what are your opinions on monster hunter: stories (i think that's what it's called-) It's my favorite game
Never played Stories 1, but I have 2 for the Switch. I enjoyed playing it but didn't get super far (Probably because I kept farming monsters for parts and stealing their kids).
It's an amazing turn-based adaptation of Monster Hunter games.

After putting it off, I'm finally about to finish my 2nd file on MHS2! Mild spoilers for this game's final fight.
I...just went balling really hard in my first file and brought along whatever genes on my Monsties, but this time I tried to make a more decent build.
Aa promised, I'm again taking the first Kulu you get in the game because nothing is funnier, or more awesome than ending a calamity-bringing monster by having a desert chicken slap it. I gave Kulu Bubbly Dance +2 and Belly Guard+2 for a more defensive build because Oltura has nasty AoE attacks.
It's already useful having Bubbly Dance+2 since its evade lasts for two turns, as can be seen in this vid (Ochre used Bubbly dance the turn before)
The attack genes ARE weak lol, but my priority here was that my dear Ochre had attack genes for all three types that are low-cost, so I can swap to him and do Double Attacks any time.
I'm also taking my Pukei-Pukei this time too, since I always regretted I wasn't able in the final boss fight in my first file (my two Tech monsters then were Kulu and Mizu - I resisted the urge to take Mizu again, because I wanna make Pukei-Pukei shine, but I couldn't help but put a Lagiacrus in my team).
I went with a heavy poison focus, which probably isn't all that smart, and I guess I could have removed the Antivenom and Insomniac genes for something more useful so....yeah, still kinda doing whatever as far as actual build-making goes, but I always played MH for fun.
Now to absolutely humiliate Oltura with my bird wyverns. I'm also taking Ranmar this time! So my final team is Ratha and Lagiacrus for Power, a Tigrex and Velocidrome for Speed, and Kulu and Pukei-Pukei for tech.
In my previous file, I also had Ratha and Lagiacrus for Power, a Rathian and Barioth for Speed, and Kulu and Mizu for Tech.
...probably should have gone with a Ludroth this time but too late to make a proper build for my Royal Ludroths now...I already put off finishing this file so long.

Was talking to a friend and she said that it was sad that Tim didn’t have a childhood to talk about. Like he doesn’t have any funny stories to tell because he was in the mental hospital…but he def does. The psych ward is traumatic and awful as fuck but theres also so many funny stories, you just can’t tell them to people unless you’re close with them. I imagine years down the line something like this happens.
Jay: and thats the story of how I broke my elbow as a kid, pretty crazy right?
Tim: hey did I ever tell you about the kid I was in the hospital with who was made some fake money as a joke and accidentally started a whole black market? Kids were using his money to trade for extra crayons and notebooks shit was wild.
