Miitopia Diaries Day 6
Hey, guys. It’s been a while. So, here’s what’s new. Ichiko used a new, but really loud attack. So loud that it hurt my ears. This new attack is called “Out of Tune”, which is like screeching really loud in the mic. Painful to listen, but at least that defeated those monsters.
We then met a guy who’s trying different foods in all of Miitopia. He’s called “my haters”. When we met him, he gave us some cheesecake. I don’t really remember if I liked it or not. Maybe I should try it again.
After our cheesecake snack, Guarana had enough brain food to read a lotta books. Go Guarana!
Somebody’s tired from reading. He sure had a lotta brain fuel.
Bonding workout with Pen.
Well…I dunno what to write for this part :P
Okay, so on our next quest. We met King Daphnes of Greenhorne Castle. I told him about beef boss, but guess what?
I don’t think he believed us. But then…
face got stolen!
Anyone like Guarana’s new Arabian outfit? I sure do. I think he looks cool in it.

Currently Reading: The summer Hikaru died! It's a manga about this boy whose friend Hikaru has recently died and his body has been taken over by this,,,thing. The boy and the thing don't know what it even is actually. But it has all of Hikaru's memories and personality, and the main boy is the only one who knows this isn't Hikaru, but he wants the thing to stick around because he doesn't want to admit that Hikaru is dead and gone.
Also I'm listening to the audio book of Watership down!

That silly little unicorn followed us. It looked like it wanted to join us on our journey, so I let it. Every hero needs a horse companion.

If you couldn't tell by now, one of my biggest passions is studying and improving my Japanese. The biggest aspect of my Japanese I'm trying to improve right now is my speaking and writing. My biggest goal in the future is to fully pass the AAPPL (Seal of Biliteracy) so I can be fluent in Japanese! Besides Japanese, my hobbies are shopping and playing video games. My favorite games are Splatoon 3 and The Legend of Zelda, but lately I've been playing a lot of Miitopia, too.

Super Mario RPG playthrough diary - 30
Now down to the volcano we go, children.
From the cloudy Nimbus Land where they make their homes in thorns from Bean Valley, to the sweltering-hot Barrel Volcano where you could roast marshmallows in the very air around you - from Heaven to Hell, I might add.
Look, the lava doesn't even hurt Mario! He's A-okay, all that happens is that you have to try the challenge again.
Oh, I just realized - you have to hold A the whole time to be able to properly use Geno Blast and Geno Flash!! It's just that I suck eggs at the game, being my first RPG that isn't poker mens or Miitopia.
...Also, is it just me or am I a bit overleveled? Is Smithy himself gonna be a cakewalk compared to other playthroughs?

This thing's eyes are a bit freaky, but I'll manage.
Also, I ran out of all my important Syrups. Detour back to Nimbus Land!
Ah, now I feel much better.
So after a nice coast through the harmless lava depths, we meet Cinder Toad.
I was right when I guessed they'd change Hinopio's then-unchanged-from-Japan-version name to something heat-related but also Toad. But I guessed "Hottoad", so I guess that's a half-truth.
Between the Nether sprouting Mushrooms and two colors of Fungus and this, I'd say the world of video games discovered a rare species of lava mushrooms that grows in volcanos.
Life must be hard at Cinder Mart - he has to manage three stands at once and you need to sleep on a bunch of wooden boxes.
On top of that poopcrust, it took me a bit too long to realize that the way forward is on the other side of Cinder Mart. The alternate path close to the start just gets you more Flower Points to use.
After that is the Czar Dragon Queen Nimbus told us to watch out for.
He has little Helio friends to help him out this time - a trick I think is new.
If you beat him enough, he'll turn into Zombone.
A fun trick you can do to Zombone, whom I never noticed had an outfit in his original sprite until a few days ago, is that he feels a bit of pain, not much, on contact with Pure Water, a known zombie-and-ghost repellant.
There we go, the Red Star Piece...
Or so Mario thought.
We'll find the thieves and show them who's boss next time.

just thinking about how media and memes quickly permeate my brain and just become a regular part of my thought process/communication.
like every time i play miitopia (which i first played FAR before i watched snapcube’s SA2 dub) and a scientist uses glitch, i say (exactly in alfred’s eggman voice): “i’m the glitch! do you know why they call me the mutha fukin glitch?!?!” and i don’t know why just seeing the word “glitch” triggers this but it’s kinda funny
