#Michelle Yeoh#Tomorrow never dies#James Bond#Wai Lin#mygifs#mine:yeoh#director of photography voice: them clouds#Greer Garson level of face#this is me celebrating the death of internet as we know it in Europe#these are the adventures of Lieutenant Commander Philippa Georgiou who more or less had to recruit her husband for a mission#because SOMEONE landed the ship at the bottom of an ocean and NO ONE knew how to operate a boat#except Nikos Georgiou who happened to be on the ship visiting Philippa#with Milky their dog#and getting the ship out of the water required much exploration of the nearby islands and tractation with the local population#this is Starfleet undersuit for diving and Nikos thinks it is hilarious it makes them look like spies#everyone is terribly cranky during this forced stay except Nikos who is delighted to see how Philippa works from up close#and the chief of security who decided this was a good time to flirt outrageously with Nikos#this amuses greatly Philippa but her CO a little less#because the ship is at the bottom of the ocean and they cannot even properly communicate with the locals#it's a chaotic experience and most of the superior officers end up accidentally stranded and reliving ''Le Radeau de la Méduse''#while half the crew is losing oxygen fast at the bottom of the ocean#contrary to the trope of ''estranged couple reconnecting while stranded together''#the ordeal helps them realise they went as far as they could together - that they both changed and that their paths are diverging from here#it's a bittersweet realisation for both of them because they are best friends but they haven't been spouses for a while#they are okay with the conclusion they reach though and that divorce is moving forward#Lena who follows the whole thing from afar comments that this ship has sailed and Philippa nearly pushes her into the water for this#and Philippa feels like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders to the point where she feels confident enough to confess to Nikos at last#that she has been suspecting for a while that she is exclusively attracted to women and Nikos is extremely proud of her and DAMNIT LENA#WHY ARE YOU STILL LISTENING
