My first time noticing Blephilia ciliata or ciliated horse mint winter basal foliage. I think I never realized how hispid the hairs were on the base nor have I really seen a complete mat before uninterrupted. I think Im just used to seeing the cauline section of the plant which is pubescent and has little hair on the leaves; though, the verticillaster is for sure ciliate. I even doubted this was Blephilia for a second due to what looked like no nodal cauline sections for leaves, aka acauline.
Growing in a shallow moss mat on dolomite and shallow mineral soil cliff side of a cold air ravine. Fort Hill SNP, Gorge Trail, Ohio.

Does anyone else really dislike mint?
Like don't get me wrong, minty fresh feels nice
but at the same time my lips and tongue always feel like they're burning slightly
It was definitely worse when I was younger, I guess I'm more used to it now

I am not responsible with breath mints, I will put 5 in my mouth at once, and when those dissolve I put 5 more in. I can get myselves a tin and the entire thing will be empty by the next day. I have to restrain so the mints last more than 30 minutes. I love breath mints so much

Y’all I need there to be just one panel in IDW where Tails is going absolutely feral on a tin of diner mints. Or like sonic is scolding him for eating too many mints and tails just grumbles in response. Hell just a gift box in the background of a panel that says “to tails” and it’s torn open and there a bunch of eaten mint wrappers all over the floor. They need to establish that Tails love for mints is equivalent to sonics love for chili dogs
