Six movies I could watch anytime
I was tagged by @blackholes-and-revelations thank you!! <3 so excited ‘cause movies are my life pretty much :) I have so many favorite movies but i did manage to pick 6 to talk about
1. Less Than Zero
Anyone who knows me knows I love this movie- I mean, it’s my icon, header, blog title and bio ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Some would say it’s too depressing to watch more than once, but for me, it’s so good that I always wanna watch it again. It was beautifully filmed, the soundtrack is amazing, and the uncomfortable scenes are excellently uncomfortable. The acting on Robert Downey Jr.’s part was totally riveting. He was so his character, and he’s a character I can see myself in, so I love it for that, too. He keeps me coming back to the movie just to see him again- that’s how much I love that character. This was never a popular movie for a lot of reasons, but to me, it’s special. That’s why it’s my fav
2. Juno
I’ve loved this movie since I was like, 11 years old. I know every word to it. I’ve heard all the jokes in it at least 100 times, but they never stop being funny. It’s clever, touching, comical, and a little genius
3. Donnie Darko
This movie is a different kind of depressing. It’s scary, too, but by the end of the movie, you know what real fear is, in a way. The reason I can watch it over and over again is because everything leading up to the depressing ending is so goddamn engaging and thought provoking. You stick around to find out what’s up with the 6 foot bunny rabbit, you stay for the humor, the excellent soundtrack, the crazy plot, and yes, the 6 foot bunny rabbit. It’s an important movie, in my opinion.
4. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
This movie is just the best. Not a lot happens, but it’s so much fun, and totally hilarious. It has all the aspects of a typical goofy 80′s movie, but then they hit you with Cameron and his problems, which is such an intense thing in the middle of this movie that has you crying of laughter. It’s just so great and 10/10
5. Paranormal Activity 4
I know, I know- how could I love a Paranormal Activity? I casually watch this movie very often, even though I do find it a little scary (admit it, the scenes with the playstation were nightmare inducing), but it’s more enjoyable than it is scary. The boy behind the camera happens to be one of my favorite actors, Matt Shively, and man, I can watch anything he’s in over and over. He brings such a funny essence to everything. Overall it’s a good balance of scary and fun so it’s a winner in my book
6. Coraline
This movie is really off the wall at some parts, but overall it’s great because the character Coraline is just awesome. Blue hair, attitude, clever and adorable. It’s very special to me just because it’s always been a favorite of mine. It’s a little scary and depressing but I would gladly watch it 3 times in one sitting, which I did recently
Honorable mentions because movies are my life and I feel so bad not listing my other faves- Mid90s, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Big Hero 6, The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, The Inbetweeners Movie 1+2, Grind, Diary of A Wimpy Kid Movies, St. Elmo’s Fire, Heathers, Adventureland, The Breakfast Club, About Scout, 10 Things I Hate About You, Winnie The Pooh, The Art Of Getting By, It Follows, Green Room, Fight Club, Pitch Perfect 1+2, Evil Dead 2013, Warm Bodies, Lady Bird, An Extremely Goofy Movie
