@houseofglass is a brilliant example of so many bronly idiocies including using gross number ratings from friggin wikipedia without any adjustments as per industry standard to try to prove a point (badly) which anyone with any industry knowledge literally facepalms at having proven a hundred times how wrong this is (people from all sides of fandom by the way)

@tinkdw Didn’t know I was a ‘bronly’, thanks for the label. I don’t necessarily agree with it, but if it’s important to you to label me than so be it.

I think many of us have learned from the current American administration that some sources are not reliable, and adjusting numbers is one way of skewing the results. The reason I used Wikipedia is because it’s a reliable source, kept up-to-date, and vetted.

Misha Collins is not as important to Supernatural as Jared and Jensen are. Maybe he is to you, and the small but very loud portion of the fandom that believes the show should be more about Destiel than two brothers and a cool car.

I care a lot that he at some point, maybe even now, thinks he doesn’t deserve to be looked up to, that he doesn’t understand why people would choose him to be their idol.

You’re right Misha.

Why would I, and many others, choose someone who gives, and gives and gives, and brings smiles to hundreds of people- someone who is genuinely one of the kindest, most caring people I’ve met- someone who is so truly good intention that it just lights up my heart. Why would I pick someone like that as my role model? Why on earth would I, pick someone who is amazing and I strive to be like, as my role model?

I understand everyone feels insecure/unsure of themselves, but with all due respect Collins, stop. You are an amazing person. I met you, you can’t lie to me. You treated me with kindness, like all the others you’ve met. Not everyone is perfect, no one is, not everyone is kind all the time. Maybe you’ve slipped up before- not that I’ve seen or heard of, but then again, I’m not really there in your personal life.

But please, please realize that you- you sir, are an amazing role model. I strive to be like you, and hopefully one day I will- hopefully one day I’ll be where I want, and actually be able to tell this to you. I know you won’t see this- I have no expectations for you to. This is more for me, because one day, I will. I will do what I love- acting, or writing, whichever I end up pursuing more- hopefully both, if I can. But I will get to a point where I can tell you, and I’ll friggin tell you.

Heck, I’m going to dedicate my first book to you. Because I can. I’m going to tell the world how amazing you are in that little dedication page.
