the way of doing that is not going to be found in electing people who have much to gain if the system stays the same and much to lose if it changes. I mean, it's like someone saying 'I'm gonna be a cop to make cops less brutal from the inside!' Even if they stick to that promise, which is unlikely due to what cops stand to lose if they lost things like qualified immunity, one or two pure hearts isn't enough to change the system.
