So this is Noir -twirls hair and giggles-. Thats his street name. His real name is Damiano Gallo. He is originally from Miami and then moved to Night City to make it big.

His personality is very outgoing, expressive, loves to be the center of attention. He is cunnning, resourceful, but sometimes doesn't think things through. His morals lay in the grey area, and he can be a bit of a scumbag, but he always goes out of his way to help a friend or satisfy a client. Earning trust is important to him.

He is a Fixer in the Glen district of Night City. He runs his office out of a Dollhouse/Night Club called Court Luxe. On some occasions he will work gigs with mercs or go out solo. Rose- Rose plays games like a crazy person. A speedrunner to her core. She even speedruns games like stardew valley. Her favorite game is probably Ultrakill. Has a streaming channel where she doesnt talk just decimates with ruthless efficiency the whole game while chat gapes silently in awe. Breaks almost every speedrunning reccord she can. Mostly plays horror or fighting games. Gets every achievement.

Belladonna: Belladonna plays games where she can hit things with hammers or solve puzzles. Plays shit like hotline Miami or portal 2. Terrible at multiplayer fighting games. Streamed ddlc once and got the shit scared out of her. Mostly action games and rune factory.

Lily: Chill minecraft streamer. Sometimes does art for a stream, or animal crossing. Sometimes she and Rose will collab on an animal crossing stream and Lily will get increasingly distressed (affectionate) by Rose's un-chill gameplay style. Harvest moon.

Kivan: Lily's co-streamer. Mostly does animal crossing, and also does art streams. Multiplayer stresses him out, but he still mains Bridget in guilty gear. He thinks hes really bad at fighting games. He is not. Plays games like ddlc and such in his free time. Stardew valley.

Madam Spiceberry: Streams cute and nice games. Most people stay for her charming voice and kind words. Mostly minecraft as well. Plays games like Rune Factory (specifically 4) and Harvest Moon, mostly. Bad at fighting games.

Opal: Bad at fighting games bc they get bored of it. Very good at fishing games though, for some reason? They love the game Dredge so much. A huge fan of "chill" horror games. Loves open world games and platformers like Slime Rancher.

Carter: A sweet and kind streamer with a gentle voice & comforting voice who exclusively fighting and horror games. Will be gently talking about her day while running from a murderous rabbit in game. Does a lot of sweet little cooking streams too. Also playing Dredge.

Isbeth- Doesnt know what a computer is

Radiance- Streams completely random games at random times. Her subscribers are deeply confused by her. Gets every achievemen.

GIF Art

Hello everyone! For this assignment in Internet Art, I thought of taking some of Miami’s artistic landmarks and try to add my imaginative twist to them. I created animations of what I would imagine these sculptures and artwork, made by other designers and artists, would behave if I were to somehow personify them or add some life to them.

The first landmark is Colombian artist Fernando Botero’s oversized giant naked male torso that was sculpted in 1992 and being placed in the Bayfront Park. According to Roadside America, it vanished from the park in 2016. It reappeared in front of the SLS LUX Hotel in Downtown Miami a couple of years later. I chose this one as I do like human figures in art and since some of Botero’s sculptures delve into the nude quite a bit, and adds a comedic twist by making them appear larger than natural. Horizontally large. And, I think this one does not feel completely obscene as it is just the torso with the nether area covered by a leaf. I simply imagined it breathing, with the chest expanding and contracting.

The second location I picked was the artwork painted on the pillars holding up the Metrorail line that runs parallel to Route 1. Artist Bo Droga painted the pillars to appear as Dominoes as a way of transforming the otherwise mundane area into something more visually appealing and thought evoking. I thought that seeing the dominoes falling like typical dominoes would not hold up. The overpass would have to fall and crumble, which may imply an idea of destruction. So, I simply animated the dots in the dominoes to act in a uniform movement pattern.

The last landmark is the W Miami Hotel right on Brickell Avenue in Downtown Miami, by the Miami River. It has these strange looking, vaguely human head sculptures, designed by the Arquitectonica architect firm, that are supporting columns to the building that line the entrance areas. They are a mix of silver and copper colors. I imagined them discreetly making a face, or maybe the eyes blink when nobody is looking.

The Columns Have Expressions

I used Adobe Photoshop 2023 to create the three artworks, and I used the timeline frame animation software to create the animation frame by frame. To create the frames, I would create a new frame after the first frame and generate new layers with altered subjects to create the movement I wanted to show up in the animation. I would move whatever the subject is after duplicating a frame, hiding the previous one. But I needed to make sure a previously hidden layer would not appear in a later frame.

If I were to give it my all and push these ideas further, I would try to think further on an art style that fits the nature of the idea I have. Something that evokes a sense of mystery or humor. Maybe the style does not matter as much as I think. I simply did not allow myself time to consider the avenues to take. However, the challenge was good to try to take on.

TL;DR. I chose two examples of architecture and a sculpture from Miami and gave them a little bit of life by my imagination and made GIFs of that. I used Photoshop to do it all.
